1. PRESENT DAY HATRED FOR ISRAEL PROPHESIED IN BIBLE
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (10.28.05)
Thousands of years ago, the Bible which is completely accurate, foretold of this present day hatred of Israel and the desire to wipe Israel off the map: Psalm 83: "...Your enemies make an uproar, and those who hate You have exalted themselves. They make shrewd plans against Your people, and conspire together against Your treasured ones. They have said, "Come and let us wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more." For they have conspired together with one mind; against You they make a covenant..." The Bible makes it clear that this hatred is for G-D. The great, the mighty, and the awesome G-D Who gave His laws to Moses. In future years, G-D will give great victory to Israel.

3. As I said before
J K ,   NYC, USA   (10.28.05)
At least Ahmadinejad is a man of his word and doesnt try to obfiscate. I believe him when he says that he wants to wipe Israel off the map. This is the 2nd time he is saying this in an open forum to all the world. If the UN doesnt censure his country or do anything of actual consequence, it will only solidify its worthlessness (again, probably). In the end, the mullahs probably wont let him act on it, but its good to know where our neighbors stand. If only Sharon would listen to IJ and Hamas as much.
4. 1933 back in the Middle East...
Hiram ,   Tel Aviv   (10.28.05)
I have known for having travelled the last 35 years in the middle East that some countries such as Iran were living in an other age...Unable to face the reality of 21st century , the dictator Mahmoud ( yes, the man without a tie at UN) manages his hoodlum state with his pasdaran like Hitler managed Germany in the days of the SA ( for those of you , young kids who do not know history) There is no good dictatorship, and sooner or later, they end up in a bloodbath. The West must not make the same mistakes as it did in 1933...the West must react...strongly, with intelligence, with honesty, with cleanliness. International politicians ( French , British, Germans so cite a few ) bear a heavy responsability in today's situation. No one, not even for Oil , should maintain trade relations with any country in which rights of man are not strictly maintained and protected. There are countries and political leaders who understand nothing else besides brutal force short of cleaning up their acts. Iran under the Islamic Republic has been such a country since the days of the first public hangings when chief Hoodlum Khoneyni , self appointed Islamic guru, returned from his golden exile in France. Antyhing remotely connected with Palestinianism and the name of Allah is a threat to reason, civilisation, and the future of the area. We are NOT talking about politics there we are talking about religious war. Mahmoud is a savage beast imposing upon the vast majority of Iranian people the same kind of propaganda which was set up by the infamous Joseph Goebbels serving his master Fuehrer Adolf. (Hitler had a moustache, Mahmoud has a beard !) What Mahmoud, like other Islamists cannot accept is simply the economic growth of the west while Islamic nations enjoy only crisis after crisis....and again, the Jews are held responsible for the Islamic incompetence at running state affairs in line with the international community. There are numerous similarities between 1933 Germany and 2005 Iran, including a deep economic crisis which ease up motivating people to support the dictator. For the time being that is, as we all know that soon, food will be lacking in Iran........I have no knowledge of any Islamic leader having brought his country into the light. Iran will be no different.....it is just a matter of time and also depends on who will have enough intelligence to set up a cover operation, which surprisingly could well come from....inside !
5. Iran
rami ,   london   (10.28.05)
This is the time to gauge the response of the international communinity. If Israel does not see concrete support in the form of action against Iran then Jews internationally must understand we are on our own. We should act accordingly for the safety of our country and people everywhere.
6. just imagine if they spent this energy on useful things
Howard ,   Pacific Coast, USA   (10.28.05)
Gee, they sure spend a lot of time, money, thought and energy trying to stir up more hatred. Suppose (gasp!) they had instead put all of this effort into rescuing their fellow Muslims dying in Pakistan, or into making peace, or into fixing their own screwed up economy and helping their own poor. Any of these alternatives would save more lives in one year than have been lost in 5 years of intifadah, and probably more lives than Palestinians and Israelis have ever lost at each others' hands. Instead, Iran wastes all of that time, money, thought and energy trying to inflame a low-intensity conflict that is truly none of their business. Just putting this in perspective....
7. G-D'S FUTURE JUDGMENTS ON ISRAEL'S ENEMIES
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (10.28.05)
Bible: Joel 3: "I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land."

David ,   Karmiel   (10.28.05)
I have heard that before. Maybe the President of Iran has forgotten what happened to the "Great Pharaoh" of Egypt. The last plague a nasty one. They already have the Darkness one.

May it be his last words.
17. Akiva's Laugh
akiva ,   chicago   (10.28.05)
R. Akiva laughed when he saw the ruins of the Beth Ha Mikdash. He said that since we saw the fulfillment of the prophecies of destruction, we would also see Moshiach. We will live to see Iran destroyed.

19. of course he stands by his remarks
mike ,   usa   (10.28.05)
and, of course, other muslim countries are silent in condemning it. very telling (for those who have refused to listen before now). and people wonder why america took the war on terror to the heart of the middle east. not all muslims are terrorists but the vast majority of them have these same sentiments.
20. Iran - a danger not only to Israel
Aharon ,   Israel   (10.28.05)
Iran is not only Israel's problem. If its radical regime obtains a nuclear weapon, many Arab leadres in the Persian Gulf will have sleepless nights. Iran's military aspirations go far beyond than achieving the genocide of Israel's Jews. Iran's terrorists are scattered around the globle, waiting for a command to fulfill the obligation of Jihad. Their intention is to sow death, destruction and fear in any place that does not live according to their radical religious school of thought. I call on people, with no relation to religion, political opinion, or whatsoever, to unite in a war for toppling that evil regime. The free world needs it, as well as the Iranian people.

22. Iranian president standing behind statements
robin ben-chaim ,   israel   (10.28.05)
Iran pretty much declared war on Israel. I don't think any of the world's reactions are anywhere near strong enough, and strangely, the Muslim world is silent.
23. big surpise!
Anthony ,   London   (10.29.05)
This issue has dominated world press for a few days now and every Western country has condemned it. Im surprised such a fuss was made: Islamic countries have long called for the anihilation of Israel and the Arabs tried many times to actually bring this about. You only need to look at Hamas' website to see that those guys call for our destruction. What exactly is new here?
24. Graham
Sheik yur Bouti ,   Eurabia   (10.29.05)
Hard to attract capable people for positions of leaderships in Fascist states these days. Seems like Iran managed to elect a real charmer this time. Way to go Iran. Keep this up, you may just get nuked!
25. Why is it strange Robin?
Newt   (10.29.05)
"I don't think any of the world's reactions are anywhere near strong enough, and strangely, the Muslim world is silent." The world's reactions are strong because it's not the world who is being threatened. Once these animals threaten the world, then you will see the world leaders grow a spine and fight back. You're surprised that the Muslim world has remained silent? Not me.
