1. Excellent Ray
John ,   Bermuda   (08.01.05)
Thank you Ray Shukran you made my day .This is the best of your articles it is very funny , I myself liked it although I bet you a lot of people out there wont just wait for their angry postings.
2. Waiting for the angry responses...where are they?
Daniel ,   Amsterdam   (08.01.05)
Is it because you talk about Jesus? I guess, everybody is used to abusing him. From Superstar to The Passion of Mel , we're used to it. Hey is this maybe the solution to all our problems. We Jews and Palestinians need a common enemy. We need Somebody Else we can both blame! (aliens?) Anyway... I liked the one about the toilet not being occupied but disputed. This is actually less of a joke than you might realise but I will spare you the details. But.... Wait.... Hey! You're mother used to live next door to Jesus? So how was it to live next door to settlers? :P
3. So weird, the author hopes no one will get how offensive
(08.01.05)
it is. Maybe B16 will weigh in and condemn Israelis for this.
4. wrong audience, Ray
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.02.05)
Last fall, the imam at Georgetown University, Yahya Hindi, was invited to address my congregation on Yom Kippur. I couldn't help thinking during his bland and evasive remarks, that the hundreds of Jews assembled before him was not the audience he needed to address. He needed to speak in mosques and tell them to lay off the demonization of Jews, Israel, and Zionism. Of course, he won't do that. Instead, he stands on the podium at CAIR-sponsored publicity stunts - PR events hosted by a documented Hamas and IJ front group. Ray Hanania has the same problem. His audience really shouldn't be readers of YNET. He should be telling Palestinian Arabs how obscene it was for their terrirists to desecrate the churches of Bethlehem (remember the seige?) and about the ongoing decimation, by Muslims, of the Christian Arab populations of the West Bank. Keep your lame jokes. Your real work is elsewhere, Ray.
5. Ray's Got The Worng Audience
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.02.05)
Instead of spending his days writing stupid El AL toilet jokes, why couldn't Ray Hanania do something actually constructive by writing a letter to his fellow Christian Palestinian Arab Hanan Ashrawi and call her on the carpet for her long history of incitement and inflammatory remarks, including her infamous press conference in Washington several years ago when she was calling for that most odious of euphemisms, the One State Solution?
6. L'il
Farouk ,   Jerusalem   (08.03.05)
What seige? Who seiged who and who killed the preists and the alter boy there. plz do not talk about desecration, Israelis have done their bit. Burning the Haram and killing worshippers at the Inbrahimi mosques and turning mosques and churches into nightclubs in haifa and barns in Safad. But hey I am sorry I got angry especially in Ray's room. Christians are not descriminated against by Palestinian muslims ask lame Ray his relatives are still living here. Ray keep it up it is always good to get a sarcastic veiw on things once in a while. If you are ever here I will get with a bunch of Palestinians and Israelis who have made a comedy out the daily situation that made even the most extreme smile.
7. Faulty memory Farouk.........
Suhil ,   London   (08.03.05)
So it wasn't the Muslim Arabs that got into the church and started firing right? It wasn't the gunmen who were urinating on the walls of the church and defacating on the floor while they were inside, right? And it wasn't your guys who were shooting at the Israeli's daring them to atack and be seen damaging a christian Church so as to get hold of Muslim gunmen? You can tell your stories to the press, but my Christian family has left Palestine because of Arafats treatment of our people. He killed the tourist trade in Bethelehem and frightened off the Christian pilgrims. Build a mosque on the doorstep of our Cathedral in Nazereth? Dececration of our Holy Sites? You Muslims were as bad as the Israeli's. Worse in fact, because we should have been brothers.......
8. Farouk, you can't lie and get away with it
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.03.05)
On April 2, 2002, Palestinian Arab Muslim terrorists forced their way into the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem (a Hebrew name, by the way, from Bet Lehem, meaning House of Bread) and held priests and nuns hostage for 38 days. These baby-killing Palestinian Arab Muslim terrorists did in fact defecate and urinate and desecrate a Christian shrine, in order to escape from justice to kill and kill again. And Palestinian Arab Christian emigration from Samaria and Judea is due to Muslim bigotry, and the fact that Christians don't want to be forced into dhimmi status.
