Very good for Canada, the west is finally getting wise. Sharia is a barbaric law and was not even good for the 7th centuary.

but muslims love their barbaric shariah "law." Ontario legislators couldn't stomach cutting off the hand of a child that stole a toy or stoning to death a wife who wanted a divorce from her unfaithful husband or a woman set on fire in an "honor" killing. What total stupidity it is to call sharia "law" when it is nothing more than the insantity of the dark ages acted out on helpless victims.

I think those of us in the West would do well to pay close attention to the warnings of people like Arif. He sounds like somebody who's been there.

Hi, this is Mubin Shaikh from the article. There is SO MUCH misinformation - I feel sorry for those who want to know the truth of whats happenin. The fact is, what the government has done is choose not to give official sanction our decisions. It does NOT prohibit the practice. What this means is that decisions will not be able to be enforced by the state - bad news for those women who could have resorted to state enforcement to get their money. Also, Muslims have been offering the service since 1991 and so we are not latecomers to this. So, all is not what it seems. Cheers!
