Congratulations to the congregation in Juneau! How nice that churches gave them space to meet. I wonder, here in Eretz Yisrael, would a synagogue have done the same for a church group? All the same, MAZAL TOV!!!!

My father was one of many American soldiers of Russian Jewish heritage stationed in Alaska and the Aleutian islands during WWII. The crossing of the Bering straits into Siberia never happened but they had a lot of time to play poker.
