1. "Kha"
NYC Girl   (06.07.05)
While this piece is very funny, actually, the most guttural "kha" sound is in the Dutch language (which somebody once described as making Hebrew sound like French), but the last time I checked, the Dutch seemed to be pretty peaceful people. Maybe, then, it's more likely the hot sun that's the cause of the problem, although I suppose that spitting at each other might be a useful way of cooling off...assuming you can produce a sufficient amount of saliva when you're out in the desert heat.
2. it is koulo khara b khara
john ,   bemuda   (06.07.05)
Ray you over simplifying things in the end it is all khara b khara I hope you understand what I mean you will if you are a real kudsi i.e. jerusalemite.
3. Golda was right, "Palestinians" don't exist!
Daisy ,   USA   (06.08.05)
Jews were the first to be called "Palestinians" until the Arabs started using the name to steal Jewish land. The "Palestinian" people are a myth created by the Arabs who are nothing but liars!
4. A question to ray
Ahmad Abouali ,   Nablus   (06.08.05)
We call your ilk as 'mfalsaf ziyadeh', you really would like to look at us, the Palestinians, and the colonists as equal, even, and fair, and that is totaly out of place and out of this earth. yes, there is Israel, the "entity" and yes there are Israelis, so? what shall we do, Ray? accept them on our land and tell over 4 million Palestinians to forget your homes and towns becuase "we must realize and live the truth of Israel & israelis existence, while you (the refugees) must start seeing yourselves as mirage, and evaporate yourself, becuase I say so" Listen Ray; you and your ilk who had brought us to this point of dispair, lies, and corrupt PA, I beg you to shut up or just leave us alone, as we say it in Arabaic BLEASE
5. The power of Duh.
akiva rogers ,   Chicago, il   (06.08.05)
Another commonsensical observation discovered by an overeducated college intellectual. I guess you stepped out of Tel Aviv and discovered something. I think the rage thing is more on the Klingon and not the Federation side.
6. to the ynet editors
John ,   Bermuda   (06.08.05)
when Daisy of USA states that Arabs are nothing but liars this is a response which includes incitement and slander. If you insist in allowing such inappropriate language which comes most of the time from supporters of Israel your site will eventually loose its credibility .
7. People only like "Their "Truth
Robert Goldman ,   cooper city Florida   (06.08.05)
If some of you would pick up a history book that was not re written by the PA or some ofther Arab Govt. you might just find the truth. read the history of the peoples of the middle east, read the real history of J'lm and it's true status in the Arab world.... then tell me , who is real and what is false,, or do I need to remind you all of how the land many say we stole was bought from absentee land owners that wanted nothing to do with it and decided on getting a profit from the Jews that wanted it,, my family has been there since 1492, and thats longer then most of the Arabs in the area can trace their familys back from Syria or elsewhere, and most came to the area after WWI while serving the Turks as iregulars in their army. or were tennet farmers who now claim the land learn the history or just remain ignorant
8. You have a point
daniel ,   Amsterdam   (06.08.05)
NYC girl: Dutch is most often described as German with a throat disease. This is a mistake. It's best not to describe Dutch at all. Back to Ray and his thoughts about language. He makes a very true observation that the very fact that we cannot agree on even the simplest of terms is a big problem. Maybe THE problem. From Al Quds/Jerusalem to Independence day/Nakba. We live in completely different realities. I am willing to accept that my good is considered by Palestinians to be evil. But it's still good to me. All I want is that Palestinians are capable of accepting this and then I am willing to accept that what we consider to be evil they consider to be good. We don't have to agree, only accept that (in the words of Bob) 'you're right from your side and I'm right from mine'. I think Ray Hanania does this and this causes an interesting problem as Mr Abouali points out: Hanania does not speak for him. But for who does Mr Abouali speak? What is an authentic Palestinian voice? I'm sure Palestinians love reading Israel Shahak or Uri Avinery. Basically they are Palestinians. There is no point fooling yourself that they represent some sort of Jewish or Israeli point of view since they do not speak for us. They speak for Palestine. What if Ray is like Shahak & Avineri? What if he speaks for Israel? What if his points are essentially our points? When Palestinians say that there is no difference between Avoda and Likud the intention is to make clear that both parties will never consider canceling the state Israel. Therefore they are the same. What then is the difference between Avoda, Likud and Hanania if he also supports the continued existence of Israel? What Mr Abouali says is that you cannot speak for Palestine if you do not believe Israel must be wiped off the map. If you believe in 2 states for 2 people, you commit the sin of accepting a Jewish state. Therefore you are no different that Avoda or Likud, you are essentially one of us. Reflect this type of thinking back on Israeli society and you will come to the insane conclusion that you cannot be a Zionist unless you believe that all Palestinians must be transferred and Kahane was right. This is evidently untrue and so is Mr Abouali's claim that Ray Hanania does not speak for Palestine.
