When the London bombings hit, I was very saddened and went to sign a condolence book at the British Consulate. But now I feel indifferent, and am hoping Livingstone does not express mainstream British thinking. Still we should at a minimum keep our tourist dollars out of the UK.

Eytan Bentsur is correct in his assessment of the London Mayor. The mayor has an excellent track record as an outspoken antisemite. Clearly he is also very ignorant of the history and current realities of the Middle East. However he is no fool. He knows his customers and how to win votes. There are far more Muslims in London than Jews.

You are both missing the point. Without going in to historical and political issues you raise (I disagree with you for very good reasons), the issue here is whether suicide bombings against civilians can be justified under any circumstances. In some circumstances physical attacks against soldiers can be justified morally-that's called war. But never indiscriminate attacks against civilians, children, innocent bystanders as a deliberate stratergy-that is TERROR. So if you believe the Palestinians have been victimised by the Israelis, attack Israeli soldiers, not 3 year old babies and their grandmothers shopping for birthday cakes, or Muslim girls sitting on the same bus as a suicide bomber, travelling home from school. Livingstone and by implication Blair, and you two, clearly are conditional in you condemnation of terror. We in Israel will not forget that.
