1. A young soldier dies..
hiram ,   tel aviv   (11.02.05)
..and I feel a lot of anger, not even knowing this young man whose parents must be devastated... I know that through the next few posts, some "anonymous writers" will probably rejoice at his death, hiding behind the "courage" of being anonymous and therefore being able to deliver hatred for the sake of hating, that they will probably celebrate the killing of one of the "zionist ennemy" but this is not so much what angers me as I know that second class animals, not even worth being a part of Noah's Ark, can only rejoice over an Israeli soldier's death , so no surprise... What angers me is that some of our own people, some " brave kids " as I have read on these columns, some religious gurus totally blinded by archaism , some plain Israelis, have deliver countless attacks against the IDF in the recent weeks from their houses, their offices, nicely tucked away in the safety of United States, Canada, or even Europe. This kid died for OUR protection, for protecting the braves, the idiots, the corrupt Israeli politicians, the crook from the Kabbalah center, the extreme right wingers, the shopkeepers in Shuk Ha Carmel, the todlers who play on Tel Aviv beaches and even the russian maffiosis. I will for my part maintain 3 minutes of silence today in the memory of this young soldier which I dont even know.
2. Did they use loudspeakers?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (11.02.05)
In the discussion of the "alerting via neighbor" decision the army said that the alternative of announcing their presence by loudspeaker would mobilize adjacent terrorists to fire on the forces during their operation. DID THAT HAPPEN IN THIS CASE?

4. Yea, there should be a law:

5. Never had the chance.....
Y. ,   Israel   (11.02.05)
Another child's life was taken becasue we are surrounded by animals. I came to this country and tried to be open to hearing both sides of the story. I know that hate only perpetrates hate and I don't consider myself a person that could ever "hate" or wish harm to another human being. That being said, most of us know that Palestinians are not humans. They are cattle, animals, scum of the earth. No one wants them, not even their own "brothers". There will never be peace with such creatures and I wish on them the worst of curses, the worst of the bible. I am not afraid of them, nor is any Israeli. You can come to our land (its ours not yours) and you can act like the garbage that you are and terrorize people but in then end you will lose. I just have one question for palestinians....how does it feel to be unwanted by EVERYONE in the world. You can use the excuse that you want Israel only but the truth is if any other arab country would have you, you would have gone butNO ONE wants you. How does it feel to know that you are sub-human? That whether you live or die is really inconsequential to anyone in the world? NO ONE CARES!!! Just curious..... TO the family of this brave soldier, i wish my deepest condolences. I am so sorry that you had to lose someone who seems so amazing. But it was not in vain. Maybe 10,000 palestinians die for every tear you cry. Amen.
6. Sacrifice Israel's Best
Marcel ,   Florida   (11.02.05)
It's sad to hear Israel losing it's best and all for this phony peace scam which ties Israel hands and weakens her. All of these intifada birthed terrorists could have been flushed down the toilet years ago if the U.S had not tied Israel hands and forced a fake peace down it''s throat. Will Israel get it over with and once and for all defeat the jihad which threatens her ?
7. PRECIOUS IDF SOLDIER DIES DEFENDING ISRAEL
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (11.02.05)
Yonatan's death is a great loss. My condolences to his family and friends. The Jews and Israel have given the world so much. It is impossible to ever repay all that the Jews have given to the world. May all of G-D's blessings and protection be on every IDF, every Jew, and Israel forever.
8. no lull
steven ,   france   (11.02.05)
If these MURDERING THUGS,think that they can speak on behalf of the palestinian people, they are barking up the wrong tree. What arrogance,Their referring to free murders and killings,by suicidebombers,as Palestinian resistance,is nothing short of blatent arrogance;and I am sure that the palestinian people,do not view these thugs as their saviours, all their misfotunes ,are because of these groupes of terrorists,Israel has left Gaza, the Palestinians should be getting on with their lives, with education, building buisneses ,becoming a resposible nation, but ,unfortunately;these murdering thugs are preventing them from doing so.So until the Palestinians get out from under these wings of terror,Israels right to counterattack will be as legitimit,as the very right for the palestinians to continue,to live as they wish, without pressure from the HAMAS AND al aqsa etc etc.
9. Another hero
H.L. Tobin ,   Barnet U.K.   (11.02.05)

10. Blood on Sharon's fat animal paws.

but one has to wonder what a long range missle warfare unit was doing in a built up area? This is a job for Duvdevan or the Shayetet. I really feel this brave young mans death could have been avoided if his unit was sent to do jobs that they are trained to do instead of being sent on missions that they are not properly trained for just to boost the CO's ego and prestige.
12. May God comfort the Family amongst the Mourners of Zion

13. Take one from the PA Playbook
Shai ,   Israel   (11.03.05)
The PA calls for "a law of return". It speaks of Jerusalem as its capitol. It calls Israel's government a "state sponsor of terror". Basically, whatever we have, they turn it and use it themselves. So, let's take one from their playbook. Let's call him a "martyr" for dying to protect innocent people. That's the way the word should be used, and any normal person will then cringe even more when Pals use the word for their terrorists who blow themselves up amongst us.