9. Farouk spreads another lie
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.03.05)
Israel is the ONLY nation in the Middle East GUARANTEEING freedom of worship and religion for ALL people, citizens and non-citizens. The Al-Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock are under control of the Waqf and you know it. When the holiest place in the world to Jews, the Western Wall, was under Palestinian Arab Muslim control until liberation in 1967, you used it as a toilet. We won't ever forget that, Farouk, even as we protect your right to worship when and where and how you please. And that is the difference between us.
10. your story on jesus.
brenda histed ,   charlotte michigan   (08.03.05)
that is the most saddest thing I ever heard, G-D say's to love him with all your heart and soul and be full of hatered. or to carry a bitter soul. you have issues that you need to address.
11. Some truth on all sides
Ray Hanania ,   Chicago, USA   (08.03.05)
My relatives are Christian and they have been abused by everyone. So let's not pretend that the Israelis or Muslims have been angels ... and tell the truth. The fact is, my relatives who are Christian are prohibited from visiting the so-called "Open City" of Jerusalem because of Israeli policy. That policy should change and ALL peoples should be permitted to visit and worship there. Islamicist extremists in Palestine AND in the US and the West discriminate against Christians all the time and boycott us, blacklist us, attack us, call us names and denounce us as traitors because we advocate a peaceful compromise and oppose violence, especially suicide bombings. As for those who don't like the topic of Jesus and comedy: It's HUMOR. The greatest sin is the sin of not having a sense of humor. You may not laugh, you may laugh hysterically. It doesn't matter. Humor is an important aspect of sanity and those who lack it, well, that might explain why they keep climing on each other's backs to get a free ride across the poisoned ocean : ) The criticism in this piece is not about Jesus or Christians, but against Christian fanatics -- oh, they exist too but are rarely discussed and they are the most anti-Semitic and the most-anti-Muslim. We talk about Jewish settler fanatics and Islamic Hamas fanatics. Watchout for those Christians fanatics who also misrepresent and distort the true meaning of our religion. Just my two "sents" in this debate ... by the way, it's good to see so many people of opposite views come together :) And I congratulate YnetNews for allowing this to happen. You wouldn't see anything like this kind of exchange on any other site, Palestinians or Israeli. Ray Hanania
12. Ray, again you obscure the facts
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.03.05)
Ray seems to have a problem with reality. He complains that "Israeli policy" prohibits his family from visiting Jerusalem. Haven't you noticed there is a war of annihilation being waged against Israel? Considering the gravity of the situation and the enormity of the crime being committed, apparently in perpetuity, by Palestinian Arabs and the rest of the Arab world who refuse to grant Israel the right to live normal lives, in peace, in their independent and free homeland, there will be restrictions on the movement of people. You so disingenuously glide over this most basic historical reality and point your greasy finger of bigoted blame at Israel. That is why you yourself are a joke, Ray. If the Arabs put their weapons down and stopped raising lost generations of children brainwashed to hate the Jews and their absolute and irrefutable claim to Israel, you wouldn't be able to scapegoat "Israeli policy". Schmuck!
13. One more thing, Ray
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.03.05)
You are guilty of playing the obscene game of "moral equivalence", and your post above reeks of it. You write, "My relatives are Christian and they have been abused by everyone. So let's not pretend that the Israelis or Muslims have been angels ... and tell the truth." What truth? That Israelis and Palestinian Arabs, or Arabs in general, are equally to blame for the 57 years of war over the very existence of Israel? It's too late to play the game of moral equivalence here. The history has been written, and Jews continue to die not for who they are but BECAUSE they are. Doesn't that tell you something? A-hole.
