Ontario is correct. Justice for all, in the same fashion , is the ONLY correct approach. Shariah allows wife beating, stoning, and other niceties like seen on recent videos from Iran....The civilisation cannot accept this. Who ever came out with this ideas about " faith based" courts are dangerous zealot dreamers. Religion has NOTHING TO DO with state affairs, regardless if Jewish,Moslem, or Christians . No difference in race, creed or colour. Justice for all... Christina, Moslem and Jewish criminals or offenders must receive equal punishment for equal offences... Whoever accepts a judicial system which is based on faith must be taken out of the UN charter.

As a Canadian I am glad to see that there will not be sharia law here. There was a few stories in the papers here of men beating women then claiming that it was thier right under the sharia law....very UNcanadian. We have laws to protect citizens and uphold their rights. I am sorry to see that it will affect other cultures, the jewish culture and also perhaps the native people here (they have tribal councils to help thier own people's that is sensitive to thier culture). Whatever group and whatever culture involved should respect the laws that are in place that the Canadians try to keep fair for all people that choose to live here.
