Actually I was quite impressed. They referred to Hamas as a terrorist group, and backed up their use of that term by noting how this status is recognized in the U.S. and Europe. The rest of the mainstream media, including Associated Press peices, insist on calling Hamas "militants."

The Hamas would just as easily lie as they breathe. Not ONE scintilla of truth from their collective lying mouths. They lie as a tactic. Everyone but a delusional apologist knows this fact.

No one can win by deception and monkey tricks. Israeli Moosad agent wrote extensively on the psyche of Moosad and that the art of deception is mastered by them. It will do the right thing also and it will further enhance its stature and legitimize its existence to join the mainstream Palestinian political parties. Israel helped Hamas alot to make it fight the PLO but failed when it saw the Hamas was as much for a Palestinian state as the PA was. Its bad news for Sharon. The U.S, EU, Russia and the UN will cautiously endorse and appreciate this gesture by Hamas and would like to see more action on ground and they will fulfill the Israeli requirement like Mehmood Abbas is doing. Sharon is not fulfilling its side of the bargain. But the pressure is on on him.

I just checked Reuters own website. And their version of the story does use "terrorist." Chalk it up as a small victory for sanity. I don't care what spokemen say, Hamas remains a threat. The truely frightening aspect of all this is that it may be too late for the PA to dismantle Hamas. Arafat could have rather easily accomplished this in the 90's. He did not, and now Hamas is the PA's equal in all but international standing.