14. To correct the facts
Farouk ,   Jerusalem   (08.03.05)
I do not appreciate being called a liar by I suppose educated civilised people. My take on the Church incident did not come Al Jazeera or Palestinian propoganda. It came from the accounts of civilians who were there (non combatants) international NGOs, Embassy breifings and a presentation by IDF on the seige operation which actually the IDF calls the church "blockade". In this lecture I learned from the IDF about physcological tactics of blockade, sleep dperevation by loud noises and shock, food deprevation, and selective periodic killing to raise fear and anxiety in order to create inner conflict and confrontations among those inside. If you still think I am a liar get a copy of the film shoot inside the church during the blockade. It was broadcast all over, I saw it on Israeli TV. Now for the open Jerusalem and freedom of worship. I have not been able to reach the Haram in the old city on Friday for the past 4 years becuase I am under 50 years old. I guess I can wait another 9 years. Nor have the West Bank christians been to their churches if they are young. Now if you think this is a lie check the Israeli news every friday night. Now desecration there is a church in haifa used as a nightclub in the old part of town, Li'l can you help return to be a church. There a monastry building owned by the greek orthodox church in the old city of Jerusalem that was taken by settlers can you return it to its rightful owners. Suhil the mosque was not built in Nazareth and it was the Saudis and Palestinian moslems who stopped it. I agree that was stupid, and yes as Ray said it is extremists on all sides that cause the damage. As for Ray we are belssed by God to the gift of humar and the ability to forget and that is why I believe we can stay sane and overcome.
15. we can't both worship there
NY, NY   (08.03.05)
We can't all worship in jerusalem. it is jewish land. The mosque is on our territory and is preventing us from building beit ha'mikdash ha shlishi (the 3rd temple).
16. Farouk, you still don't get it - and yes, you DISSEMBLE
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.04.05)
dis·sem·ble 1. To disguise or conceal behind a false appearance. See Synonyms at disguise. 2. To make a false show of; feign. Your arguments fall apart and reveal your deceit because you refuse to acknowlege the obvious: the nation of Israel is in a war for her survival against YOUR people, who never stop inciting, teaching their children that Israel as a nation doesn't even exist, that Jews are descendents of pigs, and all the rest of the typical Arab bullshit. Do you honestly believe that if the Palestinian Arabs stoppped their ugly genocidal war against Israeli civilians that men under 50 WOULDN'T be allowed to visit the Haram? Yes, you dissemble. You are a LIAR. The IDF had the right, even an obligation to take out all the Palestinian Arab Muslim terrorists in the Church of the Nativity by force. This is a war by your side against the Jews. You expect to be able to kill, injure, murder, bomb, shoot, and LIE without any consequences? I don't give a damn that you can't go to the mosque of your choice in Jerusalem at this moment in history, Farouk. There is a price to pay for starting a war, and one of them is freedom of movement. You know what needs to be done to rectify the situation, but you won't admit it, and you continue dissembling. Perhaps you should try to get to the Haram and see what happens? Coward and loser.
17. Farouk is unbalanced
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.04.05)
Farouk wrote: "As for Ray we are belssed by God to the gift of humar and the ability to forget and that is why I believe we can stay sane and overcome. " 1. Ray isn't funny. 2. Who's forgetting? 3. Your people perpetuate this ugly terrorist war against the Jews every day in every facet of their lives. The question is, Farouk, what are you going to do to make a positive? From what you post here, the sad answer is nothing. 4. You think your side is behaving in a sane manner? And what, exactly, do you wish to overcome? Zionism? Screw you.
18. NY
Farouk ,   Jerusalem   (08.04.05)
Build it where the wailing wall is. It is a few meters away, unless there is a need to destroy the Aqsa and the Haram. This is a better solution than not having it.

