1. Why leave out the details?
JP ,   Israel   (11.01.05)
Efrat Weiss (or her editors) left out the important detail of the crude brutality of the Hatuel murders "in a terrorist attack," that are a key part of this story. The Hatuels didn't die in suicide bombing or Kassam rocket attack. They were killed when Palestinians fired on their car, then walked up to the vehicle and pumped bullets at point blank range into the mother and four little girls as they sat either dead or dying. Knowing the sheer brutality and butchery by Palestinian terrorists will strengthen the readers' perception of how remarkable a person David Hatuel must be.
2. As horrible as the murders were, Judaism stands for life and

he has a right to again have joy in his life. Nothing can erase the horror of what happened but surely his family would not want him destroyed as they were by the irrational barbarian terrorist scum so full of evil that they could put a gun to the head of a child and pull the trigger.

Your great courage will never be forgotten! The precious Jews of Jewish Gaza built everything on land that NEVER belonged to Arabs. Strong, wonderful Jewish communities. Israeli leaders allowed THOUSANDS of rockets to rain down on Jewish Gaza and did next to nothing. G-D performed many miracles for Gaza's Jews. Time after time G-D saved their lives. A book must be written about these miracles testifying to the power and mercy of G-D! The Jews lived surrounded by hostile, hate-filled enemies who sought to murder these Jewish innocents. The great courage and love and obedience to G-D of these Jews will never be forgotten. G-D commanded Jews to live in ALL of the land of Israel. These Jews placed their lives on the line every hour of every day in order to obey G-D. G-D will honor that obedience.

Congratulations and well done, despite the fact that It was a major error in the first place to take your family into occupied land. They have paid a terrible price....I am happy that you are now living in Ashkelon. The west bank and Gaza is Palestinian occupied land. Take care,

Only a moron would assume that a person is entitled to a death sentence simply because he is located in a place where someone else thinks he shouldn't be. Now that that's established, the rest of your words find their proper context.

I cannot begin to say how uplifted I was to read about David Hatuel's new lease on life. The tragedy that befell him is beyond compare. If anyone deserves happiness it is this man. On a personal level I am also thrilled that my cousin Rabbi Dov Begon's school, Machon Meir, hosted this event. In addition, my son was serving as a volunteer IDF combat soldier when the Hatuel family was massacred. This assasination wounded him to the depths of his soul. It gave him a renewed sense of urgency and purpose as to why he volunteered in the first place - to fight the genocidal Arab terrorists. May he and his soon to be bride live a long and happy life. I am sure his "Tali" is watching over him.
