Michael Steiner ,   Praha, EU   (11.05.05)
With this one gesture, these ordinary Palestinian people show they are giants in comparison with all the hatemongerers who litter this and may other websites. It brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are truly wonderful human beings. My heartfelt commiserations with you on the loss of your precious boy.
2. why?
edward ,   las vegas   (11.05.05)
why do these acts of compassion and peace always come from the pals? why do the jews never act nobly in the face of misery but only seek revenge? i think it is obvious who has the moral high ground in this conflict. may this poor child rest in peace.
3. To the Family of Ahmed Khatib
Israeli ,   Israel   (11.05.05)
May G-d warmly receive the soul of son. I am very sorry for your loss.
4. we just hope he's not considered a collaborator now
mike ,   usa   (11.05.05)
and given some palestinian 'justice'
5. Ahmed
Daniel ,   Sweden   (11.05.05)
Your life ended way to early, at age 13. No child should have to leave our world this way. Now you will never experience the sweet fruits of life and all this because you were born in the wrong place. A city full of terrorists. How can any sane parent let their children play with toyguns in a time and place like this? If you were my son this would never have happened. May your sole rest in peace
6. Honnour and glory to these parents...
Paul ,   paris   (11.05.05)
no more words to exprime what i feel..i hope that the jew parents of kid who will receive this organ, call their son Ahmed, for second name..and in memory
7. Thank God
Yasmeen ,   Gaza- Palestine   (11.05.05)
I hope this will show all Israelis and Westerns that not all Palestinian are lie what you think they are. I am very proud of the Khatib family, and would also be very proud of a similar Israeli family. Thank God, very much, I hope such events will mark the beginning of a new peace process.. salam and shalom :)
8. much respect
dave ,   herzliya   (11.05.05)
Much respect to the family of the boy, very brave decision that one knows they will be admonished for. Now should I be expecting to see some hate filled talkbacks following mine?
9. edward and michael; Jews have always been doing this.
Daisy ,   USA   (11.05.05)
I've read of several cases of Jewish parents giving their dead children's organs to Arabs. This case is unusual because it involves Arabs. Areyou insane edward? Jews are the ones who always act out of compassions and Arabs are the ones who always seek revenge. That is why as a non-Jew I support Israel. You obviously have the Arabs confused with the Jews. Where are your tears for the Jewish victims of Arab terror Michael? Do you only feel sympathy for your fellow Arabs?
10. This family represents the majority of palestinians!
Ramzi Sfeir ,   Bethlehem, PALESTINE   (11.05.05)
Its with sadness that i learned the news of this little boy's death, its with regret that i say "may he rest in Peace" to his family, its with all the respect that i raise a Hat for the spirit of this family! Its true that this little boy passed away now and that his laughs will not be heared anymore , but his organs will still function in the body of another person who will continue his life and remember him! I am very proud to have such people in my society and i believe that such people form a Majority! Donating an organ is the best gift one can give to a sick person, no matter what his origines or beliefs are! Saving a Human life is the most wonderful thing one can do, enough blood and hatred! Enough arms enough killing and enough violence! Let this boy be a bridge to peace! Let his story teach our politicians a lesson : WE DONT NEED THEM IN ORDER TO LIVE IN PEACE! and all of you over here who will send a message with a " But" , i suggest that you dont waste your time writting , My language is a language of PEACE! My dream is Coexistence, and my hope is in You peace thirsty people! You can make a Difference! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE ! Lets just all Hold hands And chant for peace just like we once did not very long ago! lets all Look to the sky and say " This is our limit" ! Peace is possible! Lets FIGHT for peace! Yes! FIGHT with words, Fight with Dreams! Fight with visions! Thats the only road to peace! 10 years after the assassination of the peace process, we are paying the price of it's assassin's devilish Smile! Its never too late to make peace ! I take this opportunity to ASK ALL OF YOU READERS to take this message seriously and to make your part of Peace! The Road to Major peace starts inside each one of us! Thank you
11. To Edward the Idiot
Israel ,   Israel   (11.05.05)
Boy are you an idiot. Want a list of how many Israelis, murdered in terrorst attacks, donated their organs...many going to Arabs who needed them? Suggest you look before you spout your stupid hatred. The reason this is such a story is because of the uniqueness of the story. Most often, Israelis get terrorist bombings and hatred from the Palestinians. That this family did such a noble thing is an amazing and exceptional thing. That you totally miss all the facts is not surprising. And Rachel Corrie was innocent...yeah right. And of course there were 5000 Palestinians killed in Jenin. The fact that Israeli doctors struggled to save the life of this boy - that isn't noble? What idiot parents let their child play in the streets with rifles...oh, that isn't important...no. God, please save us from such morons as Edward in Las Vegas.
