Avraham ,   Netivot   (10.27.05)
If we can let palestinians with blood on their hands go free to murder & mame again, than the Amir brothers should go free as well. As far as Rabin goes, he committed a terrible against the Jewish people by agreeing to Oslo. Remember it was Rabin who gave the arabs guns.
3. sounds like the way palestinian terrorists talk
mike ,   usa   (10.27.05)
which is why he should stay in jail.
4. Yigal Amir should never see the light of day...
Adam ,   Washington, DC, USA   (10.27.05)
5. Amir a vigilante?
ilan ,   Ariel   (10.27.05)
Sounds pretty ridiculous. I can see the point that Rabin made an error and even see the point that he didn't use legitimate methods (like bribing Gonen Segev), but nothing justifies murder. The only appropriate thing to have done was political protest followed by elections. At the time of the Amir murdered Rabin he was down in the polls and had a doubtful political future. Instead of a change of policy we got a blood libel against an entire public.
6. Yigal Amir
Miriam ,   Israel   (10.27.05)
I believe Yigal Amir was the fall guy for the real murderers of Rabin, may he not rest in peace. After 10 years, he should get a presidential pardon and be released. The way Amir is isolated, is someone afraid of the true story coming out?
7. The monster stays in.
Boaz ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (10.27.05)
And if his brothers want to join him, by all means, let them in.
8. Let Yigal out already...
(10.27.05)
What Rabin did killed thousands!
9. The apple never falls far from the tree
Yonathan ,   Haifa   (10.27.05)
Once again it is proven that Yigal and Hagai Amir did not grow up in a vacuum, their hatred and murderous intentions came about in an environment that nurtured all that. The only difference between these two murderers and the most fanatic among the youngsters that have been and still are violently opposing what is left of the rule of law in the territories is that Y. and H. Amir had the 'courage' to draw the ultimate conclusion of their despicable ideology. By that they have proven that their goals and those of our worst enemies run parallel in more than one way.
10. Amir no worse than half the soldiers in Zahal
accessol ,   Spelthorne, England   (10.27.05)
At least Yigal Amir only killed an old man; the IDF regularly slaughters and maims young children (though you might have to read another newspaper to find out about it). Put all those murdering soldiers who never even saw the inside of a courtroom in prison for the rest of their ugly lives and let Amir go live free with his loving Zionist supporters in the US.
11. Amir
J K ,   NYC, USA   (10.27.05)
Regardless of what one thought of Rabin and what he represented, Amir wasnt the jury and Rabin wasn't on trial. We all love conspiricy theories, but until proven, its just that....a theory. Amir deserves whatever he is getting unless it can be definitively proven he didnt do it.
12. Get these people out of my sight

From his knowledge position in boring Splethorne, he needs to have an opinion about the middle east otherwise it would be just another boring night throwing chip in Macdonalds until dawn
14. murdererous family

Why does Y-net give those lowlives a stage to air their heinous bullshit. Stop reporting about them, let them rot in their own excrements, simply ignore them for the next 200 years!!!!
15. Amir is a terrorist. His mother should be locked up with him

16. Rabin a criminal? A fool? Yes. A traitor? Yes. Dead? Yes.

17. YIgal is probably a pedofile, not a killer
David Rutstein ,   Jerusalem   (10.28.05)
the website yigalamir.com has a funny picture of a smiling picture of Yigal with the rainhbowg, gay flag in the background with the caption Pedofile in the service of the Shabak. look at the Kempler video, we know Yigal shot blanks. I spoke with the Mom and she knows that Yigal did not do it. There is a very big secret.

