1. I'm surprised that Yediiot gave you space
Ilan ,   Ariel   (11.02.05)
For once I'm pleasantly surprised. The shutting down of dissenting views is the standard behavior of the Israeli media, but this time Ynet has come through and given the public the option of hearing the "other".
2. Hmmmmmmmmmm
Secular Sabra ,   Israel   (11.02.05)
Funny but I remember the settlers singing and dancing when the news of the murder first reached the public. Don't the settlers always follow what their Rabbi tells them to do ???? Then there was the Brooklyn Jews who thought it was the next best news to the coming of the messiah . About other key participants in this drama : a whole gallery of zealots, radical rabbis, and yeshiva teachers . What about the incitement ? and most of all the din rodef and din moser ???? What about Rabbis Abraham Hecht and Herbert Bomzer ???? Read this book : Murder in the Name of God: The Plot to Kill Yitzhak Rabin, by Michael Karpin and Ina Friedman BTW .. we will never forgive any of you for his murder... you were all responsable ... all of you religious zealots.... especially the Khanists !!
3. Product of his environment
Ron ,   Rishon   (11.02.05)
Yigal Amir was the product of his environment. The town of Herziliya should be burned to the ground for creating such a monster. There is no doubt that if Amir came from a different town, or a settlement, he wouldn't have turned out the way he did. Herziliya created this monster.

Lone wolfs are rarely pillars of wisdom acting on their own political conclusions. As with all other gamelians, the islamic killers led by conceptual Satanic Surah 9:5 of the Quran "Kill all infidels wherever you find them", the Zion-nazzi killer of Rabin was nurtured and abbetted by the teachings and exortations rabied rabbis of the right. Bet on it!
5. To # 1
Secular Sabra ,   Israel   (11.02.05)
I suggest you try making a comment to any article on Arutz 7 's English website . They have no free speach there at all . Anything that does not take the right-wing religious view point ,or try to answer some of their outrages lies about Israeli society, is trashed. That's because it is run and controlled by Russians and American religious fanatics.... and NOT by your average normal secular Israeli ... like here :)
6. Note: murder of non-jews is neither condemned nor prohibited
This Rabbi ,   is a racist!   (11.02.05)
7. #5 As if NRG or Haaretz are better?
ilan ,   Ariel   (11.02.05)
This site allows more nonsense than some other sites which is better than selective censoring. A7 has it's spectrum and Haaretz has theirs. I'm philosophical about it. They own the sites and therefore they get to set the policy. I figure that A7 is less to the right than Haaretz is to the left, but I'm just your normal dati leumi Israeli.
8. #6 : Thou shalt not kill!
Michael ,   SF,California   (11.03.05)
Bro, You obviously missed one of the most important things about the Jewish religion. Moses received the 10 commandments at Mt. Sinia from G-d himself. Amongst the commandments was the commandment: #6 THOU SHALT NOT KILL Taken as written, it implies not Murdering another human being. I don't know of any rabbis who interpret it to mean it is ok to kill other than to execute criminals. I attend an orthodox minyan here in the SF bay area. None of the Rabbis have ever condoned killing or invading others, yet they believe that Israel must stand strong against those who seek to destroy her. I certainly support that effort. Judaism is a great and wonderful religion, the only religion which properly seeks to understand and commune with the creator of the universe. I have looked at other so called religions and come to my conclusion. I was away from Judaism for 20 years before returning. I don't know why secular israelis exist. It is an oxymoron to me... Israel is the land of G-d, yet the gays and the immoral want to make it a secular country... Israel only wants to exist in peace, without being forced to change... Israel has no intention of invading surrounding countries, killing them, or obliterating them... Michael
9. Peres danced, settlers didn't
Mordechai ,   Boca Raton   (11.03.05)
I can't believe the libel the settlers danced when Rabin was assasinated was posted here. It didn't happen. The assasination of Rabin was a disaster for his opponents. I'm sure by now he would have repented from Olso. However it was a great thing for the left and Peres. After all it was the only way Peres could be Prime Minister, he can't win an election.
10. Thou shalt not kill - correction
Bro ,   Brooklyn   (11.03.05)
Actually the correct translation is "Do not Murder". There are plenty of times that Killing is permissible in the Torah. Amalek, Ir Miklat, war, self-defense...
11. Dear Rabbi Rosen
Micha ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.03.05)
Dear Rabbi,I would like to believe that there was no rabbinical influence in the murder of Rabin. However, after 30 years of hanging around Yeshivot and listening to rabbis and yeshiva students, I am convinced that extreme and fanatical religious values, tainted with racist ideology, have permeated much of the religious Jewish world. I have never heard a rabbi advocate political murder. However, as any experienced educator knows, there is such a thing as a hidden curriculum. Impressionable young yeshiva students are regularly indoctrinated with ideas that can be quite frightening to an educated and thinking person. The combination of religion and nationalism can be a dangerous mixture.
