1. TREASON to give Jewish land to implacable, barbaric enemies
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.07.05)
Save Israel from the planned second holocaust.
2. Good for you Bibi!
cal ,   Brooklyn,Ny   (08.07.05)
if this was an Arab who didnt like policy he would put on a bomb belt. This is the correct way to protest.
3. about time too
Yisraeli   (08.07.05)
lets hope this move isnt too late to bring down this perfidious treacherous excuse of the most loathsome government Israel has ever known.
4. Bibi
Pircha Lottner ,   Petach Tikva   (08.07.05)
FInally a man among the government of Liliputnions. Signed in the name of our enlarged family
5. another one down ,a few more to go
aa ,   aa   (08.07.05)
this government has ruined this country very badly and indeed they should all resign imediattly before its too late . iam not against the disingagment and it should go on as planed , and immediatly they should all quit there seats .
6. kol ha'kovod
David ,   Petach Tivka   (08.07.05)
well done Bibi - it won't help, but kol ha'kavod - appeasement is NOT the way to go
7. Sharon is strong enough!
Perpetual Dream ,   Jerusalem   (08.07.05)
I believe Sharon is strong enough, he won't be affected by this silly move.... the disengagement plan won't be affected.... I wonder what he would politically benefit 4rm this!
8. Good on you...
Yosef ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.07.05)
Bibi voiced his opposition from very early on, and has been comitted to the anti-disengagement plan. His resgination should send a clear message to Sharon that bulldozing through opposition is not democratic, and people will not stand by silently. The government has lost a strong player, and Bibi has gained orange respect for sticking with his morals.
9. Too little to late!!!!!
Michelle ,   Israel   (08.07.05)
10. Hu Gadol!
Gary ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.07.05)
Is this the start of the Bibi revolution? Don't throw away your orange just yet! Maybe we can start a wave!
11. BIBI GOOD BYE MR IRRELEVANT
Daniel Zylbersztajn ,   London   (08.07.05)
Netanyahu is wrong. The withdrawal gives us moral capital. Also this is a cheap departure. To do so know at this moment clearly can only be undersood as a political move - not to sincerely stop the disengagement. We don't always have to get something to do what is right!
12. Bibi, you did the right thing!!!!
Ann C. ,   USA   (08.07.05)
Arik is nothing more than a glorified thug. Wise of you to abandon his sinking, cess-pool of a ship named corruption. Hopefully this RETREAT PLAN/REWARD (for the terrorists) PLAN can be trashed as well.
13. About time he got a set of balls
Likudnik ,   Israel   (08.07.05)
I voted Sharon and got Peres. I voted Sharon because the Likud opposed ethnically cleansing Jews, and got Labor, who lost big but still ended up with their racist policy trying to be implemented. It's about time that Bibi stood up for what we Likudniks voted for in the first place. I only hope it's not too late.
14. Sore Loser
EM ,   Israel   (08.07.05)
What a great lesson in democracy, Bibi! If the majority doesn't agree with you ...quit. So not only are you a demagogue, we can call you "sore loser" as well.
15. THE TRUTH ABOUT LINDA RIVERA!
Ponderer ,   Israel   (08.07.05)
I've been reading YnetNews articles and talkback for quite a while now. Facing the often melodramatic/demagogic nature of Linda's talkbacks, I feel that one has to wonder who or what stand behind them. My personal belief is that behind these posts lies a PR agency which was hired by some right-wing political organization. Any brighter ideas?
16. sneaky son of a b
tali ,   TA, Israel   (08.07.05)
bibi has been, and always will be in it for himself. Anyone who thinks otherwise is sadly mistaken.
17. Well done Bibi
David ,   Karmiel, ISRAEL   (08.07.05)
You have proved once more that your ego is more important than the Country. Those who praise your resignation as a matter of "conscience" (since when do politicians have a conscience?) have forgotten that you pulled out of Hebron, one of the 4 Holy towns in Israel, and left 400 zealots to face 160,000 murderers. You signed the Wye Agreement. So cut the crap Mr. Netanyahu and be honest. This holier than thou attitude does not fool anyone. Your real aim is to be become prime minister and oust Sharon. You ruined the country once and we remember that. You brought the poor, the needy, the handicapped and the aged to levels of humiliation never seen here before. The medical system is on its knees. People are dying of cancer because there is no money for drugs. Mr Netanyahu, only time will tell if your doubts about the pullout from Gaza were correct or not but today in Israel we are seeing the result of the economic terror that you have brought upon the sick and the old, the deaf and the blind and those who cannot fend for themselves! I say good ridence and to your admirers in America, I challenge them to come to Israel and try to live on $300 a month! Had you resigned when MK Dr. Landau did, then their might have been honour in your decision. Today, you have proved that you are are the greatest egoist ever!