Actually, we're all going to chip in and get him a ticket to your house, garbage mouth.
19. Rabin was a drunken coward
Mike Barzel ,   Brooklyn   (10.28.05)
and that is why he brought Yasser Arafart into Israel to murder innocent Jews. Free Amir now.
20. who the heck...
someone ,   somewhere   (10.28.05)
made them judge, jury, and executioner. murder is murder period! rabin would NEVER have done what sharon did to get his way. that and i doubt he would do the unilateral concession to terror
21. Not One Comment Addressed The Issue
Shlomo Wollins ,   Sanityville, Israel   (10.28.05)
The issue is not whether killing rabin was right or wrong...in fact, the family is not saying it was right...it is saying that it was wrong, BUT, to murder a criminal should be taken into account in the sentencing/pardoning phase....so let us be clear....what do we feel about the claim itself (not whether or not he should be released). My feelings is that the claim is accurate...that the last 10 years since rabin's murder have shown that the man and his policies were at best delusional & misguided, and at worst, criminal (oslo was negotiated against Israeli law) and suicidal....I am not stating he should be released (this is not the main point here)...the relevant issue for our time is whether rabin's oslo policy was good or bad (and same goes for disengagement which is identical)..in my opinion...Israel is walking the plank on its own power...and has a small chance of survival with current policy/leaders...I don't approve of what he did...but yes, I agree, he killed a suicidal leader following criminal policies...and we cannot bring him back to life, but we surely should not repeat his legacy of foolishness and political retardness which the blood of nearly 2,000 dead Jews cries out in confirmation...this man's release is not relevant..the issue of rabin's political legacy, however, is literally life & death for over 5 million Jews....and like a small dog that bites your leg and will not let go ... the secular left abandon the G-d in Heaven and worship the palsy policies of oslo...the death of rabin was not relevant....the death of his policies is now the issue...rabin has a legacy of Jewish blood...let us erase the policy and avenge the murders...that would somehow redeem his murder...honoring his oslo failures only disgraces whatever achievements he may of had in other areas of his life...as a PM...he was a nation-killer...and let us remember he led the "israeli" troops that fired upon its own brothers in the water after Rabin's troops sunk the Altalena...Jewish death never bothered rabin...and as a result....his death never bothered me...what IS bothersome is the lack of death of his policies....which are the direct cause of the river of blood last 10 years...long die rabin and what he stood for....lest the nation perish along with him....
22. Rabin was looking for a solution
alan ,   san francisco   (10.28.05)
Rabin in 1977 rejected both Arafat's extermination policy against Israel and Begin's proposal to give autonomy to Arabs living in the West Bank and Gaza. In his Memoirs, he wrote that a Palestinean entity ought to include the 700000 Palestineans living in Jordan, because Jordan was part of the British Mandate. King Hussein supported this idea but the Arab Leauge shut him up. If only Rabin's 1977 idea had been implemented. Rabin was a patriot and a hero. The desecration of his name cannot be looked upon favorably from heaven.
23. people in the know
Yisraeli   (10.28.05)
know that Rabin was totally unreliable. He was in name only. '67 war where do you think he was? He was always a weak man, just pushed to the limelight to serve others interests. There talk of during the oslo process he saw the terrible dangers of it and tried to backtrack but 'they' wouldnt have it, too much business interests at stake. Ever wondered why Leah Rabin wouldnt speak to Peres 1 word since the assasination? Listen we sheep think we may know the truth, but in reality we 'know' only that which 'they' want us to know. Many many times its not as it seems. Citizens are blinded and hoodwinked all the time. Theres always much we are never supposed to know with whats behind the scenes. and this rabin affair is no exception. so please dont rile yourself up getting all emotional about what you 'think' you know to be the truth. coz your only playing into theyre hands. Get wise!
24. Amir is a murderer
raykie ,   Israel   (10.28.05)
Whatever you think of Rabin and his policies, he was Prime Minister of Israel and represented us. There is a simpler way than murder to get rid of a politician and that is by voting him out. Killing Rabin was treason because Amir murdered not only the individual but also the PM of the country . This is unforgiveable.
25. #2 single standard
michael ,   Haifa   (10.28.05)
so by your standard, if I believe that you and your co-fascists are a danger to the State of Israel, I have the right to kill you ?
26. Our souls didn't shed a tear ...
Jews killed-maimed ,   All over Israel   (10.30.05)
....for rabin. It was rabin and his policies/agreements with the sworn enemies of the Jews (read: arabs) that caused me and my brethren to die needlessly. He, rabin, was the direct cause of so many of us losing limb and life. To empower, finance, and arm with lethal weapons the entity known as 'palestinian', thereby emboldening, & enabling it, to implement its venomous aims - - is a crime of the highest order. It is not an issue of left-wing, right-wing, for the enemy does not distinguish between the two. The enemy sees only a Jew. We in heaven call for Yigal Amir to walk as a free man. Yigal is not, and has never been, a threat; not to society and not to political leaders. Free Yigal Amir !
27. Shameful
Yoav Ben Zakai ,   Dimona, Israel   (10.31.05)
Shame and more shame!! Yigal commited murder and he should pay for his crime. No matter how much you might disagree with Rabin, as a DEMOCRATICALLY elected leader of the State of Israel, he did what he thought was best, even if that is open to debate, its another issue. His family should shut up and be glad that their murderous son wasn't tried on a dam b'dam 'ayin b'ayin basis and thank their G-d they live in Israel.
28. Amir family: Rabin was a criminal
Jacques Tremblay ,   Canada   (11.10.05)
You don't have death penalty in Israel. If so I think the life sentence for Amir is a gift and he should complain as is still alive
29. Rabin Rots in Hell Free Amir NOW! (end)
Ariel ,   Jerusalem, Judea   (11.14.05)
30. Who gained the most out of Rabin's murder?
Michael Dar ,   Tel Aviv   (09.25.07)
No doubt the leftists, the so-called peace movements and foreign masters and supporters.. They managed by Rabin's assassination to demonizing the whole Israeli-political right and put that dying Oslo deceit on life-support. We citizens of Israel were intitled to know the truth about it, which was virtually and intentionally withheld from us by the "system"... to many questions remained unanswered...which makes Rabin's assassination suspect..perhaps even an orchestrated plan by the left and their masters.
