1. Stay in Jordan
Ann C. ,   USA   (08.25.05)
For your own sakes! When Gaza fills up with Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah (and various other PLO offshoots) there is going to be one terrorist attack too many, and Sharon is going to "let the fur fly". He will be able to do so to his heart's content because the Jews are now gone from Gaza. Yes, I hope the average Palestinian (who isn't interested in terror) heads to Egypt for a "vacation" soon so as to escape the coming destruction. Sharon the Fox.
2. Gaza and the End of Responsibility
Ramon Maislen ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.25.05)
Unfortunately, if Israel truly wishes to have a real end of its responsibility over Gaza, as called for within the Disengagment Plan, then they must be allow the PA to handle the internal affairs of Gaza. This is may be a grave security risk. However, if Israel truly wants to be free of Gaza, Abu-Mazen must run the show and not the Israeli Defense establishment. In addition, Israel should work towards releasing itself from any responsibilities such as, providing water, electricity, etc. to Gazans. I am a research analyst, to view my site in order to see more on this and other issues. visit: www.mideastviews.blogspot.com
3. The JEWISH Refugees Will Return To Gaza
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.25.05)
Just as we Jews have after EVERY one of the SIX prior expulsions from Gaza.
4. To Mr. Ramon
MENA ,   Gaza   (08.25.05)
So Mr. Ramon, you seem to be unhappy with leaving responsibility of Gaza, meanwhile you want to cut water, electricity, etc. Gaza is part of Palestine, and according to OSLO agreement, Gaza and the West Bank should be considered as a one unit. If Israel, however, want to split Gaza from the West Bank, this would be considered as a violation of Oslo agreement

Mena ,   Gaza   (08.25.05)
Well, you called the Jews, who occupied parts of the Gaza Strip for 38 years, refugee, and want them to return. Then whats about the Palestinian refugees who inforced to leave their land in 1948?
6. Their is no such thing as Jewish "Refugees"
Sal Azam ,   Chicago, USA   (08.25.05)
Jews were refugees when they left germany during the second world war. Just like the Afghans were during the Soviet invasion when they were living in Pakistan, Iran. If you the illegal settlers have your own very stable and rich country Israel and your pockets are full of $200,000-$300,000 U.S tax payers dollars, you have a hotel room booked for you, a temporary housing and a permanent house of your choice in proper Israel and then if someone calls himself/herself Jewish "refugees" he/she are plainly lying and crying crocodile tears hypocritically. Their is not a single Jew who is a refugee. Yes their are millions of Palestinians who are living in refugee camps, in Jordan and other parts of the world not by their choice but because they have no choice(diaspora Palestinians). to come back home. Jews can return to Israel doing which is called "Aliya "according to the law of return why cant the Palestinians return. Such policies of giving 1 million Israeli Arabs Israeli passports and deprive millions of others from coming back to the territories is racist, brutal and hypocritic. Normally if person in a housing project does not allow another family to go to their home the police takes care of them but here in Israel the government is supporting such brutal tactics and not allowing the return of the Palestinian refugees just to make sure that the Jewish demographic is not altered or goes in favor of the Palestinians from the perspective of population on both sides.
7. To MENA
Ramon ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.25.05)
According to the Oslo Agreements the West Bank and Gaza Strip are a Single Territorial Unit. This is true. However, that does not mean that there can not be a different political status for the two entities. (see this weeks article by Ruth Lapidoth in Bitterlemons.org ) Indeed, is it not in the best interest of the Palestinians to prove to the international community that they are ready govern the whole of the areas they desire? As opposed to bemoaning Israel's actions, which run counter to the Oslo Accords, focus should be put on building a successful Gaza. Moreover, the Palestinians have not implemented a number of the agreements called for within the Oslo Accords. Most notably, the dismantling of the terrorist infrastructure. Israel should release control of Gaza as a benefit for both peoples. Palestinians are going to have to learn how to run a self-sufficient state in the years to come. Therefore, this is a great place to start. see views and news I find interesting at my blog www.mideastviews.blogspot.com
8. There ARE Jewish Refugees
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.25.05)
Jews lived in Gaza until the Arabs ethnically cleansed ALL Jews in 1929 and 1948. They were refugees. Jews returned home again to Gaza and were ethnically cleansed by Sharon. They are refugees. And NO US tax dollars ever paid for ANY Jew to live in Gaza. In fact, ALL US aid to Israel deducts ANY money Israel spends for Jews to live in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. Philistines are refugees of their own aggression and bloodlust. They started wars. They lost wars. They ran away. Their brothers kept them in misery to be a tool against Israel. That's THEIR problem. PS Under UNRWA's operational definition, "Palestine refugees are persons whose normal place of residence was Palestine between June 1946 and May 1948". http://www.un.org/unrwa/refugees/whois.html According to the UN, residence here for 2 years gives them the right to be called "Palestinians". LOL!

