1. YESHA - Who Needed Them? Not the "settlers"
Adina Kutnicki ,   Nj,US   (08.22.05)
Of course the YESHA leaders "cooperated". They "cooperated" all along. Why do you think that when over 50,000 ! were amassed in Ofakin and Kfar Maimon that they were relegated behind barbed ! wires? YESHA was always part of the bureaucratic forum. Instead of encouraging their people to break through the checkpoints - which they could have - they "negotiated" with the police & IDF. How absurd is that? Did they think the security forces would "allow" them to enter the areas? Of course not. They put on a big show for the activists, and tragically they bought it. Too bad more people didn't get behind Feiglin, Eldad and Nadia Matar. The "leaders" in the doomed communities have sold them down the river. The Rabbis too were too intimidated of the so called "Authorities". Never mind that these "Authorities" are more concerned with what Abbas wants than what is good for Israel. These gov't miscreants kept quiet about the opening salvo from Al- Quadea several weeks ago. Mofaz and Sharon even tried to cover up the hit on Eilat. They know full well that Eilat was the target. This was AlQuadea's present to a Judenrein Gaza. Pathetic "Jewish leadership". More like Kapos to me than anything else.

You make my day for me, when I see the spectacle of "dog eat dog". Thank you.
3. The "soldiers" who facilitated the expulsion should feel as
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA   (08.22.05)
if their hearts are being torn apart for years and years and years. They all could have had courage and refused, but sadly they stole Jewish land from Jews. The "disengagement" was a failure before it started and that has not changed.
4. yesha fails
jay ,   yerushalayim   (08.22.05)
adina, good point, where were all of the thousands of hesder boys and high school girls and there families to just sit in the street even 2 miles from katif to stop the buses from transporting the jews out. It was all a big show week leadership, easy to go to rabin sq. to socialize , I see it did alot.
5. #3 The IDF and Police should feel proud
Shlomo ,   Jerusalem   (08.22.05)
They did a difficult job, an unpleasant and heartbreaking job, with patience and amazing understanding and sympathy. I can't think of another country where this sort of thing could have been carried out so well. The majority of settlers understood the sacrifice that they had to make for the security of Israel and to save Jewish lives. The filthy mouthed fanatics who insulted our police, defamed the Holocaust and used their children as emotional tools should rot in Hell as far as I'm concerned. They showed that their " Love of Israel" was really just an overwhelming feeling of supriority on the rest if Israel, where they thought that they were above the laws of the land. This is Hallel HaShem and has more to do with trying to form a radical Jewish State than defending in Israel. Now we have to face the YeSha Yobs in the West Bank. The setlements there are almost empty of the residents , leaving the YeSha Yobs to show their radical yeshiva education. I hope that they will respect their Rabbi's who are also there and do not cross any red lines. That's what the world press is waiting for. Jews fighting Jews....

Howard ,   Pacific Coast, USA   (08.22.05)
I completely agree with you, Shlomo. Yonni, the Yesha folks have tried to appropriate G-d, but He is not theirs, so why should He make miracles to honor their rebellion against Israel? Why should He try to destroy law and order or the IDF, without which Israel would be easy prey for its enemies? These same settlers also tried to appropriate the symbols of the Shoah, Israeli patriotism and the orange color of the recent Ukrainian people's revolution. None of these symbols belong to them, though. G-d, clearly blesses Israel, which thrives in a region of hostile regimes. He cares far more about our treatment of each other than about our rigidly holding onto every grain of sand. The Yesha folks still don't get this. Israel does not and cannot control all of Biblical Eretz Yisrael; that would require a war of conquest to take over Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. Such a war would not only be evil, but suicidal as well. So the settlers' religious justifications are flawed from the start. It is impossible to annex Gaza and the WB and swear in millions of new Palestinian citizens. Yet the situation cannot continue as it is now. So borders need to be drawn. Adina, Bunnie, welcome to the real world, in which the Israeli government must function. Our forefather Abraham, was willing to coexist in peace with his neighbors. We need to be willing to do so, when those neighbors demonstrate willingness to do the same. We must stand firm around the core institutions of Judaism and of the State of Israel, but we must be flexible and creative regarding the territories. Rigid nations don't survive the test of time.

You asked'what do you call destroying palestinians homes ' answer: progress. Just kidding. But, that is something you would say regarding anything Jewish, eh? Seriously, your selective memory is always forgetting why pal homes were destroyed in the first place.Uh something to do with child killing pal homicide bombers walking into public places with innocent Jews and blowing themselves up.Or smuggling bombs into Israel proper to kill yet again.Yeah that's it and actually it ain't funny.

