1. Stubborn Syria
Fadi ,   FL, USA   (06.04.05)
I don't see why Syria shouldn't return this man's body. In the end, we are all human, and this woman deserves to have a proper burial for her father. Stubborn Syria might want to keep this man's body as a trophy, it's not like they ever cared for human life. I hope im proved wrong, and Syria returns this man's body.
2. THOUSANDS OF TERRORISTS RELEASED IN RETURN FOR NOTHING!
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.04.05)
Under U.S. pressure, THOUSANDS of terrorists have been released from Israel's jails - in return for NOTHING! Except a vast increase in the number of maimed and murdered Jews by the released jihadists. Jewish blood is considered cheap. G-D commanded: "You shall not murder" Israel's hundreds of POW/MIAs and Pollard are cruelly betrayed and abandoned. Israel Prisons Authority List: Of the 400 prisoners just released: 76 carried out shooting attacks. 53 planted or threw bombs. 41 were arrested for throwing Molotov cocktails and firebombs. Most of the other prisoners released were convicted of trading weapons, manufacturing bombs and involvement in the murder of Arabs suspected of helping Israel. In return, Israel secured the return of absolutely no one, not even this poor woman's dead father. Releasing violent terrorists for jihad is called the "peace process". How bloody is their Road Map! The Road Map Islamic Terror State reduces TINY Israel to a 9 MILE WIDE BORDER at her middle. No longer a viable country. Compacting little Israel into the world's most over-crowded Jewish ghetto WITH UTTERLY INDEFENSIBLE BORDERS. Enabling a second Holocaust. Will the IDF sworn to defend Israel, allow Israel's Jews to be led like sheep to the slaughter?

NYC Girl   (06.04.05)
Fadi, I certainly agree with you and they may also be using his body as a bargaining chip, but I'm not sure about the likelihood of the Syrians returning Eli Cohen's body to his family. After all, as we know, it was the regime of Hafez al-Assad, the father of the current President, that murdered more than 20,000 Syrians in Hama. In view of that sort of barbarity, it seems hard to imagine they'd have much sympathy for the family of an Israeli spy. And Linda, you're absolutely right. Israel has already released far too many prisoners, who they've ended up re-arresting for engaging in terrorist activities, and for whom they've gotten nothing in return.
4. We want them back
Aharon ,   Israel   (06.04.05)
How can we expect Israel to care for the dead, if it doesn't care for the living? Jonathan Pollard, for example, who's done so much for Israel's security, is suffering in American jail, and the public campaign for his release is going nowhere, since Israel's government has other interests to care for in Washington DC. The issue of returning Eli Cohen's bones to Israel, as well as the return of all missing Israeli soldiers, (and Pollard, in my view, is an Israeli soldier) should be high on Israel's government agenda. It's our duty as Israelis and Jews to work for having our sons back, as the old verse goes: "Veshavu Banim Ligvulam," - and our sons returned to their border.
5. Return ... Yes
Libyan Guy ,   Italy   (06.04.05)
Unfortunately he did his job and got caught, they tortured and teared him apart and in the end they killed him like any spy, its part of the risk of their job, either from one part or another, i beleive that keeping the body is nothing more than just a confirmation of how unhuman arabic dictators are, return his body once and for all. On the other hand, i say to Israel, do your best to uncover the fate of hundards of arabic POW that were taken as prisoners during the arabic 48 - 56 - 67 - 73 wars.
6. Palestinian Prisons
Fadi ,   FL, USA   (06.04.05)
To Linda, I don't think that any of those Israeli POWs are in Palestinian prisons. So I don't see why you demand their release just because Israel is releasing hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. The release of Israeli POWs is a whole different subject, should have nothing do to with the release of Palestinian prisoners, they should be brought up with the Arab states who have them.
7. To Fadi
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.04.05)
The PLO/Palestinian Authority have close contacts with terrorist organizations and Arab governments...often, working together...making it irrelevant that Israel's POW/MIAs are not in Palestinian Authority jails. Statistics prove at least half of the terrorists return to violent jihad - Jewish Israelis paying the price with their blood. This is how Israel pays for releasing the terrorists. Not a fair exchange, is it? For each prisoner released, Israel must receive one back.

Eli Cohen is an entirly different stuation than Pollard. You are on another plannet if you think that Israel should shove this issue forward at diplomatic meetings. I am a Jew and an American and a strong believer in the state of Irael. But come on. Thisn was an embarasment. I am no fan of George Bush, but he has been extremely good to israel. Do you really want to piss off the U.S. over this? It is definatley not worth it. As an American, I do not want my patriotism questioned because I am a Jew.

Doesn't matter if they have contacts. All countries, except the isolated ones, have contacts with their neighbors. Yet, they do not interfere with their neighbor's business. Therefore, the release of Palestinian prisoners is only a matter between Israel and the Palestinians. The Israeli POWs is the matter of Israel and those countries who hold them. Those statistics prove that at least half of the "terrorists" return to their struggle, be grateful that the other half don't return to their struggle, so please, be realistic.
10. Why
George ,   Palestine   (06.05.05)
Israel always take all possible stips to make our life very very difficults! why do you want Syria to release the rmain of Cohin without price? Lets israel release all freedom fighters first! Israel talking about peace and democracy and acting completely opposit

I think you are a paid AIPAC agent. How come you are a watch dog on every article published by ynet____!!!!!!!
12. To Zee in Zee land. YOU REALLY ARE IN ZEE LAND!!!
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.05.05)
AIPAC are as politically correct as you can get. AIPAC's desire to please America and their total political correctness has not saved them from false charges.
13. To Fadi, Psalm 7 :G-D is a righteous judge, and...
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.05.05)
...a G-D who has indignation every day" Fadi you state: "at least half of the terrorists return to their "STRUGGLE". You call acts of murder and terror "struggle". There is coming a Judgment Day. What you call struggle, G-D calls murder! G-D commanded: "You shall not murder" Psalm 17: "I HAVE KEPT FROM THE PATHS OF THE VIOLENT, my steps have held fast to your paths."

Fadi ,   FL, USA   (06.05.05)
You said it yourself Linda: Statistics prove at least half of the terrorists return to violent jihad Jihad means struggle. So you said struggle too.
15. Fadi - Please don't claim I said something I never did
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.05.05)
By the way, it may come as a shock to you on Judgment Day to find out that G-D is the G-D of TRUTH.
