1. The Jews Will Beat The Corrupt - Though Demographics
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.22.05)
According to the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, whereas in 1990, 71.1% of Israel's Jewish first-graders were in non-religious schools; and only 28.9% were in religious schools, by 2003-2004, the number in secular schools had dropped to 56.8%, with religious children making up 43.2% of Israel's Jewish first-graders. What this means is that in just 12 years, when these first-graders are able to vote, the demographic makeup of Israel's voters will already be shifting significantly. The demographic issue always raised is the Arab one. The one that I raise here should be the issue that we look to. In 12 short years, the left-wing "secular elite" might possibly already have their first religious Prime Minister- because Israel's past and its future are inseparable. We are returning to our land, and we will be returning to ourselves and our G-d; sooner than you all realize. This is our "Manifest Destiny", and NO setbacks along the way will prevent it.
2. dog eat dog
Michael ,   Haifa   (08.22.05)
While it gives me a sense of vicarious pleasure watching all these disgusting people tearing each other apart, it is no solution to merely see them politically destroyed. Shinui and the Ma'arach are not alternatives. They are gutless opportunists. Until the electorate begins to think about our situation rather than emotionally respond to it, we are in a big mess.
3. Yishai Kohen right on the mark
Yisraeli   (08.22.05)
Furthermore; CONSIDER THIS: After witnessing the outrage of the expulsion of Jews from they're own homes and from they're own land. After witnessing our beloved Israeli Defense Forces morph into the Israeli Disengagement Force, After witnessing children as young as 12, 14 and 15 being sent to prisons and held for over 40 days, After witnessing the wanton violence perpetrated by some of the police force on it's own citizens, After witnessing the arrest and incarceration of Rabbis or anyone who may look like an observant Jew, After witnessing the manipulation of common law pertaining to Human Rights by the Supreme Court, After witnessing the courts attempt at sending those they don't like to 'Re-education Camp', After witnessing Israel's legislative body the Knesset betray its own citizens, After witnessing the volume of corruption and internal appointments by said legislators, I ASK YOU THIS - How many Israeli citizens will vote for the leftie extremists Meretz in the next election? How many Israeli citizens will vote for the traitorous Labour Party in the next election? How many Israeli citizens will vote for the anti Jew party Shinui in the next election? How many Israeli citizens will vote for Likud if the Godfather of corruption Ariel Sharon is at the helm in the next elections? How many Israeli citizens will vote for Likud if the spineless self serving Bibi Natanyahu is at the helm for the next elections? I SAY TO YOU VERY FEW - VERY VERY FEW! The seeds of a peoples revolution in Israel has been sown in Gush Katif. And should Gush Katif fall take heart for this revolution has only just begun and cannot be buried with Gush Katif. Gush Katif will serve as the catalyst for a major change in Israel. To become the Israel she was always meant to be. Take heed with this evil deed being carried out in Gush Katif - the old age Bolsheviks, the Corruptors, the traitors, the anti Jews and above all the Leftists will be finally laid to rest...............in Gush Katif. They don't know it yet, but when the next election comes around the peoples only power left to them in the ballot box's will exact their revenge on all these perfidious evil elements who have so long controlled Israel that is until that infamous black day of........Gush Katif. All those that have faith in the G-d of Israel and the Land of Eretz Yisrael prepare for the your time is coming to rule the land. Prepare the Rightist parties. Join forces don't splinter yourselves. As far as I am concerned the only Likud I can possibly support is if Moshe Feiglin is voted in as its next leader. Otherwise any rightist party and I am sorry to say that Mafdal and United Torah Judaism both no longer qualify as a rightist party and must be shunned at the next elections. They both have a hand in bringing about this treacherous deed to Am Yisrael. And as for Shas who can forget their votes in supporting the treacherous Oslo process. Chazak U'Baruch this is not the end but only the beginning as Manhigut Yehudit's motto "To perfect the world in the kingdom of the Almighty" http://www.jewishisrael.org/
4. Thanks Yisraeli, you give me hope
Shlomo ,   Jerusalem   (08.22.05)
If I had any fears that the disgusting behaviour of a small number of religious fanatics could influence public opinion, you have put my mind at rest. Any logical, religious or secular Israeli reading your ravings would understand just what radical fanatics like you are trying to do. You can brainwash your yeshiva students and drag them back into the 18th century, but you under estimate their intelligence. In the same way that there were very few refuseniks amongst the religious soldiers, you assume that you can control " your" people and manipulate them. There will never be a Messianic Fundamentalist Israel that you have wet dreams about. Israel will become a pluralistic Jewish State with equality for all its citezens, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Ashkenazi,Sefardi, black, white and striped. In the end your type will only harm the Israeli State
5. Israeli decleration of independance
Tali ,   Jerusalem   (08.22.05)
As stated in the israel declaration of independance: "THE STATE OF ISRAEL will be open to the immigration of Jews from all countries of their dispersion; will promote the development of the country for the benefit of all its inhabitants; will be based on the precepts of liberty, justice and peace taught by the Hebrew Prophets; will uphold the full social and political equality of all its citizens, without distinction of race, creed or sex; will guarantee full freedom of conscience, worship, education and culture; will safeguard the sanctity and inviolability of the shrines and Holy Places of all religions; and will dedicate itself to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations".
