The burning of Synagogues is typical of Muslim cultures. They are intollerant of all other religions. For example, during the first Gulf War President Bush Sr. visited Saudi Arabia to cellebrate Thanksgiving with the American troops stationed there. But when Saudi authorities learned that Bush planned to say grace before digging into the turkey and cranberry sauce, they informed him that it was forbidden to utter a non-Islamic prayer on their holy soil. Bush conceded and the venue for Thanksgiving was changed to a cargo ship in international waters. Another example of their intollerance. No Jew or Christian is allowed to pray on the Temple Mount which, unfortunately, is in Muslim hands. This is true even though the Temple Mount is the most holy place of all for Jews and also very holy for Christians. Imagine the world outcry if Israel forbade people to practice any religion other than Judaism.

It is one thing to have a yellow star of david sewn to the outside of your clothing and having identification stating who you are. Having your nationality or ethnic background marked on your identification is done in alot of countries around the world and no one cries out against it... they mark these things onto all kinds of ID for people. Here in Canada people have special ID to show that they are war veterans, senior citizens, inuit or native canadian, members of the armed forces or knowledgeable in first aid. BUT all this ID usually fits in your wallet... not sewn onto your lapel and usually not used to subject you to abuse, but to give you privileges or store discounts.
