I think your friend, the anonymous No. 2, was referring to Mohammed al-Dura, the young boy who was ostensibly killed by IDF gunfire at the outset of the so-called intifada. Apparently, though, No. 2 hasn't been keeping up with the news because a German TV station researched the entire incident and it now turns out that, due to the trajectory of the bullets, it was impossible that the boy was killed by the IDF. The most likely scenario is that he was killed by Palestinian gunfire and there was even some speculation, arising from the German research and a photographer at the scene who was threatened with death if he revealed anything he saw, that he may have been shot deliberately. So, I'd suggest that No. 2, and others of like mind, stop calling attention to this incident if their intention is to try to make the Israelis look like child-murderers, because it's only going to backfire.
