Time for Amerikkka to go home. So long, and thanks for all the apple pie...
2. What a tragedy
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.31.05)
My condolences to the families of these innocents. The world witnessed the public joy of the Iraqis celebrating in the streets when Iraqis were freed from Saddam through U.S. military intervention. We rejoiced with the Iraqis. Since that time, a terrible thing has taken place - Iraq has become extremely violent and unstable. The people have a lot less freedom and Islamists are greatly empowered. All of the Muslim Middle Eastern countries - joined by all of the other Islamic nations must hold emergency meetings to formulate a plan of action as to what they can all do to stop this violence and suffering of the innocent Iraqi people and enable the U.S. to leave Iraq as soon as possible.
3. You're pretty pathetic Eyal
New York Gal   (08.31.05)
Terrorism hasn't won! If it HAD WON, we would be out of Iraq now! I guess that's the difference between you and me.....you run and hide from the bad people.....we stay and fight the bad people!

I live in Israel; this is the next best thing to living on the front line in the war against terror that there is. YOU live in Noo Yawk City. You have not even left home to "fight the bad people". I also have more than two years air force service behind me in Angola and Namibia; fighting terr's as called them. This tragic event shows one thing and one thing only; that in their invasion of Iraq, America has failed to win the hearts and minds of the people of Iraq; they are, literally running scared - therefore, terror has won. Time to go home; the storm is coming and it isn't called Katrina.
5. you said it, Linda

6. Wrong again Eyal
New York Gal   (08.31.05)
"YOU live in Noo Yawk City." For someone who claims to know so much, you forget that "Noo Yawk" consists of more than one city. I live upstate....hour and a half from "Noo Yawk City"! "You have not even left home to "fight the bad people." Correct, but I am in full contact with MANY MANY Americans serving in Iraq and Afghanastan. I get my info from them....not some liberal news rag. Too bad more people don't get their news from these soldiers. "This tragic event shows one thing and one thing only, that in their invasion of Iraq, America has failed to win the hearts and minds of the people of Iraq." Once again....wrong. First, what does the invasion of Iraq have to do with a friggen stampede? Second, if you paid a little less attention to your biased news sources, you'd know that what they report is not true. I can't tell you how many times I have seen, heard, and spoken to Americans serving in Iraq and Afghanastan. They are beside themselves with anger at the way the media portrays this war. "Time to go home; the storm is coming and it isn't Katrina." Katrina came and left many people in devastating circumstances. I don't see you rushing to help. It was only a few days ago when the Americans once again came to the aid of the Europeans in their flood disaster. With everything that Americans are already involved with, we somehow had the time, energy, and money to help out. All you seem to do is criticize!
7. PEACE
Libyan Guy ,   Italy   (09.01.05)
We need urgently peace and end to occupation to win the war againest terror fanatics.
8. A worthy opponent?
Eyal ,   Tlv.il   (09.01.05)
NYC/NY State. who cares? You live in America ... to say "you run and hide from the bad people.....we stay and fight the bad people!" is erroneous. I moved here to make my life in Israel; a country that is ALWAYS a target of terror. And I moved here from Johannesburg, the murder Capitol of the World. Run and hide? Pfft. Bring it on! I would have moved to Alaska if I wanted to do that. "First, what does the invasion of Iraq have to do with a friggen stampede?" Firstly, cattle stampede, not people. What does the invasion have to do with that - everything: US forces are fighting terrorists in Iraq. The fact that +1000 "people" died trying to escape the mere "rumour" of a suicide bomber is clear evidence they live in fear - terror rules their lives. When that evil freak, Zakarwee, [sic] says "Boo" they are terrorised. I doubt that because US troops are in Iraq these "stampeding " people are comforted. They ran for their lives. And THAT's my point. I wish they never had to. "Katrina came and left many people in devastating circumstances." You seem to be aloof when it comes to tragedy. "Cattle" stampedes in Iraq; "devastating circumstances" in the wake of Katrina. By "devastating circumstances" you mean dead, homeless and at the mercy of looters? "I don't see you rushing to help." No, & you won't; my resources are pledged elsewhere. Sorry. Yes, the US has come to the aid of the world on more than once; my late father fought in WWII alongside US forces & we will always remember their sacrifice. As an ex-military man I know what it means to serve. But I can see this battle in Iraq is merely a diversion; and that the time has come for American forces to regroup because there is a storm coming, & they will need all their strength to withstand it. If they burn out in Iraq they will lose the war. Stop getting your knickers in a knot and take a look at http oilsnotwell dot blogspot dot com