Sharon will "let the fur fly ...to his heart's content because the Jews are now gone from Gaza." Sounds reasonable but with the world scrutinizing so closely I wonder if that's really true. The most interesting aspect is Jordan's reaction to this affair.
10. What
Nablus 1   (08.25.05)
It is only natural for these people to return to their homeland and teach their children to love their Palestine and never let any homeless take it away from them Salam
11. sal - then there are no palestinian refugees
mike ,   usa   (08.25.05)
they forefited their "right" when they left. anyway the so-called "palestinian refugee problem" is the creation of the arab countries which deny them their basic human rights. not israel's problem.
12. Pack them in . . .
Chrisona ,   Chicago.IL   (08.25.05)
How many sardines does it take to stuff a tin? Sharon's brutal deportation of settlers is good for somebody, anyhow--the king of Jordan. He's looking at solving 200,000 problems. Yes, do pack them in. That way their unhappiness will grow faster than their numbers.
13. To "Mike" and other zionists like him
Sal Azam ,   Chicago, USA   (08.25.05)
Palestinians living in Jenin,Jordan and other places are refugees under Israeli occupation where the illegal thieves known as settlers are enjoying their lives like in West Bank, East Jerusalem. First Israel pushed all the Palestinians out of their towns and villages and then they say they themselves kicked themselves out? Its like a Palestinian government comes and takes kicks out the Israelis from TelAviv and Jerusalem, forfiets their passports and then say Israelis forfeit their rights of return because they "left" their country. If the Jews can come and claim Israel after 2000 their home why cant the Palestinian return after 38 or 57 years. You were late 1950 years but still can go to Israel but they who lived their cannot come back. Is this justice? No this is zionism and racism with a two dimentional vision. Only race and power which Israel is loosing infront of the world. The just and peace making Jews agree with me that all who were made refugees should be allowed to come back. Like the Afghans going back to Afghanistan.
14. some 'bretheren'
marv ,   usa   (08.25.05)
This shows how much Arab countries really care for their breheren they've been crying about and blasting Israel about for the past 57 years. Especially Jordan, the majority of whose population are Palestinians. Instead of absorbing them into their countries granting them rights & citizenship, turning them into productive citizens, they keep them locked up & langushing in 'refugee camps' for generations for propaganda purposes, to nourish hatred of Israel and make Israel look bad. Contrast this with the hundreds of thousands of Jews -holocaust survivors and Jews expelled from Arab lands, that Israel absorbed and took care of over the years. It's not as if the Arab world has no money to take care of these people. If they really cared about them the "refugee problem" could have been solved years ago - as was every other refugee problem after WWII involving far greater numbers of people.
15. There are no Palestinian Refugees in ..
Salameh ,   Gaza   (08.25.05)
There are no Palestinian Refugees in the 59 UN-recognized Palestinian refugee Camps. They just don't exist as far as Kahana, Eitam, Orlev, Eldad, Sharansky and the entire Israeli right wing are concerned. But the catch is, they themseleves are not worth a reply anyway, they are cut off from reality and part of a hallucination messaikh myths that will lead them to a well-deserved end, and days will tell.
16. 13 sal - "this is zionism and racism"??
mike ,   usa   (08.25.05)
what about "islam and racism"? they are every bit as bad, if not worse, than what you describe the jews to be. except the muslims prefer to kill rather than drive out (eliminating any potential refugees). anyway, the actual refugees who were there have a case to be let back in. the others should be allowed to have free lives where they are from their arab brothers. israel is a much more civil and humane society, which is why you don't see the raw hate like is seen in islamic ones.
17. RETURN JEWISH REFUGEES TO GUSH KATIF & NO SAMARIA NOW
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.26.05)
The Jewish refugees have no homes and no jobs. They had homes, jobs, factories, farms, greenhouses and businesses. The Jewish refugees built everything themselves on sand and dirt on land that NEVER belonged to Arabs. Return the Jewish refugees immediately back to Gush Katif and northern Samaria. The racism and Jew-hate that demands Jews are cleansed off Jewish land is criminal and evil. It is against everything western civilization stands for. RETURN THE JEWISH REFUGEES NOW.
