How come there aren't more articles on veal, goose and lobsters?

Still Hungry   (08.24.05)
We ate there and found the portions to be small, the atmosphere pretentious, and the food acceptable, not exceptional. Not worth the money the meal cost.

My wife and I were at a wedding in Jerusalem. Our large family had breakfast at the 1868 Restaurant and we lost our camera. Our insurance company asked that we obtain a letter from the rrestaurant stating that we reported the loss to them. Both Jonathan the manager and Menachem Katz the owner were unhelful, unfriendly and refused, saying it was too much trouble. Customer service? Forget it! These people go out of their way to try and give Israel a bad name!
7. Agree with 6 - Appalling Service!

The name 1868 must refer to the year when restaurants were able to get away with such appalling customer service. I don't care if the place is nice looking, or if the food is good, first and foremost I want to be treated as a valued customer, not to mention a human being. I am ashamed that these people represent Israel in this prime location. Avoid!
