Avi Beiber is a hero -- He is right and the whole country should stand with him and the other 11 soldiers who were reprimanded.

Hero's are those who do what must be done, not done based on what is right for the country, not what is right for their own good. This man is a hero, and the survivors of this mess will remember him for that. He is not pro or con disengagement, he is anti-suicidal and anti-treason. A true hero is not for the flag but for the country, It takes a pure heart for a man to understand that a flag and a country represents the people of the country, not the leaders. After world war two, at the trials they hung the men who served the flag and not the country. "I was only following orders" does not sit well with God or man.

This is NOT right and we stand with Avi Beiber in his decision and his outrage. This is a travesty of justice. Even Moshe reacted with conscience when he saw an Egyptian taskmaster beating one of his countrymen. Why then should this or ANY IDF soldier not do the same.

Praise God someone is standing up and being heard. This whole thing of moving Jews off their land and out of their homes is absurd and ridiculous to put it in the simplest of terms. Simply put, I stand with the soldiers on this one. I do not agree with this disengagement. Jews don't evict jews and I wear an orange disengagement bracelet to let people know where I personally stand on this issue. I know you've probably heard this hundreds of times, but no land for peace. This will not change things. How much more can be given up for such a small country. The Palestinians will not rest. I feel it will get worse. With the orange bracelet I also wear a green one for support of the IDF.

I would like to tell the soldiers who refused to take part in the evacuation of Jewish settlers that I am very proud of them. I am not Jewish. I am a Christian in the USA and I stand strongly behind the Jewish people and Israel as their God given land. God will not be happy with anyone who aids in giving that land away.

Anything and everything must be done by Israel to prevent the disengagment plans of Sharon and cronies. This is the first step to the destruction of Israel. It is unilateral withdrawal...the PLO are doing nothing and the Hamas lets us know openly what they will do after the withdrawal. It is suicide! It must be stopped. Reading about Avi's actions in Neve Dekalim, I felt a strong sense of hope for this world. Jews don't force Jews off the Land. I'm not Jewish, but even I know this much. Would that the world had more people like Avi Beiber. Please let him know that multitudes stand with him.

I read the article regarding Avi Beiber and the other IDF soldiers who refused to come against the Jewish settlers. I congratulate them. I noticed one of the talkback remarkers called Avi a 'spoiled brat'. I also noticed that no name was given by this remarker. I wonder how this person would react if a military unit came to his/her community and ordered him/her and neighbors to vacate because others wanted their land and homes?

Many people, probably Jews, on this board, keep saying - AJEW doesnt evacuate a Jew etc. etc.- Does this mean they treat Jews different then Arabs and Palestinians? and the Jew WILL occupy the Palestinians land and settle their homes and orchards ( beacuse they arent JEWS)- but they wont do it to Jews- because, well they are Jews. As an American 'Messianic Israelite' believer, I am in total support of Mr. Beiber. It's an oximoron for an IDF soldier to evacuate his own people! I pray more soldiers would follow in his footsteps!
