The Palestinians hate Israel and never miss an opportunity to defame it. They do not want peace with us. Their only goal is to destroy us.

Pakistan is recognizing the Israeli withdrawl from Gaza and will not establish relations until Israel ends the occupation of West Bank and East Jerusalem. Other Arab/Muslim countries should do the same, encourage Israel to withdraw, establish contact and convince Israel that a Palestinian state is of benefit to it. What is there to complain about ?

The premise of Oslo was that a period of confidence building was necessary before moving to final status talks and a peace treaty between Israel and a Palestinian State. Under the land for peace plan, the Palestinians were required to recognize the Jewish State of Israel and stop the anti-Israel and antisemitic incitement and do their best to defeat terrorism directed against Israel. Likewise, the roadmap calls for a crackdown on terrorism and an end to incitement against Israel. Well, Israel has withdrawn from Gaza and yet there is no lessening of the hostility towards Israel. The incitement continues and any effort to establish relations between Muslims and Jews is denounced by The Palestinians. Even though Hamas and Islamic Jihad vow to destroy Israel, they are invited into the Palestinian government. The PA's Fatah copntinues to be a terrorist organization and there are no statements that about living in peace with a Jewish State. Some confidence building.

Anti-semitism is going strong in Pakistan, and Musharraf is no friend of the Jews. In warming towards Israel, Musharraf's has two motives: 1) to put on a back burner the developing military relationship between Israel and India, which is Pakistan's arch enemy. 2) To please the United States, who benefits if her two allies develop a better relationship.

You are correct. Other Arab countries should do the same. What Hamas and others are bitching about is simply that this kind of situation takes away power from them....I am convinced that there will be a Palestinian state, and that it will come as a benefit to all.....but this Palestinian state can only be built once Hamas and other extremists power hungry ( dont believe one second that Hamas would really help anyone if they were in power !!!) will cease to interfere in politics. Now that Israel pulled out of Gaza, it is time for the Palestinian people ( the real people, not a bunch of Jew haters like Hamas and Islamic Jihad) to take their destiny in their own hands.... The land in Palestinia is made of the same soil as the land in Israel...Nothing stops Palestinian to turn their country in the equivalent of what Israel became....provided that they clean up the mess left by Arafat....and that they get possible some financial help by other arab countries.....but will the money come and be used for the right purposes ???
