1. Our thoughts are with both of the injured guards
Eli Vardi ,   Israel   (08.28.05)
Both these brave citizens of Israel deserve our support and assistance to their families. These are the people who need our support in education, accomodation and poverty relief.
2. Human Value
Hanan ,   Israel   (08.28.05)
Terrorists dont value life, only carnage, their acts are indiscrimanate and hurt and kill anyone in there path. So terrorists what value do you place on life, I fear nothing. To the famalies of the injured I wish you strength and to the injured I wish you a quick recovery.
3. Wounded Guards
NYC Girl   (08.28.05)

mike ,   usa   (08.28.05)

9. bediouns are nice people!
(08.29.05)

10. #9 - I agree with you.
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.29.05)
11. #10 - So why do you write such hate postings?
Eli Vardi ,   Israel   (08.29.05)
You class every one in Gaza as a terrorist. There are Bedouins there too. Do you think that everyone on this side of the green line is nice, but the same people on the other side are terrorists? Are Jews always nice? You''ve already called some of us JEW Haters............ Maybe only Jews who live over the gren line in Gaza and the West Bank are nice? Things aren't as simple here as you seem to think. Maybe you don['t read your postings before you press the submit button? Stop the Hate postings Lynda, it affends most Israeli's.
12. To Eli Vardi - Good morning! Please be TRUTHFUL.
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.29.05)
Eli, you say about me: "You class everyone in Gaza as a terrorist" THIS IS A LIE. I have NEVER at any time said everyone in Gaza is a terrorist. I would not dream of saying such a thing. I beieve strongly in human rights and believe strongly that just like everyone else on this planet JEWS MUST HAVE HUMAN RIGHTS ALSO. Jews must not be excluded from the human rights so freely given to others that are denied to Jews.
13. Then Linda, you really don't know what you write !!!
Eli Vardi ,   Israel   (08.29.05)
This is one of your last posts: " I am horrified, and have great sadness that the City of Tel Aviv chooses to show cruelty to Jews who have had their human rights massively violated in order that Jewish land and assets could be gifted to terrorists. " The Gaza settlers left Gaza to return the land to the Palestinian Arabs in Gaza. Who are you calling terrorists? The headline: JEWS MADE JOBLESS & HOMELESS FOR TERRORISTS Not important that most aren't jobless or homeless, but who are the terrorists? This is just one of your totally untrue and inciting headlines. Incidentally, the land taken in 1967, what is known as the west bank ,was Jordanian territory, not Palestinian or vacant vacuum land. You would rather 8,000 Jews live in luxury ranch houses in Gaza than give breathing space to 1.3 million Gazaens who live in poverty with the highest density overcrowding in the World. These are the people that you call Terrorists. Shame on you Linda.
14. Hi Eli Vardi-PA is a terrorist organization
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.29.05)
The Palestinian Authority control PA areas and they are a terrorist organization. These are the terrorists I am referring to along with Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc. Every single one of the PA's security services are involved in terrorist attacks against Israel. Eli -Jews built everything on sand and dirt on land that NEVER belonged to Arabs. Through the Jews hard work they built farms, greenhouses, factories, businesses and homes, etc. WHY SHOULD ALL THIS BE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE JEWS?
15. Eli- give up
Helen ,   Jerusalem   (08.29.05)
Shocking as it is that CrazyLinda has something nice to say about one of our "cousins", you are wasting your time and energy. We should, as mike points out, just revel in the miracle!
16. Linda, things move fast here, you're 18 months behind
Eli Vardi ,   Israel   (08.29.05)
1. The people to benefit from the withdrawal from Gaza are the Palestinian people. At least that is the intention. 2. Since Arafat went to that great terrorist camp in the sky we have a much more pragmatic ( read realistic) group in the PA. It's not the PLO anymore. Realise the difference. 3. # Abbas and Dachlan etc realise that they have to show something for their people. They are going to use Gaza and the Euro money to build ports and houses for their people. That is a good thing for Palestinian Arabs and Israelis. 4. They do not have the strength to go head to head with Hamas, Islamic Jehad etc. They need to cut at their support base by making it less worthwhile to support them. 5. They are not angels, they have a past, but it's important that we build a trust between our peoples because there is no alternative. We are not going anywhere, and we ned peace with our neighbours. They are the best chance for peace that we have had in Israel History. 6. You must allow the Palestinian arabs to live like human beings, they have rights, and this PA has the best opportunity to improve their peoples lives. We, the Jewish people will have to compromise and give them back territory so that they can build their State. 7. It's a risk, but we hope and pray that the PA will gain strength and the faith of their own people. Shake off the culture of corruption festered by Arafat and become our partners in trade and peace. 8. It will not come tomorrow, there is too much hate, some from you, but we have to start sometime, for our childrens sake.
