1. Three dead Jews in Israel equates to 150 dead Americans
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA   (10.18.05)
because America has fifty times the population. Imagine what Bush would say if the islmac scum had killed 150 Americans. Ease up, be nice, NOT ON YOUR LIFE but to Bush, Jewish life is cheap and the terrorists need to be bought off with blood.
2. Damn George Bush
Marya ,   Sacramento, USA   (10.18.05)
and his Arabist State Department! Let's randomly slaughter a few Palestinians and see how the world reacts. Let's gun some kids down while they innocently stand in the street and see how Egypt, America and the dhimmified EU react! You know how it will be? They will be falling down with outrage. First, Israel would never conduct itself in such a mannner but if it did there would be a whole lot more screaming and condemning then now when it's only Jews ... only Jews! Do you get it people? No-one cares and our lives mean nothing! Just keep plodding forward, keep driving, nothing to see! Wake up please, someone...
3. US must first understand the enemy
sumayah ,   earth   (10.18.05)
ait would be a wise thing to do to inform McCormack (State Dept) and Gen Ward that the reason why US is failing in Iraq is for the same reason Israel should not. The restraint US is imposing on Israel is wrong! To fight this war, first we have to identify the enemy. The enemy is an ideology. It is an ideology that promotes hate and incites violence. This ideology is called Islam. This is all in accordance with the teachings of Islam. Muhammad ordered his followers to instill terror in the hearts of those who do not believe in him(8:12). He exhorted them to fight against unbelievers (8:65), slay them (9:5), punish them by their hands (9:14),and make them feel SUBDUED (9:29) . This is exactly what is happening. The terrorists are not misguided Palestinian Muslims. They are the real Muslims doing what their prophet instructed them to do. Not all Muslims are terrorists. But the fact is that the Islamic terrorists hide among the Muslims, who in turn either protect them or are sympathetic to their cause. Islamic community is the breeding ground of Islamic terrorism. We can`t find the terrorists to eliminate them before they strike, but we can eliminate their breading ground.
4. USA has a role in the Israel-Palestine conflict
Daniel Pearl ,   NY, US   (10.18.05)
We, in the US, have a good understanding of the situation and therefore we have the moral responsability to weigh in. After all, we're a strong supporter of Israel. Each and every American tax payer has the right to press the Sharon gov. to cease the humilation, the killing of the Palestinian population. Our president has to increase the pressure more to end the occupation of the all Palestinian land and press the Sharon gov to go to the table to negociate a peace agreement with the Palestinian. It doesn't make sense to me to keep sending billions of dollars to an occupier.
5. America stay out of it.
Daavid ,   Usa   (10.18.05)
What a nerve. The State department did not have the decency to wait for the victims to be buried. America stay out of it, and mind your own wars
6. Too funny. (laughing my brains out)
Roger ,   'Occupied' Nu Mexico   (10.18.05)
To match this crap on easing up on the poor palestinians.... *after* they slaughtered 3 innocent Jews, the US told the Palestinians they need to DO *MORE* TO STOP TERROR. What a darn joke is this. Someone please tell me what THEY ARE DOING IF ANYTHING TO STOP TERROR to begin with. To make this even funnier, can you imagine down through the years how many times the US has said this to the Palestinians? Thousands perhaps. That's why feckless, wimped out toothless condemnations mean nothing. And the PA knows it too. They are laughing right along with me. (But for the wrong reasons.) They are laughing because when it comes to the US and the world, they have the upper hand. Of course when it comes to not mincing words with Israel the US is right on the mark! Especially right after the slaughter of 3 beautiful Israelis. They were full of life. Now they are dead. Got to hand it to the US government on their timing! Do more!!!!! Please someone, anyone tell me what they have DONE to begin with that they should do MORE???
7. again Bush the hypocrite
Hilda ,   USA   (10.18.05)
Many of us were deceived when we voted for Bush and thought he was what he claimed ---a friend of Israel. We have found out through bitter experience that this was just words to get elected. Bush's war on terrorism is just the biggest hypocricy imaginable. He has proven that he loves Palestinian terrorists. Jewish blood is water to him. My father and uncle fought for this country and I have always loved America but I do not love what Bush and his Arabist State department are doing. He will never win his war on terror as long as he differentiates between Osama , the Iraqis and Palestinians. They are all of one cloth. Does he Gd forbid need another Arab attack on the US. Palestinian terror in the US goes back many years including the murder of Robert Kennedy. Don;t we remember Sirhan Sirhan. He was a Palestinian.. And we also forget that in the early days after the disaster in Oklahoma that an Arab ws seen at the sight. The Palestinians are evil.