Strange, your memory can't go back to the times in 48 and after when they destroyed Palestinian villages for no reason except to rob their land and build the Jewish state. There were no suicide bombers at that time only villagers.
20. 10-war criminal sharon

21. War on Zionism
Madzionist   (08.22.05)
Sharon's government effectively has declared war on Religious Zionism, or for that matter, Zionism altogether. Today in Israel there are two Zionists: religious and nationalist. The two often seemingly blend together into one, though they do have important differences. The anti-Zionist Left, led by neo-leftist Arik Sharon, have declared war on Zionism. The Jews who have chosen to settle in the lands of Gaza, Judea and Samaria are the unquestioned leaders of today's Zionist movement, long since abandoned by the virtually extinct movement of socialist Zionism. Today's great threat is that if Religious Zionism is crushed by the anti-Zionist secular Left, than we are left with an Israel that is completely willing to sacrifice itself in the pursuit of international approval and moslem appeasement. A recipe for extinction. If Israel is to survive into the next century it will be on the backs of Religious Zionism. The secular anti-Zionists must be defeated at all costs. -MZ
22. Questions for MadZionsit
Patriot   (08.23.05)
Dear MadZionist, there are some questions that the relgious Zionists really should answer, before they begin to talk about how they are 'the only hope for Israel.' Like: How can we keep ALL of the land and NOT become a minority in our own land? The only way to do that is to ethnically cleanse them - and you know full well that that's impossible. So basically, the religious Zionists have no answer to this question, just rhetoric. And democracy means nothing to them, since they don't care about being the majority, and the only way we can remain Jewish AND democratic is by being a majority of Jews. There are no answers to these dilemmas except to PULL BACK from Gaza and the West Bank. That's the only way we can ever be a Jewish and democractic state. It's time for people like you, who call yourself Zionist, to realize this reality. Zionism means you believe in Jewish self determination in Israel. You can't determine your own fate when you're the minority. No need to bother answering, just think about it.
23. Poor o$$mamma and $amy
cliff from montreal ,   canada   (08.23.05)
hey that's funny stuff you quote there buddy.let's start with sam. There were very few arab villagers back in 48.It's a documented fact that the arabs followed the Jews, who made the barren dry desert land into the paradise it has become. They reaped the benefits of having decent food, water and income.Things your people never had before the Jews came back. to oSSmamma The places and so called massacres you quote have no basis in facts.Where are the links that proves your propaganda? I bet ya there is a good chance that your information is tainted and from unreliable sources. In plain English, pal propaganda sites controlled by the arab media machine.Regarding the only documented event,Dir Yassin: 250 palestinian killed..I say 'Not true, only 107 were killed, and witnesses say that even that amount was too high. Not to mention that this event was condemned by all Jews everywhere and hasn't reoccurred.Ha, I'd like to see the arab media machine show one ounce of compassion to Jews, BUT that won't happen. It does show that your muslim controlled media machine makes a mountain out of a molehill and then lie and distort the truth to call it 'fact'.We see through your lies. It's time for you to.
24. US EU UN REGARD JEWS AS AN ENTITY TO BE CLEANSED FROM LAND
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.23.05)
The Jew hate is revolting. WHY DO THE IDF COOPERATE IN THE JEW HATE? PEACEFUL, law-abiding Jews forced off their land because they are Jews and their religion is Judaism. Stealing Jewish land and assets to gift to Muslims. A Jew-hating world doesn't believe in human rights for Jews.
25. Response To Patriot
Madzionist   (08.23.05)
"How can we keep ALL of the land and NOT become a minority in our own land? The only way to do that is to ethnically cleanse them - and you know full well that that's impossible?" Excellent question. The premise of your question is that Jews must only be in control of the land in which they are the majority population. Well, using that rationale, in Gush Katif Jews were vitually 100% of the population, and yet were still expelled by force! Why? Well, the Arabs basic reason for wanting to kick out the Jews is that they claim this is THEIR land. THEY claim it as their own, and any Jewish presence is considered trespassing. I know in Israel there are towns which are mostly arab alongside towns which are mostly Jewish. This has been accepted by the Jewish State as a co-habitation without discrimination. Yet, Jews still must be expelled from Gush Katif? By what logic? None, aside from the fact that they have the nerve to be Jewish. If we begin expelling Jews for being Jewish we are also saying that moslems need to be expelled for being islamic. In your response you claim it is not possible to expel the moslems. By whose measure? Certainly, if Jews are to be expelled from communities which are within the boundaries of Eretz Israel - as well as the borders won by Israel in battle - than surely Arabs need to be reciprically expelled at a minimum. Religious Zionists understand that in the case of a single nation at war over the right to govern, we will either be defeated and concede it to the Arabs, or else we will be victorious and expel the moslems to make the Jewish State whole - as well as wholly Jewish. I suggest you read Benny Elon's Plan for Peace. You will learn a lot about why it is justice for all parties to expel the moslems from Eretz Yisroel and back to their native, moslem land. There really is no other way. -MZ