6. Shlomo is on the losing side of Yishai's demographic stats
Dani ,   Tel Aviv   (08.22.05)
And the nation of Israel is on the winning side.
7. Israel's Constitution
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.22.05)
Is the Torah, which supercedes ANY and ALL manmade documents, and if there is a conflict, will ALWAYS take precedence. This is why we are here today. This is why those who forget this are self-destructing through assimilation. And FYI- The Torah is the basis for "the precepts of liberty, justice and peace taught by the Hebrew Prophets".
8. Sharon will not follow the Road map
Sal Azam ,   Chicago, USA   (08.22.05)
Bush, EU, and Russia wont spare him. He wont follow the Road map. If he does he will make the settlers up their anti and introduce somekind of a fake messiah who will declare war and will be killed along with his supporters. Sharon should come to his senses and do what he signed at Aqaba Jordan. Sharon does not heed without decisive pressure and Bush,EU and Russia can easily do the job. Sharon knows this.
9. Long Live KING Sharon
dany ,   telaviv   (08.22.05)
Amin...long live KING Sharon
10. YeShA Yishai
Howard ,   Pacific Coast, USA   (08.22.05)
YeShA Yishai: it appears that you have at least heard the point about Palestinian demographics. So let's see. Suppose Israel annexes Gaza and the West Bank and adds millions of new Arab citizens. What happens? Israel gets turned into Palestine and Marwan Barghouti gets elected PM of the resulting country. Or do you seriously believe you can expel millions of Palestinians to neighboring countries without triggering a massive war and the utter alienation of every ally and trading partner that Israel has? So tell me. What the HECK are you guys thinking? As for the religious/secular demographics within Israel, the fact that people attend religious schools does not mean that they turn off their minds or that they automatically agree with each other or with you. It also does not mean that they depart from the real world or lose their grasp of mathematics, politics or foreign policy. G-d forbid. Nor will demographic changes in Israel cause Israel to depart from the middle east. Israel will need flexibility of action as well as strength in order to survive. The rigidity of your policies promises stagnation and then explosion, because it's far too late to go back to the 1960s, 70s or 80s. Thinking militarily, there have been many, many campaigns in history in which an army was flexible on offense but too rigid on defense. Trying to keep all of that army's gains frequently results in the eventual destruction of that army. In contrast, flexible defense is often extremely successful. The situation now is longer, slower and lower-intensity than a military campaign, but has many of the same characteristics in the grand-strategic sphere. At a more personal level, I believe that the Jewish religion is important and must be supported and that Israel must be a democratic Jewish state; but I would be appalled if the religious parties dominated the government. Theocracies and pseudo-theocracies are, regardless of the way they start out, among the most anti-democratic, totalitarian, abusive, self-righteous, arrogant, inflexible, lying, corrupt regimes, and the behavior of YeSha during this crisis leaves me no doubt that a YeSha-oriented regime would rapidly destroy Israel. Fear your own success most of all.
11. dany # 9 you are pathetic and ridiculious
(08.22.05)
U don' t need a king but a dictator like Sharon . The first anti-semite prime minister in Israel (with the former Peres)
12. Michael from Haifa is a moron
(08.22.05)
Don' t compare the great and honest Uzi Landau with the corrupt Sharon. U are a bolshevik !