Ray You know as well as I do that we don't allow everybody to enter Jerusalem due to the unfortunate habit of Palestinians to detonate themselves in our public transportation. I agree however with your warning about Christian fanatics and this is why Muslim terrorism is so dangerous. Beheadings in Holland and suicide bombers in London allow feelings to surface that we thought were dead and gone ever since Hitler shot himself in his bunker. Yesterday an Israeli terrorist murdered innocent Arabs and I for one am glad Arab bystanders killed him. Take a look at Israeli newspapers: There is no attempt to understand, he's not called a militant or a freedom fighter. He is called a terrorist and rightly so. Israeli culture does not allow, does not respect and does not tollerate such acts. The reason why we can do that is because we believe our goverment and our army is doing all it can (and sometimes more) to fight terrorism. That's why after decades of war you can count the Jewish terrorists on the fingers of one hand. But Europe is different. There is no clear division between Muslims and Europeans. If sometime in the future the situation escalates where would they erect their wall? Moreover, the European leadership appears to be completely blinded by a misplaced belief that we should respect and tollerate everyone. This is evidently untrue: we cannot tollerate those Baruch Goldsteins because if we do we wil become like them. Look how the Palestinians have become Hamasified. What did they achieve by that except the development of the child-missile system? So if and when it escalates Europeans won't have the feeling that their goverment and their army are doing all they can. Executing innocent bystanders only exposes the sheer panic that the police operates under. That's why in Europe you already have more attacks on mosques and Islamic schools than there ever were in Israel. I believe there is a distinct possibility people will take the law into their own hands in the belief that all the prejudices we thought we have laid to rest were true after all. There is a monster asleep in Europe and it is no less a threat to you than it is a threat to me. Maybe we won't live long enough to witness it (I certainly hope so) but if the hell that we call the 20th century is anything to go by then we should all be lucky if there are still Arabs and Jews left to fight each other when the 22nd century emerges.
21. L'il
Farouk ,   Jerusalem   (08.05.05)
A L'il respect won't hurt. Your choice of words "liar, loser, coward, screw you, a--hole" is superb and says a lot about your charcter. Mature L'il one.
22. Farouk: how to make peace
daniel ,   amsterdam   (08.05.05)
There is a huge field between the Dome of the Rock and the Omar mosque. Invite the Jews to built their Third Temple there. Nothing needs to be destroyed and you demonstrate your essentially peacefull nature. Instead Muslims go around claiming there is no such thing as the temple mount. How can we take you seriously if you say that?
23. daniel got it right, Ray & Farouk didn't
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.05.05)
Daniel wrote: "You know as well as I do that we don't allow everybody to enter Jerusalem due to the unfortunate habit of Palestinians to detonate themselves in our public transportation. " Farouk and Ray are like the idiots in denial about the elephant in the room, as if to say, "Homicide bombers in Jerusalem pouring in from Arab population centers to the East? Don't know WHAT you're talking about. And can you BELIEVE those Israelis, limiting freedom of movement into and arouind Jerusalem???"
24. Daniel, Farouk doesn't care if you take him seriously
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.05.05)
Daniel, you wrote: "Instead Muslims go around claiming there is no such thing as the temple mount. How can we take you seriously if you say that? " Farouk and the rest of the genocidal Palestinian Arab Muslims don't give a damn if anybody takes them seriously. They just want the Jews dead and gone.
25. Daniel
Farouk ,   Jerusalem   (08.05.05)
According to Islamic Trust Laws it cannot be done, more important it is not practical for all parctical reasons. I fully understand the Jewish claim and advocate the construction of the Jewish temple as it is the missing part to make the city completely representative of the all God's relegions. There should be a planning solution that preserves what already exists and creats what is missing (expand the pie to all). Now muslims who claim there is no such thing as the temple are repeating statements that say all of the archealogical digs found no physical evidence of a temple and therefore the temple is not there, maybe somewhere else. However, muslims recognize that there is a temple somewhere as all relegions have places of worship. Now if we drop this arguement which is a defense mechanisem and go back to the Quran where it talks about this location with refernce to all prophets then it is a holy place for jews regardless if there was a buidling or not. Now let us hire the best planners in the world and give this task of creating this holy place within the existing location of the wailing wall and make functional (traffic around the area and the management of masses becomes our biggest challenge)
26. Farouk, you wouldn't know 'respect' if it bit you on the tuc
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.05.05)
"A L'il respect won't hurt. Your choice of words "liar, loser, coward, screw you, a--hole" is superb and says a lot about your charcter." You want respect? Show some respect for the victims of your peoples' crimes. Stop blaming the victims for your inconveniences. Every message you post digs the hole you're in a little deeper. You have lots of work to do before you get any respect from me. You are all those things on your list and more. Shall I add to the list or will you start taking some responsibility for the situation? If not, then STFU.