12. City of sin....
Las Vegas, huh?   (11.06.05)
generates sinners...Edward...the moral high ground has never been in question. The people who have sent suicide bombers to pizzerias, shot Israeli children in the head, thrown rocks and bombs and grenades and rockets at Israel for 5 years clearly do not hold the moral high ground and only someone from Las Vegas, city of legal prostitution, would write such obsenities as you've written.
13. To Ramzi
Mark ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.06.05)
Dear Ramzi, I only wish that what you wrote was true...that such good people as this young boy's parents are the majority. Sadly, we Israelis know too few people such as this. The majority of the Palestinians we meet take part in violent demonstrations, wage or support terrorist activity, and rampage and riot, destroy synagogues and Jewish property, incite others to violence in the name of Shahid and Jihad. Yes, the road to major peace starts inside each of us...what this family did is a wonderful thing. I hope it will be reflected in many others and that this boy and his parents, not hate-filled imams, become the way for Palestinians. I don't think the peace process was assassinated 10 years ago - I think it was assassinated 5 years ago when Arafat chose violence and intifada over negotiation. There is no "but" here - there is a simple concept...when..and ONLY when...the Palestinians stop terrorism and return to the negotiating table willing to compromise and willing to make their people understand that Israel will not let itself be destroyed...then and only then...will there be peace. In the meantime, may God bless this family, one among so few, who have chosen to do something decent out of tragedy. That have chosen a road of honor, rather than revenge. Let's see if the Palestinian Authority will honor this sacrifice and prevent revenge attacks for what was a horrible accident...one made possible because of the need to defend against other young boys sent out to murder and maim...and in the meantime, Ramzi, please, tell your people - don't let your children play with guns, don't let them practice killing, don't let them glorify those who murder. Stop incitement, stop hatred, stop the violence and the terrorism.
14. To #1 & #2
marya ,   sacramento CA   (11.06.05)
Did you also send your "Kol HaKavod" to the Jewish boy blown up in a suicide attack who donated his kidney to a Palestinian girl? Do you hate Jews so much that you ignore any good thing done before you eyes? Pity ... http://www.jewishsf.com/content/2-0-/module/displaystory/story_id/18972/edition_id/383/format/html/displaystory.html
15. from tragedy to hope
Israel Zwick ,   nyc   (11.06.05)
This incident should be viewed in contrast with the Rachel Corrie incident which continues to demonize Israel. Let us all hope and pray that Ahmed's tragic death will ultimately save many more lives by bringing a quick end to this lengthy, violent and needless conflict.
16. Ramzi
Daavid ,   USA   (11.06.05)
You sound like a sincere person who is seeking peace. May G - - grant you and your family a long life. Amen- Inshallah....
17. To Ahmed's family - my condolences
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (11.06.05)
I am so sorry for the accidental death of your son. I know the IDF must feel absolutely terrible about this tragedy. Thank you so much for your kindness. The Bible teaches us that G-D's requirement for every human being is kindness. Micah 6:8 "And what does the L-RD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your G-D" Once again, thank you so much for your kindness. G-D bless your family.
18. edward; Jews have the morality and truth on their side.
Daisy ,   USA   (11.05.05)
When have Arabs acted with compassion and peace? You are truly insane.
19. ramzi; Does your "peace" include threatening my life?
Daisy ,   USA   (11.06.05)
Your are such a hypocrite! You threatened me and Linda Rivera and now you have the gall to talk about peace? You need to check yourself. If this family represents the majority of Arabs, Palestinians don't exist, then why does hamass and homocide bombings enjoy so much support? Why do Arabs celebrate after the slaughter of Jewish children? This case unfortunately does not represent the majority of Arabs living in occupied Israel. If it did Israel would be living in peace and not in constant anxiety waiting for another terrorist attack.
20. Previous Examples
Howard ,   Pacific Coast, USA   (11.06.05)
To Ahmed's family - I am so sorry for your loss. And I am so grateful for what you have done. To Edward - The 1st donation from Pal to Israeli Jew happened in 2001. In 2002, when the 1st donation from Israeli Jew to Pal happened, the Israeli had been murdered in a Palestinian suicide attack. Such acts have been rare on both sides, and when these things are done they should be honored and their example remembered in the future as a counterweight to the poison spewed by hatemongers on both sides. When someone does something so special and impressive for life and for peace, it is worthy of all of our support and our prayers. When this happens, would you mind leaving your poison at home? Israeli Jews and Palestinian Arabs would thank you.