13. Pacific Coast Howard
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.22.05)
1. That demographic issue of yours is a red herring: http://www.pademographics.com/ And additionally, their birthrate is dropping very rapidly. Years of self-destructive war is causing it. 2. Most of the Arabs in Judea and Samaria are JORDANIAN citizens anyway. 3. They CERTAINLY won't be rewarded for trying to murder Jews. 4. This shift in JEWISH demographics (the same is happening in the US too; with the non-religious assimilating themselves out of existence and the religious having many kids) will manifest itself in a JEWISH state- as we MUST be. 5. We are not a religion. We are a NATION. 6. Our NATION is changing- and will get rid of the anti-democratic, totalitarian, abusive, self-righteous, arrogant, inflexible, lying, corrupt existing regime, replacing it with a moral Jewish one. You had best get used to it.
14. Yossi Sarid hates the Zionists
Paulo   (08.22.05)
Yossi come to live with ur friends in the Fatah's camps in Lebanon
15. U are right Bibi !
Yair   (08.22.05)
Unfortunately we know..everybody knows that the vacuum let by Tsahal will become a heaven for all the terror groups that will feel free to train, product explosives and launch attacks...Sharon must be prosecuted for that
16. BOTH ARE BOUGHT AND PAID FOR MANHIGUT YEHUDIT
(08.22.05)
17. If Bibi was that bothered...
Jennifer ,   Israel   (08.22.05)
or worried about the future of Israel then why did he leave it until the last minute to resign...??? He is simply trying to make his way back to the prime minister's office. I hope that people won't be fooled by his sly ways...
18. Interupting #10 Howard and #13 Yishi
Alex ,   Boston   (08.22.05)
First of all, Howard, very well put. The worst possible thing for Israel is our own right wing, I've been sayin it for years. The threat of Hamas and Arab radicals is so nominal to the damage that the fanatical right poses from the inside. Not death toll. Foreign relation fatalities. Trading partners are kind of important and so is the opinion of the entire Western world. Now Yishi, lets examine your own hipocrisy here, Howard said basically that extreme religeon and government can't function and ultimately lead to anti-democratic, totalitarian etc etc etc. Your response to this was: "We are not a religion. We are a NATION" and "Our NATION is changing and will get rid of the anti-democratic, totalitarian etc etc corrupt existing regime, replacing it with a moral Jewish one". Now, our population in Israel is certainly not all Jewish, so replacing the current leadership with one more "Jewish" as you say doesn't exactly fall into the "democratic" ideas that you speak so highly of. As far as ousting this totalitarian regime...who gets to decide on that? The people do in democratic countries and that's just what happened in Israel, and with the disengagement that you still don't think happened, and it will continue to happen if we want any kind of relationship with any country, including the US. For the sake of Israel's future, I fear you and your fanatical followers more than any other entity on the planet. We will overcome you again and again, just as we did in Gaza Yish. You had best get used to it.
19. Bibi creates support base
Eyal ,   Tlv.il   (08.22.05)
But he won't get my vote.
20. Knesset
Ariel ,   Israel   (08.22.05)
Shalom, What is the game? They say bad thinks to each other. But they don't go home. Because they like to hold their salary. But if they go home, for who can I vote and is not CORRUPT! That is our big problem. Ariel
21. #12- the nameless fascist
Michael ,   Haifa   (08.22.05)
in the political circus of Israel's fascist political parties, Uzi Landau is the clown while Sharon is the trainer of paper tiger settlers.
22. They're Worried About Insults At A Time Like This?
Adina Kutnicki ,   NJ,US   (08.22.05)
Oh poppycock! Who cares about delicate "sensibilities" at a time of such destruction? The "leaders" who are apologizing for such harsh words against Sharon should be grateful they are just words. If anything, I am outraged by those still in the gov't who can walk in the streets without all consuming guilt strangling them into having nervous breakdowns.
23. Alex In Far-Away Boston
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.22.05)
You evidently have difficulty understanding. In the last elections, the Likud won TWICE as many seats as Labor. The Likud won those seats by OPPOSING ethnically cleansing Jews, in contrast to Labor, who SUPPORTED ethnically cleansing Jews. The will of the nation has been subverted. And this is just ONE- albeit VERY serious, case of this happening. The left and anti-religious have been using their sacred cow, "democracy", in anything BUT a democratic manner. Their days of political manipulations are numbered. We, the people, will not allow them to continue down this road. We, the people, will outnumber them and defeat them at the polls. We, the people, will take back OUR country- the state of Israel, the state of the nation of Israel. We will take it back from the anti-democratic MINORITY groups who rule. I don't fear you and your fanatical followers. You are has-beens making a last stab- but one that will not bear fruit. WE are the future. We will overcome you. We always have throughout history. It's just a matter of time. You had best get used to it.