8. Daniel Pearl
Yonatan ,   Knoxville, USA   (10.18.05)
Daniel, after spending 8yrs in the Middle East I can tell you from EXPERIENCE you and other Americans have NO idea what is happening there. We need to butt out. And please don't tell me America gets nothing back from Israel for our suppoert. We NEVER give without getting something in return.
9. Daniel, oh Daniel
Daavid ,   USA   (10.18.05)
Don't you know you have to have a brain for it to make sense. I don't believe you have one for you to understand. You use words, Good understanding, Moral responsabilty, Occupation, Palestinian land, Occupier...All those words are part of your warped and antisemitic mind. Does it make sense now...
10. TRAINING TERRORISTS-PEACE AGREEMENTS OF ETERNAL TERROR & WAR
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (10.18.05)
In the never-ending religious terror war against Jews, terrorists receive highly specialized training from the CIA and Britain. Every single one of the Palestinian Authority security services are involved in terrorist attacks against Israel. There were no apologies from the U.S. for the many Jewish deaths and great suffering perpetrated by U.S. trained Khaled Abu Nijmeh. There was no financial compensation for Khaled's many Jewish victims. There was no punishment for serial killer of Jews, Khaled. Khaled, and other terrorists were richly rewarded with long vacations in Europe. Below are parts of an article from www.sfgate.com http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2005/02/14/MNG50BANBE1.DTL Mideast training program backfires Palestinian security officers schooled by U.S. later used tactics against Israel - Matthew Kalman, Chronicle Foreign Service Monday, February 14, 2005 Bethlehem, West Bank -- In June 1998, somewhere near CIA headquarters in Langley, Va., two rows of men in military fatigues posed for their graduation photo. All of them were officers in Palestinian General Intelligence Service, charged with hunting down terrorists and preventing attacks on Israel. They had just completed a training course, paid for by the U.S. government, in which they learned firearms and counterterrorist tactics. But the graduation photo holds a stark warning for the Bush administration as it gets more involved in Middle East peacemaking. Some of the men in the picture later swapped sides and began using the skills they learned in Virginia against the Israelis. Such training courses, which were suspended with the outbreak of the Palestinian uprising in September 2000, will be an integral part of Washington's aid package for the new government of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Standing in the back row, second from the left, is Khaled Abu Nijmeh, from Deheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem, according to two of his colleagues who are also pictured. By 2001, he had become one of the most-wanted Palestinian militants in the city, suspected of involvement in a string of suicide bombings and shooting attacks against Israelis. In May 2002, he was one of 13 gunmen escorted from the Church of the Nativity siege in Bethlehem, flown to Cyprus and then to exile in Europe. Three of the group, including Abu Nijmeh, were given asylum in Italy. "I am a member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and a first sergeant in Palestinian General Intelligence," Abu Nijmeh, now 36, told The Chronicle from his temporary home in Rome. "I personally received a course in antiterrorism and VIP protection. "I was not alone. Many Palestinian security people were trained by the Americans. We hope they will continue helping us." Abu Nijmeh and his 12 comrades will be allowed to return to Bethlehem under the cease-fire agreement reached last week between Israel and the Palestinians. As Israeli commentators had been warning for years, the CIA inadvertently helped train future adversaries -- as it has done in other countries, including the anti-Soviet forces in Afghanistan who ended up as Taliban and al Qaeda militants. "This has proven to be a very risky undertaking," said Israeli political analyst Gerald Steinberg of Bar-Ilan University. "Both the CIA and British efforts to train Palestinians during the Oslo process helped strengthen terrorist capabilities." The training given to hundreds of Palestinian security officials between 1996 and 2000 was sanctioned by a presidential order in 1996 by then-President Bill Clinton, who was deeply involved in peace-making efforts." ©2005 San Francisco Chronicle
11. Israel must not be permitted to win
Marcel ,   Florida   (10.18.05)
The bottom line is; 'Israel must not be allowed to defeat the arabs anymore. . 5times in 5 wars is too much,so Israel must now lose to level the playing field. That is the U.S. Policy as they entrap Israel with their false peace scam Only a strong leader with the guts to tell the U.S. to get lost can pull Israel out of the trap laid to defeat her. Sharon has proven to be too much a coward to stand up to U.S. pressure.
