It is clear that the Arabs (Israeli / Palestinian / foreign) have chosen a three-pronged assault on Israel: 1. Terror 2. Diplomatic / political isolation 3. Demographics We have learned how to deal with issues 1 and 2 (to varying degrees of success), but issue 3 is potentially the most dangerous and most frightening. They are deliberately trying to overwhelm us with numbers, and we are doing NOTHING about it. Last year they were 15.2%, this year 16.1%, soon they will be 20%... and at a certain point all hell will break loose here. Already whole neighbourhoods or even cities that were formerly Jewish have become Arab (e.g. Lod), and Israeli authority extends there in name only. With a few notable exceptions (e.g. the Druze), the Moslem community has no real allegiance to Israel and is just biding its time until it is strong enough to overthrow the State. Over the past several years hundreds of Israeli Arabs have been caught actively assisting the terror organisations (and those are only the ones that are caught); many more provide financial or moral support to our enemies. In 2000 we had a small taste of what will happen when they join their Moslem brothers in their campaign against Israel. We disengaged from Gaza in order to defuse a demographic timebomb, but meanwhile the Arabs are assembling and priming an even more deadly bomb in our midst. I am not xenophobic and believe that Israel should exist as a multi-party, multi-cultural, pluralistic democracy. But that is just the point: given the Arab population's dramatic growth rate, our democracy will soon be overwhelmed and Israel will become another Arab country from within. What is the answer, and when will Israel wake up and read the writing on the wall?

As the Arab population also the Jewish religious population is growing. The Israeli government is much more afraid about about a shrinking secular population than the Arab demographics. Already today, the seculars are way to much over-represented in the government, justice and media.

Israel has severe problems with their disloyal Arab Muslim population. These are problems that cannot be ignored. In 2000, treasonous Arab Muslim members of Israel's government along with the PA, incited to violence against Jews. It appears these Arab Muslim Israelis want the right to freely attack and murder Jews. One of the major objectives of Islamists is to deny Jews the human right of self-defense. While I am glad to see the Jewish population increasing in Israel from births, I want to see it higher in Israel and everywhere else in the world. The world won't take us seriously until we represent a larger percent of the population. We need to increase the Jewish worldwide population to at least 150 million in the next hundred years and to 25 million in Israel, and yes, I believe Israel is large enough to support 30 million people, including the cities in Judea and Samaria. It will just be very urban in most parts. These numbers are realistic through birth, conversion, and bringing home lost tribes in India, Ethiopia, and the millions of Hispanics of Jewish descent who were forced to convert. We should strive to have as many children as we can afford to love.

Many of the Palestinian Arabs had been Jewish until the 7th century--that's why some many of the Arab towns have names with Hebrew or Aramaic origins-- During the Christian --Byzantine--poeriod--many Jews in Eretz Israel converted to Christianity--and then, with the Muslim invasion, many of them, including the remaining Jews, converted to Islam rather than becoming 2nd class dhimmi At the time of the Arab invasion there were hundreds of Jewish towns in Eretz Israel --we alldidn't leave during the Roamn times. Prof. Benzion Netanyahu's well researched books roundly and soundly support the theory that the Jews of Spain who converted to Christianity did so largely out of convienance and TRUE religious conviction and once they did so were amongst the best Christians that Spain and Latin America has ever known. By and large their descendents don't want to be Jews and are perfectly happy as Christians. So why should they convert to Judaism? With respect to the organizations working to find lost tribes....it is ludricous search fueled by right wing money in order to attempt to populate the West Bank. Thing is that once these "lost tribes" arrive in Israel and they are dumped into the West Bank every effort is made to keep them away from the white Ashkenazi population. In other words its another story of let's find a donkey to do the work for us so that we nice white Ashkenazi Jews can stay all happy and rich in the United States.

Newt; 1. I lived for two years on Hilel Street in Haifa, a few blocks from the Bahai shrine in fact. Haifa is a mixed town and during my time there I hung out in Arab cafes in Wadi Nisnas and the German Colony, had Arab friends, visited their houses, took trips to Arab towns, and so on, in addition to doing my work (which was primarily with Jews). At no point did I ever have the remotest reason to fear for my life. I'm white as can be and was never hassled or treated rudely. This was during 2002 and 2003, the height of the Intifada, so riding the bus was definitely scary. But there's a difference between an Arab sneaking in from Tul Karm with a bomb in order to blow up a bus, versus an Arab from Shfaram riding that same bus to work (who is just as scared of the bomber as anyone else). if you don't care that there's a difference, and choose to suspect every Arab, that's the definition of racism. 2. Fear of Arabs goes deeper than fear of bombers; read the article again and the posts. What's got everyone scared isn't Arab bombers, it's Arab babies. That's racist too. 3. The US gives billions of dollars every year, my tax dollars, to Israel. Whenever we give foreign aid to any other country in the world, it's full of all sorts of restrictions and regulations on what they can and can't do. I don't see why Israel should be any different. It sure as hell seems like it. Israel is headed down a very frightening path. Already 1/3 of children in Israeli schools are Arab. Ultra-Orthodox Jews are our only hope, they are the only Jews who procreate. Ashkenazis - of whom the vast majority are secular - are literally responsible for this silent Holocaust, both in Israel and out. Israeli Jews have a frightening reality that they will have to wake up to. Or maybe, deep down Jews like being a minority??? George, I'm sorry, but I just can't see how it is racist for Jews (whom can be of any race, including many that are racially Arab) to want to be a majority in their own nation. And, please George, do tell us of your equally harsh observation of Taiwan, Jordan, Egypt, the Palestinians, etc. Who receive aid amounts comparable to that of Israel... and how you appreciate Israel's vast, and worthwhile technological and intelligence contributions to the US, or how the aid goes directly to American products, thus assisting working Americans.
