1. Israel must supervise US export to Arab countries

The israeli govrenment is the little dog of the vilain Uncle Sam....Israel must ask to supervise the US weapons exports to arab terrorist countries such as Saudi Arabia and Egypt !

Israel is not in the postion to call the shots with the USA, though. The USA, in a sense owns YOU, because you take the double edged sword gift of being the largest USA financial and military aid recepient on the planet- Not to mention the US conveniently turns a blind eye to your nuclear weapons--The day Israel DOES not take any aid, or bribes, is the day you are really indendent- If that day should come ,expect the USA to invade. JUST KIDDING---
3. US-Israel Defense Relationship
Jonathan ,   Tel Aviv   (06.19.05)
Israel is between a rock and a hard place...The billions Israel receives on a yearly basis in foreign and military aid from Uncle Sam, makes Israel beholden to the powers in the Pentagon! Allowing those guys in the DOD to pass judgement on Israel's military sales will ultimately hurt if not cripple Israel's defense export industry. No foreign government is going to be willing to have IAI or Rafael et al run complete details of any deal by the Boys in the Pentagon... What Mofaz and company don't realize is that the Pentagon is a revolving door vis a vis US defense contractors! The analyst and contract specialist or under secretary at the US DOD of today, is the government contract specialist or vice president of procurement and contract development of tomorrow at Lockheed, and others! It is a very cozy network where the "old boys" network both inside and outside of the Pentagon wouldn't have any qualms at blocking a deal to some country especially if they know that US Defense contractors are also trying to sell that foreign country similar technology! If Israel does sign an agreement that gives the US carte blanche in reviewing every deal...watch many countries turn tail and head for European manufacturers...You might as well think of selling the assets of IAI to Lockheed, Rafael to...and the list goes on! Bibi wants privatization, well your going to get thanks to our firends inside the Beltway! As someone said to me years back regarding the sharing of competative secrets in the business world... DOES MACY'S TELL GIMBELS?!

fascinating how quickly Israel decided that it was wiser to lose the money from this sale and Stand Down. Actually its a good thing that Israel Stood Down...shows that Israel can work within an international framework.

I SUPPORT MY AMERICAN AID TO ISRAEL, BUT NOT TO THE EXTENT THAT BY BUILDING ISRAELI MILITARY STRENGTH, IT GETS TO TO A POINT WHERE IT DEVELOPS WEAPONS TO SELL TO OUR ADVERSARIES IS EVEN THINKABLE. i AM AWARE OF ISRAELI INVOLVEMENT IN THE "IRAN-CONTRA" OPERATION. I HOPE WE HAD SOME TYPE OF "FIX" IN THAT SITUATION, BUT WHO'LL EVER KNOW? CHINA IS , REPEAT, IS A FUTURE THREAT TO THE INTERESTS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THEREFORE, ALSO ISRAEL. MUST WE SELL OUR MILITARY AND SECURITY TECHNOLOGY TO FUTURE ADVERSARIES? IS MONEY, IN WHATEVER CURRENCY FORM, WORTH THE FUTURE, OR EVEN POTENTIAL, COSTS OF OUR SECURITY OR LIVES?