12. The pseudo Daniel Pearl
raykie ,   Israel   (10.18.05)
We in Israel are strong supporters of the USA and therefore you should listen with attention and respect to our views and immediately cease and desist with any action that we disapprove of. We insist that you view the situation in Israel clearly and realise that what you call the humiliation of the Palestinians is a result of attempting to keep them from killing our children.
13. The US has just killed 40 civilians in Iraq.
(10.18.05)
I think their calls for 'restraint' are comically hypocritical. I won't take the American opinion seriously until they stop committing war crimes around the globe. They have destroyed ancient Babylon, and really should worry about their own massive problems, before meddling with other nations that have a much more Democratic, and virtuous history. (Slavery, genocide, imperialism (Pacific Asia mainly), institutionalised discrimination against women/minorities, etc.)
14. Some things have to be overlooked
Chrisona ,   Chicago.IL   (10.18.05)
Part of the "peace process" mentality has always been that Arabs murdering Jews is no obstacle to it. Makes light of the Israeli government's obligation to protect its people, doesn't it?
15. US pressure on Israel not to "over-react"
Dr. Philip Wolfson ,   Tinton Falls, NJ   (10.18.05)
These are the good old days.Once they have their state, the Palestinians will be held fully responsible. If rockets or bullets or bombers are sent to kill Jewish citizens, the area from which they come will be rendered first uninhabitable, then will become part of Israel. They could have had a tiny Israel back in '48 but the stupids keep wanting to provoke Israel to make it bigger. Jewish blood will be getting more expensive, not less.
16. palestinian west bank shootings
Henry B.Morgenstein ,   West Bloomfield, MI   (10.18.05)
It is apparent the Mahmoud Abbas refuses to take steps to disarm Palestinian militants and terrorists. He deplores the killings and does nothing else. He is perfectly happy to have Israel do his dirty work and then complain to the world that Israel is overreacting and is unwu=illing to dialogue. He has to be convinced to do his own dirty work as difficult as that may be for him. Israel must defend its citizens and must continue to build and complete the barrier between the Palestinians and Israel
17. U.S. attempts to curb Israeli response to attack
Michael Cooperman ,   Haddonfield, NJ, USA   (10.18.05)
It would be funny if it weren't so perverse. Three teenagers gunned down by Palestinian terrorists inflicted, yet again, deliberately by Palestinian terrorists. More meaningless condemnations of said action by the Palestinians. And what is the US pressing to have done? A limited set of Israeli measures for her own people's security. Complete nonsense. Who are they negotiating with? The PA = Fatah = Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigades = just another terrorist milita.
18. USA and its role in the Isareli/Arab conflict
C Goldstein ,   Lathrup Village,USA   (10.18.05)
Daniel's reply is extremely misguided.Israel is a sovereign democratic state. It is not the 51st state. Not one state ,or governor, in the USA would tolerate the attitudes and demands of the Bush, Clinton, Bush 1, Eisenhower, or any other leader, or organization that everyone seems to think they can spit out at Israel and its leaders. The constant excuse of the US taxpayers paying and supporting Israel is ill-informed.First of all, unlike Egypt and Jordan, whose billions in debts were EXCUSED, Israel is the only country that is almost entirely paid up on its loans. Furthermore, two thirds of the annual loans remains in the US, because it goes to purchase US weapons. Thus, it provides jobs for the US workers. The US needs Israel at least, if not more than Israel needs the US. Israel is a wealth of intelligence and of knowledge of the Middle East ,and the Arab mind and culture, and in regards to agriculture, the realm of the high-tech economy, and a broad assortment of military innovations, medicine, pharmaceuticals, and on and on and on-including an actual vaccine for Diabetes Type I, Israel is needed by the US and the developing world. It is the Palestinians' tyrannical leadership that has oppressed its people- NOT the Israelis. The land the media keeps insisting is that of the Palestinians was never their land.It belonged to Jordan and Egypt-both illegimately, holding illegal occupations. Immediately, after the Six Day War, Gaza was offered back to Egypt, which had let it become the human pit of the globe, but Egypt refused to take it back.King Hussein, on the other hand , was asked by Golda Meir, not to enter the war that wasamassing, but he decided to throw in with Nassar-and lost. Jerusalem WAS NEVER A CAPITAL of Palestinians. They have no claim, in fact, except