27. L'il
Farouk ,   Jerusalem   (08.05.05)
Thank you, you are a disgrace to your own people. Thank god I know enough Israelis and Jews that really show what great relegion and people they are. One day we will overcome our problems and then you will have no choice but to STFU.
28. Farouk you STILL DON'T GET IT
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.06.05)
Farouk, you still don't get it. Your pants have been pulled off you here and you can't put them back on. We all see you for the bullshit artist you'd like to be, but really aren't. You come here and whine and complain and point fingers at Israel when we ALL know that the Palestinian Muslim Arab war of annihilation against Israel is the ROOT CAUSE of all the problems today. You refuse to deal with this fact in a positive way, preferring to deflect attention from Palestinian Arab Muslim culpability by whining about freedom of movement, the Palestinian Arab Homicide Bomber Prevention Fence (Thank G-d for that), and the deep sickness of Palestinian Arab society, where all children are taught to HATE Jews and to make a priority to destroy Israel rather than to build up their own lives. Your universities are sick jokes, and so are you. You can't see how you've been unmmasked here and exposed for the fraud you really are? Do you have the guts to fight for Israel's right to live in freedom and security? Because if you don't, you are part of the problem, not the solution. And that makes you an a-hole.
29. Farouk wants me to STFU
Li'l Mamzer ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (08.06.05)
OK Farouk, I will gladly STFU when the following things happen: *When Arabs like you realize they have 22 (and counting) independent and sovereign nation-states in which they can live out their destinies as Arabs AND Muslims, without fear of genocide and destruction, and further realize that their sick obsession with destroying the one and only homeland of the Jewish nation is morally wrong. *When Arabs and Muslims like you, Farouk, begin to act on the realization that perpetutating the incessant war against Israel and the Jews is a sin and a crime, in their personal, public, and professional lives, and in the mosques as well. *When Arabs and Muslims, like you, Farouk, no longer pay transparent lip service to Israel's legitimacy as a nation among nations, but back whatever words you can force yourself to mouth with real and meaningful deeds. In other words, Farouk, say it like you mean it, and mean it like you say it. OR STFU. Get it? I teach my children to respect and love people of any nationality, and religion, anywhere in the world. But I also teach them to recognize when paranoia, hatred, bigotry, and moral blindness must be confronted head-on. And you are the topic of the moment, the poster child of Palestinian Arab intransigence. I can hold you as an example to my kids of a weasel who pretends to be a "moderate" (moderate what? moderately in favor of pushing the Jews into the sea?) but when positions are examined is revealed to have been unable to make clear and unequivocal moral choices. Give me a good reason to STFU, Farouk, and I gladly will. Thjer's lots better things I can do with my time if Palestinian Arab hostility didn't need to be confronted.
30. Had to laugh outloud
Ray Hanania ,   Chicago, USA   (08.06.05)
I had to laugh outloud when I read that "Lil Mamzer" wrote "Iteach my children to respect and love people of any nationality, and religion, anywhere in the world." That has to be the biggest joke I've read so far. Listen, Farouk, don't get in to it with people like that. Fanatics on both sides don't reason. They spew hatred and anger and lies. It's better to focus on justice: two states with a shared Jerusalem and the return of all the West Bank (or equivalent land swaps). That is the moderate view and anyone on either side who opposes it is basically declaring themselves extremists and racists. Farouk, the majority of Israelis are not like this person. They are kind and fair and they want justice but need to be reassured that our people do seek to live in peace in a twostate solution. That's our responsibility to show them we do, despite the provocations of a few. No question if the tables were reversed, you would see suicide bombings foming from them, too. But I am surprised more Israelis don't speak out against the sad rhetoric that dominates not just the comments on this page but many comments made publicly, especially those in defense of the settlers. Keep your eye on the prize. Don't be distracted. Two states and peace are an attainable goal and the louder the extremists scream (and complain about humor :) ) ... the more we know that goal is being closer to reality. Ray Hanania