21. ramzi - i guess we should ignore the suicide bombing terror
mike ,   usa   (11.06.05)
unless you consider 'giving' organs to dozens of people when one blows himself up, ok this represents the majority of palestinian people (according to ALL pf the polling data). no, the road to peace begins with you palestinians who have not even begun to internalize the price of real peace. if peace is dependent on you getting your land, then you are really admitting you all are a bunch of terrorists. by the way, preach your message of peace, coexistance, and compromise to your islamic fascist brothers. israel has been making the steps for peace for a long time, even just gave away gaza to you because there was no other way to get rid of it, but still you people continue to hate and lust for death and blood. these people who gave their sons' organs are the example for YOU people. try to get a clue. you are preaching to the wrong crowd.
22. An Accidental Death; A Humanitarian Gesture
Adina Kutnicki ,   NJ, US   (11.06.05)
While any child's death is a tragedy, we must not lose sight of one fact - the PA terror groups deliberately TARGET Israeli children. This death was an accident. In a culture where guns are commonplace among young teens, one can hardly fault the IDF. In addition, Israeli medical facilities have been treating Arabs from the territories for years, despite all the terror. In fact, PA children have been saved through transplants from Israeli kids before. Obviously, this family must be given credit for not crying for further jihad. They are surely not cut from the same terror thinking mold as many in the PA are. Perhaps their message of peace will get through to those who are on "the fence".
23. Nice gesture -- but...
NCjews ,   NC USA   (11.06.05)
On the surface, it seems likea nice gesture. But it may be a PR ploy. This from the same Pals who brought you the very questionable footage of the boy "dying" in his father's arms. Also these are the same Pals who claim that the Jews dragged out of their homes in Gaza were faked. So, don't get all warm and fuzzy yet. There are still a lot of unanswered questions. And all you self-hating Jews. Stop it you idiots and stop taking everything that makes the enemy look good at face value. These guys are murders who are committed to the death of all Jews (liberal or otherwise). P.S. It would be nice if the gesture were sincere. If so, I give the family about 10 days to live before they are murdered as "collaborators."
24. Racist haters
Salameh ,   Gaza, Palestine   (11.06.05)
The racist haters in this forum won't let the oppurtunity passes without adding their own taste of venom and hatred. No love and peace can ever overcome their hatred for us, ever. As for that swedish nazi, I say thank God he was not your son, you'd have raised him to hate for you not knowing any better !! As for Ahmed, may Allah bless his soul and punish his killers, Amen.
25. Israel kills Palestinian kids, Palestinians help Israli kids
Young ,   California   (11.06.05)
26. Another Palestinian Arab drama?
Roger ,   USA   (11.06.05)
The death of an innocent boy is a consequence of the Palestinian Arab terrorism and crimes. That boy is a victim of the Palestinian Arab gangsterism and continuous murderous attacks. Also, the parents of that boy should have known better before giving a toy gun to a boy in the area where the Israeli boys, the defenders Israel, are continuously attacked and killed. The Israeli soldiers acted properly. Unlike Israel we in America are not sustaining the terrorist attacks from the neighboring areas on continuous basis. Yet, when a boy raised a toy -gun at a cop in a similar situation the boy was shot and killed. Peace between the Arabs and Jews cannot come about until the 22 Arab tyrannies and their agents Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah, etc. etc. will cure themselves of their obsession to destroy the Jewish state on 0.1% of the Middle Eastern landmass when the Arabs occupy 99.9% of it.
27. You are the true heroes
Aaron Simon ,   Toronto, Canada   (11.06.05)
Thank you, Palestinian brothers. You have made a brave decision, and I believe it is through acts like yours, rather than Israeli military might and Palestinian fighters, that a true everlasting peace can be reached. I invite you to visit me if you ever tour Canada.
28. I am too emotional for words
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (11.06.05)
Total love and respect to you from Israel.
29. Daisy's attitude
Ramzi Sfeir ,   Bethlehem, Palestine   (11.06.05)
if we are killing each other lately...Blame people like Daisy! or Like Linda Rivera....etc....
30. Amazing Courage
Adam ,   Manchester   (11.06.05)
An inspiration to both sides. Sincerest condolences.
