Tragically there is a small segment of antiJewish Jews who despise their religious Jewish counterparts. There is no reasoning with these self haters. you are 100% right. And this is happening here in the US as well. The so-called Jewish managers of my apt complex believe that mezuzot and kipot should be outlawed and at least 60% of the Jews who live here have no idea about what's happening in Israel. Frustrating? Yes. A reminder of the blissful ignorance and pathetic self-hatred of the days leading up to the Shoah? You bet. All we can do is pray for these people.
