1. protest
Reuben B.Y. ,   milan, Italy   (11.03.05)
More than 15,000 partecipated. The newspaper that organized the event is in no way affiliated with PM Silvio Berlusconi, althout it shares similar political views. All main political parties were present (only the communist and extreme right wing were absent). One-of-a-kind event in Italy which counts of a Jewish Community of not even 50,000 people.
2. molto bravo

3. The true face of Iran
Aharon ,   Israel   (11.03.05)
The true face of Iran, regarding Israel, has been exposed by the Iranian president. 60 years have passed since the end of the Holocaust, and the world is once again reminded that the desease of anti-Semitism is still alive and threatening Jews. The declerations of Iran that it has no attention to attack any other country is, of course, a pure lie. In a military parade, that's been held in Iran not long ago, one could see Shihab missiles with a writing on them in three languages: Persian, Arabic and English: "meant for Israel." The words of Iranian president against Israel, who views the Jewish state as an evil stronghold of the West, should alarm any person who cares about the right of all people to live as they wish. Iran's efforts for achieving nuclear weapons are not only for wiping israel off the map, but for strengthening its military power, in its war of Jihad (holy war) against anything that smells Western or freedom.
4. shame!!
PAUL ,   Paris   (11.03.05)
shame on jews of Paris..yesterday we were only 4 thousand protesters in front of the Mollah embassy in Paris..rainning weather don't explain all..Jews of France are the most important number of Europa..and may be the less courageous?
5. Tears of Joy to My Eyes!

6. Israel Terror
Mike ,   UK   (11.04.05)
Israel is really the one to blame for all the instabilty in the region.Iran will never attack Israel while Israel thinks day and night on how to attack Iran. Iran simply talks about the action that they gonna take if they've been attacked by Israel.Just aquick reminder that Israel had attacked the nuclear reactor in Iraq in 1982. I think it is a matter of time before Israel attacks Iran but Israel MUST know the consequences of this terrorist act if it tries it....
7. Grazie Italia, con amore...
Doron ,   Naharia, Israel   (11.04.05)
Thank you Italy! It is so heartwarming to see a civilized country speak up for civilization.
8. Bravo.
Ciara ,   Australia   (11.04.05)
9. re:shame
Reuben ,   Milan, Italy   (11.04.05)
Paul, this is not a ''race''. I would rather say kol hakavod to you guys that did it one day before your italian cousins! Am echad be-lev echad!
10. Viva Italia
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.04.05)
Viva Italia! Bellissimo!
11. Italy Rally for Israel
jerry ,   L.A / U.S.A   (11.04.05)
Iran is digging it's own hole deeper and deeper, there time is coming, I don't think that they are leaving the free world with any alternative. The free world needs to take serious decision on what to do next
12. Kol ha kavod l'Italia
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (11.04.05)
Molto respect for Italy. The greatest country in Europa!! Viva Italia!!
13. Peace NOW...Beit Selem.....look!
Gali ,   Rome   (11.04.05)
This is how real Jews behave. Far from your shores real Jews and their supporters speak out for Israel. While you protest 'against' your country giving aid to those who destroy the lives of your family, friends and neighbors, real Jews showed you a thing or two. I have never been more proud of them and less proud of you.
14. "Italian Ambassador in Tehran SUMMONED"
Mack ,   United States   (11.04.05)
In reaction, Italian Reforms Min Calderoli called "for recalling Italy's ambassador to Tehran", and called the Iranian leaders "... people who have shown themselves to be UNCIVILIZED." The unmitigated audacity of the Iranian regime betrays its intentions. Iran is the MOST dangerous threat facing the civilized world today, not just Israel but every Western country. God bless Israel, Italy and all of us on the side of good.
15. Italy's protest against Iran's president
Joseph Alexander Nor ,   Ottawa, Ontario, Can   (11.04.05)
I write as a non-Jewish Canadian and a supporter of Israel. The rallies in Italy are heart-warming indeed, but where are Israel's supporters elsewhere? France, the UK and the US have large groups who support Israel, yet they are silent. As for Canada, she is too left-wing for anything good to happen here.
16. 2/3 of Europeans say Israel is #1 threat to world’s security
V ,   Houston   (11.04.05)
As was shown in a poll about 2 years ago.
17. Mikerev lev todah!!
Michael Steiner ,   Praha, EU   (11.04.05)
This is simply beautiful--it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you to all our Italian friends. It's so nice to see REAL friends who have no ulterior motives in supporting us. And let us hope signor Landolfi's message is taken note of, too: "[There] is the need of Israel and Palestine to live peacefully side by side as separate states. I believe this is possible." Kol hakavod!
