1. What is his point?
ilan ,   Ariel   (10.30.05)
That bribery is ok if done over a longer period of time? That bringing in armed terrorists (who ultimately killed thousands of citizens) is ok if you can find a technicality in some other agreement? Time to bury the mistakes of Oslo along with those who made it possible.
2. So I was wrong.
Ernie Moore ,   USA   (10.30.05)
For a long time now, I like, apparently, many Israelis believed that the Israeli government provided Arafat’s so-called policemen with weapons. Now comes an op-ed piece by Eitan Haber refuting that. So I was wrong, already! Here's where I was right:: It was insanity of the highest degree to bring Arafat and his terrorist thugs back to Israel in the first place. Peace, Peace when there is no peace! Forget who agreed (it seems from reports this year that even Sharon lobbied for it behind the scenes. Was he ever really a conservative?) bringing the PLO in was still wrong. Not one bullet, not one rifle, and in our opinion, not one Arafat or his minions.
3. So, what you want !!!Eitan Haber
Michael Menashe ,   Israel   (10.30.05)
What is you point! you mean to say give more gun because we give not yet even one !!! or "try to hide the truth through one trick call campaign changing opinion through new media" we now in 2005 era not 1119 sorry !
4. Shame on you
Cordier   (10.30.05)
Two points : - YOU let armed terrorists to come to Palestine. These men have killed and wounded thousands of jews - YOU accepted the votes for Oslo of two members of knesset elected with a far right platform with one who is now accused of drug trafficking (Gonen Segev). Votes which have been surely (if i read you well) bought. and you dare to tell us "yes we did it and so, sharon has done the same ?" If this country is sane you have to be judged for it !!!
5. No, shame on you and yours #4
Dore ,   Tel Aviv   (10.30.05)
These people at least tried to end this rollercoaster of killings and counter killings not like your lot who say lets carry on with this killing fest for all eternity
6. question to N°5
cordier   (10.31.05)
a crime is a crime even in the name of peace. It is just easy to bribe, to lie, to conduct harshly.... and to say "my intentions were good i am a peace lover" !!!... Are you a democrat ???
7. Haber's half-truths
Michael Greengard ,   Holon, Israel   (10.31.05)
1. Begin never agreed to a Palestinian state. This is simply untrue 2. What was obscene about the Oslo agreements was allowing the terrorists to create an organized armed force and bring more terrorists from Tunis, etc. in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. Thousands of Israelis paid for their lives for that act. What does it matter that Israel didn't actually supply the arms? 3. Kahalani and Zisman broke ranks because Labor violated its own platform by agreeing to give the Golan back to Syria. They received no ministerial positions. How can this be compared to what narcotics-smuggler Segev and Goldfarb did for ministerial positions? 4. Just what is the nine months that passed between the bribing of Segev and Goldfarb and the vote on the Oslo 2 agreements supposed to prove? Haber is merely attempting to confuse the issue by raising trivial points.
8. #5, for you

The road to hell is paved with good intentions, buddy, the ends do not, in fact, justify the means.