what was given during the Oslo Peace Process , because the Clinton administration forced Isreal to give it away while Arafat armed to attack and resume the fighting. No, not one country-not one- has the right to pressure Israel, or Sharon about a thing.Sharon certainly knows the area and the circumstances better than any US individual-ANY. How does a Rice, a Bush, or anyone dare to think they can even approach Sharon-a general, who LED his troops into battle -and won-again and again. No, for the Secretary of State Rice to yell and demand Israel arm and train ANY Palestinian is beyond any definition of sanity. The CIA had trained the PA socalle Security Guards. Not until all killing and terror stops-completely-and the Palestinians live up to their obligations in the Road Map, and recopgnizes Israel's Right to Exist -unequivocally- and throws out the PLO Charter with its goal to drive the Jews into the sea, should the US give one penny after the billions pocketed by Arafat and Fatah. Daniel had better get to the library and start studying, researching, and learn the facts. There is leader that has the right to insist Israel do anything, especially anything that will jeopardize the Israeli People and every Jew in the world. It is time the US listen to those in Israel, who have spent a lifetime fulfilling their vows as leaders of the State to protect the citizens of Israel for 30, 40, 50, 60, years , and not three ,four, years, or a few months as this latest general in Gaza. What could any of them possibly know in the State Department that is more substantive and knowledgeable about Israel than Sharon and Mofaz, Netanyahu, Halutz, etc..? It's proposterous to even think any American would know better. Sorry, Daniel, it is time to do some woodshedding , and if you haven't been to Israel, to go and see what it is about. CS Goldstein
19. Stay The Hell Out Of Israel's Military Responses
Adina kutnicki ,   NJ, US   (10.18.05)
As an American, a zionist and a Republican I think I have something to say about this interference from my gov't. Stay the heck out of Israel's security responses. How dare you interfere when you are dropping (rightfully so) mega bombs on terror hideouts! What is the deal here? US soldiers and US interests are the only ones that matter? A "few" dead Jews don't count for much? I have always been a proud American. However, the way the US powers- to- be are arm twisting Israel is surely making me reconsider my proud feelings. Cut it out because what goes around comes around. Israel has been suffering from 9/11 atttacks way before the US.
20. I'm speechless
Newt   (10.18.05)
And that doesn't happen to me all that often.
21. The arrogance of Daniel Pearl
Newt   (10.18.05)
"We, in the US, have a good understanding of the situation and therefore we have the moral responsibility to weigh in." I've haven't seen this kind of bullshiiite since Clinton was in office. We don't understand ZILCH about the suffering that the Israeli's are enduring. Had the United States been attacked in the same manner as Israel, you can bet that we would have retaliated. "Each and every American tax payer has the right to press the Sharon gov. to cease the humiliation, the killing of the Palestinian population." Well as an American tax payer, I think Sharon should tell the United States to go take a giant leap into lake stupid and defend Israel with everything he has. I'm fed up with Israel continuing to give and the Palestinians giving nothing in return except more death and destruction. They can't even bring law and order to Gaza and YOU want Israel to hand over more land?
22. #4 - Unless your name is really Daniel Pearl, you are a sick

#4 - Unless your name is really Daniel Pearl, you are a sick bastard
23. Transfer the 'Palestinian' Arabs to Arab lands.
MED ,   USA   (10.18.05)
Now that the Road Map is leading nowhere, except to hell, the US should negotiate with the Saudis, Egyptians, Jordanians and other Arab League nations to absorb their 'Palestinian' Arab brethren into their own vast nations. Many of the Arab League nations have rich oil resources that could very well support their own 'Palestinian' Arab brethren. That would leave Israel to live in peace in the land of her ancestors.
24. sham calm, fake peace
alan ,   san francisco   (10.18.05)
Israel expected nothing from the withdrawal from Gaza and got nothing from Abbas who has shown a disinclination to do anything disarm the terrorists. It is therefore incredulous to hear the State Department spokesman talk about restraint for diplomatic reasons. It is hopeless. The PA is a shame and offers a fake peace. Israel is doing exactly the right thing. Stopping terrorist dead in their tracks and cutting off all talks with Abbas. Let's end the pretending folks. In a war against terror, you do not talk to terrorists. You execute justice.