18. moer time for him to focus on his main task...
s of london ,   london   (08.07.05)
yup! now he can devote all of his time to working out new ways of ruining the live's of Israel's poor for his next (in the bag...) term as PM. Unless of course Likud dissolves and a temporary party - the Israel party - made up of pragmatists can be formed. Anything but let that man run Israel. His mates will get richer and the majority of Israelis will suffer.
19. OPPORTUNIST BIBI
Samuel Jacksonville ,   US   (08.07.05)
Bibi's resign is basically a political maneuver, it's an output of inner conflict with Sharon himself. He wants to pull out early before he faces a severe loss as the disengagement is implemented. Bibi only cares about his political interests, it's not a matter of principle.
20. The Truth about # 15, lol
Ann C. ,   USA   (08.07.05)
Hey #15, bored with your life? OR are you a "plant" by some left wing political org? LOL, here's a good idea for ya......why don't you stick to the TOPIC, and not worry about the "private lives" of the posters here. ;-)
21. To #20
Ponderer ,   Israel   (08.07.05)
No, I'm not posting in behalf of any organization. I'm a genuine human being (or so I've been led to believe..). The talkbacks by Linda Rivera just seem too extensive, extreme and consistent to be a genuine talkback. If she isn't paid by some PR agency, she should be! And yes, I'm bored with my life, and would appreciate any constructive input :)
22. To #20 :-)
Ann C. ,   USA   (08.07.05)
LOL, thanks for the excellent reply! I have to admit I wondered about the Linda R. posts at first too, but awhile back someone was posting here using other posters names, and she replied with regular gab. So who knows? But, to be honest, if what she (or anyone else) posts here is the truth I really don't care if they represent any kind of org or not. I really enjoy these talkbacks. Especially when some of the answers are clever or amusing. I really enjoyed yours, and I thank you! As for the boredom, well, from the articles in the Israeli news lately it looks at if you're going to have a lot of "excitement" on your hands soon. I just hope with all of my heart that it is GOOD excitement!!!! :-)
23. Oops, I meant #21 in my previous post, ugh.
Ann C. ,   USA   (08.07.05)
24. To Ann
Ponderer ,   Israel   (08.07.05)
The truth is too great to be rightly covered in a talkback. Talkbackers (talker-backs?) are often too eager to be part of the interaction, and put in any flimsy opinion they've overheard. Around here (YnetNews), there's no need to be responsible for your words - no need to construct an argument, no need to be honest, and no need to respond to others. Add to that PR firms, (who, at least in Israel, are not shy to use talkbacks), and you've got... well, you've got something to justify my cynicism. It is rare to get genuine replies, so thank you too. As for my boredom, alas, I fail to get to get too excited by political events. Too intangible for me, even though I live inside 'the mid-east scene'.
25. BIBI
LAYLA ,   KHAN YUNIS   (08.08.05)
TO US PALASTINIAN NOTHING TO DO IF YOU STAY IF YOU GO .BIBI HABIBI IF YOU HAVE NO JOB LIKE ME .DO NOT BE SAD .WELCOM TO MY HOUSE TO DRINK A CUP OF CUFFE AND I WILL SEE OR GUSSE YOUR FORTION OR LUKE OR FUTUR E.YOU WILL PAY NOTHING .MY WORK IS FOR GOD TO LET ME IN PARADISE SURLY YOU WILL NOT SEE IT NOR THE FAT MAN WILL
26. To Ann and ponderer
Eli Vardi ,   Israel   (08.08.05)
Apparently Linda R is a fundamentalist Christian cutting and pasting from a couple of extreme right wing sites. A few weeks ago someone checked her out. She really believes in what she pastes. Occasionally she responds, but usually it's just cut and paste. I guess there's nothing on the Shopping Channel. Anyway, nice to read some intelligent and sane comments from you guys, instead of the usual hatefilled @#$%^& !
27. Netan-ya-hu
Human Being ,   Gaza   (08.08.05)
LAYLA... Idid not det your point . can you explain? All what Iknow is that Netan-ya-hu is a loser.
