1. I agree with Defense Minister Mr. Mofaz

there is a very direct line between the murder of Prime Minister Mr. Rabin and what is happening today (attacks against officers of our IDF). The lack of respect that some (not all) right wingers are showing against the State of Israel, the duly elected officials of the State of Israel and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) is appalling. But most of all it causes my heart great sadness because so very close after the High Holidays Jews (good and true orthodox Jews) are defiling The Law by attacking their brothers and in so doing focusing themselves on baseless hatred. for sorrow I cry out, for shame my heart is pained because of your actions my brothers and sisters. please stop.

3. A lesson in Orwellian memory

Suddenly a new history is being created of Rabin, Oslo and Amir's assasination of Rabin. Gillion promotes a version of events where Raviv doesn't exist and the blame lies in the "Rabbis". Mofaz tries to add to this Orwellian narative by claiming the same nexus exist today. This is worse than nonsense. The only parallel between now and ten years ago lies in the anti-democratic methods, disguised as "law and order" of two similarly corrupt governments. They want to silence the opposition any way possible.