25. #5 Stupid Daavid,
ali   (10.18.05)
If it was not for America your shity little racist Israel will not exist today. Dont bite the hand that feeds you stupid. God bless America
26. USA has a role in the Israel-Palestine conflict
Ibn Muhammad ,   US   (10.18.05)
We, in the US, have a good understanding of the situation and therefore we have the moral responsibility to weigh in. After all, we're a paying together with the EU for everything in the PA. Each and every American tax payer has the right to press the Abu Mazen gov. to cease terrorism, the killing of the Israeli Jewish population. Our president has to increase the pressure more to end the Palestinian terrorism before going to the table to negotiate a peace agreement with the Israelis. It doesn't make sense to me to keep sending billions of dollars to an ineffective government and their cronies.
27. Ali
Jane ,   New York   (10.18.05)
You and all your shitty big racist islamist states should shut up. You people, above all, have not right to open your big, filthy, hate-filled mouths.
28. Ibn Muhammed
Jane ,   New York   (10.18.05)
Thanks for the sanity. That perspective will ultimately help both sides.
29. To occupied Nu Mexico #6 Your words should be set in stone!

New Mexico occupied. Well that is different. (ha ha)
30. U.S. LEADERS PREFER ISLAM FOR AMERICA'S SCHOOL CHILDREN
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (10.18.05)
Drastic changes are taking place in America. U.S. schools, hostile to Christianity and Judaism, are aggressively promoting Islam. Part of article from: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=36118 JUDICIAL JIHAD Judge rules Islamic education OK in California classrooms Dismisses suit opposing requirement students recite Quran, pray to Allah December 13, 2003 © 2003 WorldNetDaily.com Requiring seventh-grade students to pretend they're Muslims, wear Islamic garb, memorize verses from the Quran, pray to Allah and even to play "jihad games" in California public schools has been legally upheld by a federal judge, who has dismissed a highly publicized lawsuit brought by several Christian students and their parents...the suit was filed by the Thomas More Law Center against the Byron Union School District and various school officials to stop the use of the "Islam simulation" materials and methods used in the Excelsior Elementary School in Byron, Calif. The World History and Geography class in question is part of a curriculum being taught to seventh-graders all over the state, and is included in the state's curriculum standards required by the state board of education. Although the standards outline what subjects should be taught and will be included in state assessment tests, they don't mandate how they're to be taught. In the three-week course, Excelsior teacher Brooke Carlin had students assume Islamic names, recite prayers in class, memorize and recite verses from the Quran, and had them simulate Ramadan fasting by going without something for a day. The final test required students to critique Muslim culture. The Islam simulations at Excelsior are outlined in the state-adopted textbook "Across the Centuries," published by Houghton Mifflin, which prompts students to imagine they are Islamic soldiers and Muslims on a Mecca pilgrimage. The lawsuit also alleges students were encouraged to use such phrases in their speech as "Allah Akbar," which is Arabic for "God is great," and were required to fast during lunch period to simulate fasting during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. "While public schools prohibit Christian students from reading the Bible, praying, displaying the Ten Commandments, and even mentioning the word 'God,' students in California are being indoctrinated into the religion of Islam," The Islamic indoctrination of America's school children is a major victory in the war for global Islamic conquest. Part of article from: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=42603 GLOBAL JIHAD Report: Saudis spread hate through U.S. mosques Propaganda against Jews, Christians 'mainstreamed within our borders' January 29, 2005 The 89-page report by Freedom House's Center for Religious Freedom, "Saudi Publications on Hate Ideology Fill American Mosques," concludes the Saudi government propaganda examined reflects a "totalitarian ideology of hatred that can incite to violence." * Various Saudi government publications gathered for the study, most of which are in Arabic, assert it is a religious obligation for Muslims to hate Christians and Jews... * The documents stress that when Muslims are in the lands of the unbelievers, they must behave as if on a mission behind enemy lines. Either they are there to acquire new knowledge and make money to be later employed in the jihad against the infidels, or they are there to proselytize the infidels until at least some convert to Islam..." U.S. leaders declare Saudi Arabia is America's friend and a key ally in the war on terror. As Saudi Arabia incites to hate and jihad against America's Christians and Jews, the U.S. government defining Saudi Arabia as America's friend, strongly indicates the American people have a very grim future ahead of them.