24. Yish Yish Yish
Alex ,   Boston   (08.22.05)
Since you have failed to do anything in your response but bark about how you will overcome, the left will crumble, democracy is a 'sacred cow', and thrown propoganda out like 'ethnic cleansing of Jews' (which is ludicrous and was not the case).....My only response can be this. Even back when we posted on Maariv, all you ever talked about was how crazy I was, how much of a self-hating Jew I was, and that I was crazy for even thinking the disengagement was possible. Now here we are, all the premonitions you had then, all your justification for them, down the tubes. You no longer have any credit at this forum; everything you've ever preached about and tried to justify has blown up in your face. I will be back in Tel Aviv, my home, before long, and trust me, I and people like myself are not the minority Yish. You are living in a fantasy world. Have you even admitted to yourself that disengagement happened or are you still in denial? We're going to keep winning until we acheive a peaceful Israel. You had best get used to it.
25. Alex Alex Alex
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.22.05)
Unlike you, I don't bark. I do. I live in Israel and have LOTS of kids- just like all of my neighbors and friends. The demographics are clear. Your ilk is on the way down- and out. You people want to disengage. We will RE-ENGAGE. And since we are here and growing, and you are there and not growing, we shall overcome. Including in Tel Aviv- which isn't even CLOSE to Jerusalem in population, by the way. Your day is done. This is just your grand finale. You had best get used to it.
26. alex's israel not fit for jews
Yitzchak ,   Milwaukee, WI   (08.22.05)
If Alex's group wins, then a Jewish israel is lost. What is the point of a Jewish state that does not value Judaism? Ethnicity only lasts a generation or two. Without Judaism, a Jewish israel will die in two generations with or without Gaza or Hamas. Your solution is to trade Judaism for peace; but the result is to trade a Jewish Israel for just another place to live. Without Judaism what is the point of Israel itself? Without Judaism Jews may just as well live in Ghana or France or Boston. Without Judaism, Jews have absolutely no basis or justification for even being in Israel and their removal becomes justified.
27. EMPOWERING AL-QAIDA IN GAZA. AL-QAIDA NUKES ALREADY IN U.S.
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.22.05)
The U.S. EU UN, and Israeli leaders are creating an Hamas - Hezbollah - Al-Qaida global terror state. We will all pay the price no matter where we live. worldnetdaily.com July 11 2005 ‘Al-Qaida nukes already in U.S.’ ‘Terrorists, bombs smuggled across Mexico border by MS-13 gangsters’ “According to captured al-Qaida leaders and documents, the plan is called the “American Hiroshima” and involves the multiple detonation of nuclear weapons already smuggled into the U.S over the Mexican border. Al-Qaida has obtained at least 40 nuclear weapons from the former Soviet Union - including suitcase nukes, nuclear mines, artillery shells and even some missile warheads. The plans for the devastating nuclear attack on the U.S. have been under development for more than a decade. It is designed as a final deadly blow of defeat to the U.S…thousands of al-Qaida sleeper agents have now been forward deployed into the U.S. to carry out their individual roles in the coming “American Hiroshima” plan. The future plan, suggests the attacks will take place simultaneously in major cities throughout the country - including New York, Boston, Washington, Las Vegas, Miami, Chicago and Los Angeles…” G8 leaders have promised nine billion dollars to the Palestinian Authority over the next three years. TAX DOLLARS THAT SHOULD GO FOR THE IMMEDIATE BUILDING OF BOMB SHELTERS! The following is an excerpt from sermon by Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris, May 13 2005 on Palestinian Authority TV (transcribed by Memri TV monitor): We have ruled the world before, and by Allah, the day will come when we will rule the entire world again. The day will come when we will rule America. The day will come when we will rule Britain and the entire world - except for the Jews. The Jews will not enjoy a life of tranquility under our rule...The day will come when everything will be relieved of the Jews. The stones and trees will want the Muslims to finish off every Jew." Israelinsider.com July 8 2005 ‘From London to Gaza’ by David Bedein: “In recent weeks, American, British and Israeli intelligence sources have revealed that al-Qaida units now operate in the southern section of Gaza, and are positioned to take over the area that Israeli Defense Forces would vacate, if the proposed retreat plan is indeed carried out by the Israel government…” Gaza is to be transformed into Hamastan - the largest terror base in the Middle East with its own airport and seaport - and al-Qaida - a major threat to the entire world. worldnetdaily.com, July 18 2005 ‘Al-Qaida’s U.S. nuclear targets’ “The series of attacks is designed to kill 4 million, destroy the economy and fundamentally alter the course of history. New York and Washington top the preferred target list for al-Qaida leadership. The captured terrorists and documents also suggest smaller attacks may take place on American soil before the nuclear incidents. They may include some involving automatic weapons at schools and shopping malls. Another requirement dictated from the top at al-Qaida is that the attacks take place in daylight, so that the whole word will be able to see the images of a mushroom cloud over an American city…”