18. For Gali
Yonathan ,   Haifa   (11.04.05)
First of all, kol hakavod to all those who attended the rally in Rome. On the other hand, I think living in Israel, serving in the army AND protesting against the occupation and other less kosher sides of Israel's policies is a better and more Zionist way of showing solidarity and concern for Israel's wellbeing than living thousands of kilometers away and participating in this or that pro-Israel demonstration. It is interesting to see that so many of the anti-Israeli-Left and more extreme 'pro-Israel' voices on websites such as this one are expressed by Jews who for one reason or another ( I am not judging anybody ) choose to stay where they are, rather than do the right thing as a Zionist by coming here to join Jews like me ( left/rightwing, whatever ) who drew the ultimate conclusion from their being Zionist, or who have lived here all their lives. There is nothing wrong with living abroad as a Jew, but loudly expressing anti-Palestinian and anti-Israeli-Left opinions does not turn you or anybody else into a better Zionist ( or a more 'real Jew': don't make me laugh ) than I am.
19. Grazie Italia (I'm speechless)
Howard ,   Pacific Coast, USA   (11.04.05)
Given that Israel's enemies are the principle backers of global terrorism, this was a dangerous thing to do. But these absolutely wonderful people refused to be intimidated. This was an amazing, beautiful and courageous response. I am literally without words. To all who participated in this, thank you. We love you.
20. Thank You Italy!
Sarah ,   Crossville, TN. USA   (11.04.05)
How it warms my heart to see other countries rally to our side! See how much we are loved??? Baruch Hasem! Bless you Italy!
21. I was there
miriam t. ,   rome Italy   (11.04.05)
Yesterday i was there. It was great, very speciale you are not alone.
22. Roam
Baruch Kahn ,   Kiryat-Malachi   (11.04.05)
Viva L'Italia, Bravo!, I miei complimenti
23. To Yonathan from Haifa
Daavid ,   USA   (11.04.05)
Who said that if someone lives abroad did not serve in The IDF or did not fulfill his obligation to the state of Israel . It is because of people like you who are tolerated by the government that drives others away. Your constant need to be loved by the enemy is compromising your thoughts and values
24. Ferrara
gigilatrottola ,   New York   (11.04.05)
editors, readers and online staff: here you are all forgeting one crucial point: All the best congratulations for all the pople who adehered to the rally and partecipated, but rather than saying ''Viva l'Italia" we should be saying "Viva Ferrara!" Giuliano Ferrara is the director of a local italian newspaper "Il Foglio" and he is the greatest friend of Israel that we can count on in the entire state of Italy. He exposed himself, his paper as a friend of a jewish people and a friend of Israel. His love for israel is a pure love, not dictated by religion or convinience. Kol ha-kavod. Toda Chaver. Pictures and video of the march are available at: www.corriere.it Ps for the ynetnews.com staff -->you should add a picture of Ferrara within the article. People should see who is this great man.
25. Viva HUNGARY too :-)
Gabor ,   Budapest, Hungary   (11.04.05)
In Budapest we also had a pro-Israel rally in front of Iranian Embassy. Despite of working hours, many people went into the streets. Hugarian Foreign Ministry called in the Iranian ambassador in order to protest officially against their presidents anti-Israeli statements.
26. to no.4
Adil ,   london   (11.04.05)
Do not feel ashamed most jews got important jobs to do . I think the number of people who demostrated were enough. But whoever participated should get double Blessing Amen
27. To #25
Danny ,   Israel   (11.04.05)
Ok then, Viva Hungary too! All support is appriciated. It really is heart warming :D
28. Kol Hakavod
Arieh ,   Guelph, Canada   (11.04.05)
Yasher ko'ach to everyone who participated in a rally anywhere in support of Israel. It is a shame that a world leader like Iran's feels that it is appropriate to say what he did and not fear consequences. To Mike from the UK, Israel has a response system, not an attack first one. It has been IDF policy for as long as Israel has existed. Israel has never initiated any of her wars, and will not start one with a nuclear power. To 'V' from Houston, who is apparently ashamed to show his/her own name, that information is dated. More recent polls show that internationally, views against Israel have significantly decreased since leaving Gaza. Do you not realize that even after Israel has given land that they won and kept through all of the wars (since '67 I believe) to the Palestinians for peace, that there are still people who want Israel to be annihilated? There are still suicide bombings, kassam missile launches and mortar shell firings into Israel from extremists in Palestinian controlled areas. Israel IS NOT a threat to world security, but those who oppose her existance are.
29. Arieh #28...
Yonatan ,   Knoxville, Tn. USA   (11.04.05)
Don't pay any attention to Mike, and V... They get their information from the Ku Klux Klan press...LOL!!! I've seen their ignorant garbage before.
30. #15
Yoni ,   Kfar Saba   (11.04.05)
We will take our heroes anywhere we can get them. Having said that, many Jews were duped into thinking Bush and company was a true supporter of Israel and now we see different. I have to tell you the masses have awoken. We trust few these days. Yet we still remain heartwarmed from those who really care. Everyone has abandoned Israel even the right who says nothing about Bush knifing Israel. So a few hundred here and a few hundred supporters there shows some have courage and conviction and most of all balls. I thank them all.
