After all, He is the Creator of the Heavens and the earth, and He can give His possessions to whomsoever He chooses; and just because others have inhabited or “lay claim” to the land of Israel, does not negate the fact that this earth, and everything in it, ultimately belongs to God. I looked at the membership of the UNCHR and it is a bit wierd. One can understand that China and US must be on it, but why Cuba, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Zimbabwe, for God's sake? Still, the great majority of the 53 members seem reasonable.

Ultimately, Israel's barrier is a far more humane approach to preventing terror attacks than many that Israel could be employing. Israel needs to do something to counter the Palestinians' lunatic fringe until the PA gains the will to do something constructive about the problem. Would Mr. Dugard prefer instead to see more terror attacks, followed by vicious cycles of back-and-forth reprisals, with many dead on both sides? That does not seem like a good idea. Negotiations take time, especially when trust has been smashed the way Arafat smashed the trust of Israelis. And Islamic Jihad/etc. will do everything possible to disrupt said negotiations with terrorist attacks. So someone needs to do something in the meantime, and Israel has chosen a relatively peaceful middle course that minimizes the casualties on both sides.
