1. egyptian prejudice lives!
mike ,   usa   (07.25.05)
magine the outcry of israel made a comedy mocking egyptians as liars and shady characters. we'd be hearing about jewish 'racism' for years to come. so much for promoting peace and tearing down stereotypes.

5. They mock a lie

6. So what
Egyptian ,   Egypt   (07.25.05)
Most of Adel Imam movies are attacks on somebody. Sometimes the Egyptian government, lawyers, Doctors, Islamic groups, and now it are your turn. After all we are neighbors. And some Israel media keep attacking Egypt, and most of the attacks are pile of lies. I think after the Israel withdraws there will be a chance for a big improvement in the relation between the two countries.
7. We are talking about a comedy movie!
Abdullah ,   Kuwait City, Kuwait   (07.25.05)
What do you guys expect? This is a comedy Egyptian movie that is simply capitalizing on the Middle East peace, which everyone know is in fact cold and a joke! So bottom line, you cannot expect a comedy movie to be based on facts or anything serious! Finally, I am sure there are many Israeli talk shows and sup operas that mock Arabs all the time, so what is the big deal? Smile and laugh that is the best thing a person can do! I mean, when you watch many of Hollywood movies, you'd see many humor about Jews, Arabs, Asians ...etc! Peace
8. What have you expected?
Aaroni Eliahu ,   Upper Nazareth   (07.25.05)
Knowing the Egyptian films as the worst version of the worst latino-american soap operas showing the Egyptians dwelling in terrible flats with dirty walls and falling ceilings, it is not easy to suggest the anti-Semitic e2-e4 move: Egyptian misery is because of the Jews. Funny, but they are right!!! Had Egypt invested all its money in welfare not in hatred the country would have been of different kind. By now misery and hatred march all the way along Albertstrasse.
9. The agreement with Egypt is not peace; its a piece of paper
Zionist ,   World   (07.26.05)
10. waiting jerusalem as its capital!!!!
antonio ,   rio, brazil   (07.26.05)
he will wait for a palestinian state with jerusalem as its capital. wasn"t it exactly what ehud barak offered to arafat???
11. Egypt doesnt want peace, give back Sinai and US $ billions
David Landman ,   Natick, USA   (07.26.05)
Since Egypt doesnt want peace, they should give the Sinai back to Israel and tens of billions back to the US. Egypt stole from the US for a fake peace agreement that they never honored in word or spirit. My wife said her dream was to see the Pyramids in Egypt. I told her mine was to find honorable Arabs and Arab governments who promote peace and tolerance, not lies and incitement. If that happens in my lifetime (doubtful) we may go to Egypt.
12. Despite everything, I wanna see this movie!
Dov ,   Montreal, Canada   (07.26.05)
It would be interesting to watch. A good comedy is always fun, and none of us have any illusions about Egyptian racism in any case. Perhaps it is released somewhere on video? Anybody knows?
13. No sense of humour
PADL ,   Jerusalem   (07.26.05)
Jews go for Jewish humour, Gentile humour no, Arab humour absolutely no.

It's better for you of stay in US. We have enough people with your way of thinking. Your country can't take Sinai back I don’t think we will ever do the same mistakes we did in 1967, and the relation between Egypt and US is not of your business. You can not speak about peace and war in the same time. I have a bad news our Pyramids are not waiting for you.

You know you have a point.Like Egypt ,and i'm sure ,it's a very beautiful country,in part; the palestinians could also be living in a very beautiful city. But as they decided to invest in terror ,and not in welfare,we are now seeing the results.and like you say "The misery of all the arab cities is souly due to the jews";REALLY"what will they think of next? You know it's ok to make a movie ,that is in part political, and part humouristic,"haha" but when the main actor say's in his comments that he will only shake the hand of the ambassador of Israel when "Jerusalem becomes the capitol of palestine" ,labib is showing his very bad choice of career, because at this rate he wont be shaking any body's hand ,if he continues to preach such idiocy.

let them stay where they are and we will stay where we are.they are not nurtured in the bosom of science and the state already has plenty of cheap labour.
18. Incitement masked as "comedy"
Tahl ,   Israel   (07.31.05)
This is nothing new, Egyptian media has been villifying, demonizing, and blatantly lying about Israel ever since Israel's inception, as if no peace agreement was signed. The situations in this movie may be comic, but there is nothing comic about the political agenda which spawned it. When was the last time Egypt did anything to show something positive about this peace agreement? Aside, of course, for celebrating how they got Sinai from Israel and billions from the USA - in exchange for peace they never actually fulfilled. I think Israel is disgracing itself in pandering to Egypt - if this is how they treat us and laugh at us, we should treat them likewise - ban them too, not go to Sinai, our prime minister shouldn't visit Egypt (when was the last time an Egyptian president came here for an official visit?) and we shouldn't buy their gas - until they learn to behave themselves and be better neighbors, and live up to their peace agreement.
19. Movie Criticizes Israeli Politics in the Region, Not Judaism
PERRY ,   VA, USA   (08.28.05)
20. Reaction
Moro ,   Egypt   (08.20.12)
The movie is a reaction to Israel's repressive policies against the innoncent Palestines including children, women and old people in their homeland occuplied by Israel