17. But what about the 1.2 million peasants in Gaza?
(08.29.05)
They deserve a life.........
18. Linda, the Jews employed Gaza Arabs to build their houses
Dudu ,   Beer Sheva   (08.29.05)
19. PA used to be a terrorist organization
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.29.05)
I need to correct what I wrote before. I did not mean the PA are still a terrorist org. They used to be, now their actions prove they are trying hard to stop terrorists. I am proud of anyone who stops terrorists, be Arabs, Bedouin or Jews.
20. eli
mike ,   usa   (08.29.05)
i think a lot of people's beef with linda stems from the fact that she is blindly partial toward jews. she is the champion of human rights for jews. but for her it is, and should be, always at the expense of others and in favor of jews. the only justice she talks about is where the jew comes out on top. it is a form of "justice" that her supposed faith abhors. secondly, she talks about the "ethnic cleansing" horror of the disengagement. because it is jews that are removed, she opposes it. when it comes to the removal of arabs in the war of independance, you'd expect silence from her. but no; it is ok because it is the jews' divine right to have all of the land. one man's ethnic cleansing is another man's (or woman's) divine duty. she just doesn't understand that blindly supporting jews, israel, settlers is a dishonest betrayal of the things she says she believes in. the manifesto "i will bless those who bless you" is perverted into something that many on these talkbacks perceive as "hate". it is curious why there are more jews, israeli jews, and israel supporters who are offended with linda and her posts. to endlessly recycle such allegiance to her narrow views, while offending so many jews, strikes me as quite the opposite of what a "blessing" is intended to be. but, hey, be glad she at least answers your posts. i'd leave her completely alone if she would answer me 2 questions.
21. Mike: I did not say I am for "removal of arabs"
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.29.05)
Mike, Again I don't think you understood what I wrote in the past. I am against the removal of anyone (jews, arabs) from their land. So with the "disengagement" it is obviously very sad. But it is also sad when the arabs need to move because of what we do (and did). I am not a bad person as most of you try to imply.
22. linda, you are changing your story again
mike ,   usa   (08.29.05)
how can you say "I am against the removal of anyone (jews, arabs) from their land" when you do nothing but excuse/explain away what israel did to arabs during her independence? your silence/defense of israel's actions then are indicative of your lack of sympathy for anyone who is not a jew (or a religous jew). have you ANY sympathy for your brothers in jesus (and not just christians in name only, but believers) who have had their family's land taken away by israel and pushed out to somewhere else? according to your posts, the answer is clearly NO. you know, you can do a post here and there saying "oh yes i do sympathise" or "oh no, i don't condone that" but then you go on and on saying the same "stop the jew hate", "jews must have human rights", "jews made homeless" and so forth. i would think that you would be more concerned about justice for every human being, not just the jewish ones. you say that the disengagement is sad in your last post. you shed tears over some settlers who have little support and sympathy in their own country and are removed for their own safety and good of israel, but not one tear from you about your christian brothers and sisters who have lost everything from the zionist enterprise. i support israel, you know that, but i am MORE interested in israel doing what is right. justice is not justice if it favors jews (or anyone else) above others. look in your bible - god didn't treat israel any differently than the nations he drove out from the land because of their sin. it is the same in his eyes because some things were more important to him than any land or people. i don't think you are a "bad" person - i'll give you benefit of the doubt that you are not a hypocrite and just assume that you are severely misinformed and misguided. it is one thing to support israel; it is another thing to blindly support anything no matter what that entity does. isn't that what drives you crazy about palestinian supporters, how they excuse/explain away the atrocities they commit? but why you are so loyal to the religious jews, regardless of what they do and stand for, when they are the ones who curse the name of your savior, i'll never understand.