28. So let's pretend then....
Alex ,   Boston   (08.23.05)
.....that you are right, everything you've ever said (omitting of course the whole disengagment and ousting of Sharon which didn't happen) is true. Then, let's continue to fantasize, in ten years your vision manifests into reality and we have the Jewish theocracy you dream of with all of Gaza, Judea, and Samaria okay? Lets even go so far as to assume that it wasn't a massacre of Arabs that turned the world against Israel, but more of an eviction that happened gradually. In this scenario, assuming you are still alive, how do you picture Israel? Will the Yesha Council be running the Knesset? If so, what foreign entity in their right mind would do any sort of business with Israel. How can we expect other nations (regardless of religion, though most civilized nations have seperation of church and state) to sympathize with your modern day Judaic Crusade? It would never happen. The Israeli economy would turn into a dump and the US public opinion would inevitably lose support for a regime as radical as the one you dream of. Every Arab in the world would be trying to attack us (don't dare say that's the case already, it is not), and just how then would we be able to protect ourselves with a dwindling economy and depleted military and resources? Do you even consider these things? How can we maintain military might with decreasing income and a dwindling economy. We would be sanctioned and blacklisted from the entire Western World, most of whom are already looking for a reason to do it anyway. You don't have the slightest understanding of the diplomatic arena or you wouldn't be such a critic of Sharon and his cronies. I know you used to worship him, you probably voted for him!! He got into office and realized the TRUE implications and consequences of non-compliance. You will never understand that because you spend too much time hating and criticizing. How can you pretend to know what Sharon was thinking, do you even have a fraction of the information he does? Alright, the only message I beg of you to take from that is this: No matter how strong your convictions, no matter how certain you may be, YOU DO NOT HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION. So try to control your arrogance for just one second and understand that you don't know with complete certainty what is going on and why Sharon did a 180 and changed his policies. How can you be so sure when you know so little? You had best get used to living in the dark Yish.
29. reply to Linda Rivera
Michael ,   Toronto   (08.23.05)
"G8 leaders have promised nine billion dollars to the Palestinian Authority over the next three years. TAX DOLLARS THAT SHOULD GO FOR THE IMMEDIATE BUILDING OF BOMB SHELTERS! " Bomb shelters, for whom? Isrealis, who have the fourth largest arsenal of nuclear weapons, or Palistinians, who have no nuclear weapons. Or for Amerikans, who have the largest arsenal of weapons in the world? How about the $500,000 US given to each family (or is it each individual person?) of jewish settlers to move a few miles over, into the territory known as Israel, and out of the occupied lands of Palistine? You don't really want peace (piece) you want it all. Without compassion and compromise, the peace coming to the middle east will be the result of nuclear war, a "final solution" for everyone. Now, be nice, ok? Shalom

'The devastation caused by the failed revolt surely sent some Palestinian Jews to join their cousins in Babylonia, or around the Mediterranean. But there was no massive exile, as there was at the time of the destruction of the First Temple. Sixty-five years later, when the Bar Kochba revolt failed (135 CE), the Romans expelled the Jews from Judea. But these expelled Jews settled in other parts of Palestine. During the third century CE, economic troubles in the Roman Empire seem to have induced many Jews to leave Roman-ruled Palestine for the more prosperous Babylonia (which was part of the territory of the other "superpower" of the time, Sassanid Persia). Yet, down to the end of the rabbinic period, Palestine continued to be a major center of Jewish life and thought. In the early seventh century CE, on the eve of the Arab conquest, there were still enough Jews in Palestine to be an important military factor in the territorial struggles between the Romans and the Persians. (What happened to these Palestinian Jews? It's anybody's guess. But my own guess is that they gradually converted to Islam under the pressure of the Arab rulers of Palestine, and that they are the ancestors of the people we now call "Palestinian Arabs.") ..' http://www.pathsinjudaism.com/judaism/syllabus/rabbinic.htm
