1. They Can't Have It Both Ways
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (09.11.05)
They wanted Jews to be ethnically cleansed. Let them pay for it too; with their state-owned, NOT privately owned land. That's the difference between them and Kfar Darom. Kfar Darom's land IS privately owned JEWISH land.
2. To No 1
Adele ,   Nirim   (09.11.05)
I would like to see YOU invest 30 years of blood (yes - blood - our people died farming and protecting this land and yours) sweat and tears farming land that was never under dispute, and then agree to have your livelihood taken away with no reparation, what wouldyou say then!? For every man woman and child moved out of the Gush, the country pays millions, and we who stay here don't deserve to be compensated for OUR present and future loss of source of income? Kibbutznicks (and in particular, the members of Nirim) are still Zionists, living by ideals and protecting this country. We are tired of being a punching bag. We work hard - VERY hard, we pay our taxes, and deal with life in the periphery and on the border. A little respect please! We are not asking for handouts! Only our due!
3. correction
Adele ,   Nirim   (09.11.05)
Kibbutz Nirim has been serving this country by farming and protecting for 60 years, not as I mistakenly wrote above.
4. nirim
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (09.11.05)
I HAVE been invested the time, the sweat, and the blood, and so have the Jews of Gush Katif- the ones that YOU are responsible for ethnically cleansing. They paid their taxes, served in the most elite units in the army, and were FAR more productive than Nirim- producing an overwhelming majority of Israel's bug-free produce. I would support your "due" if you would have fought for the same for your neighbors. You didn't. You hung them out to dry. You abandoned them willingly. You stabbed them in the back. Enjoy your kassams and mortars, and look to see who will STILL come back to protect you- the same people that YOU supported to ethnically cleanse.
5. nirim
Avi ,   Jerusalem   (09.11.05)
The Jews of Gush Katif and Netzarim were living there more than a decade before you made aliyah. They paid their dues when you were still in New York, so spare us the story.
6. Is the blood of the people of Nirm more red
Ilan ,   Ariel   (09.11.05)
than that of the people of Eli Sinai and Gush Katif?
7. Fair compensation...
Adele ,   Nirim   (09.11.05)
... that is the issue here - no our blood is no redder than anyone elses' and our work is no less valuable any anyone elses' - hence, we deserve fair compensation just as much as those who have been disengaged from the Gush. Stick to the issues - if you want to have a go at me for the disengagement, you can, if it makes you feel any better - but that is NOT the issue here.
8. To Avi
Adele ,   Nirim   (09.11.05)
1. Inaccurate 2. Irrelevant 3. If you want to talk about it, you obviously know me - get in touch.
9. URGENT request
Adele ,   Nirim   (09.11.05)
My complete name still appears on talkbacknumber 5 - please remove it! Immediately! (In the article about kibbutz Nirim)
10. Re Adele of Nirim
Navah   (01.14.09)
Go girl! These other comments are way off topic...the issue is fair & equal compensation, not debating, or venting on the disengagement. Fair is fair for all...that's the issue...
