There are people without housing. And there are people without jobs. Why not quit trying to tear apart communities, and instead earmark areas in the negev, Jordan valley, or galil for communities, and build infrastructure. While building the infrastructure, train the now unemployed farmers and businesspeople who are interested in the construction trades. And let them build their houses and communities under the supervision and alongside builders who are experienced. It could be done in less than a year.

The vast majority have NOT received ANY compensation...not even the initial 50,000 NIS promised to them. The vast majority cannot even access their belongings because the government refuses to pay Zim and so Zim is holding their property hostage. The refugees are being asked to pay 7000 NIS...or they can't even access their clothes. The refugees are now being asked (NOW!!!!) to prove how long they have been living there. Doesn't the friggin' government know? They were smart enough to be able to expel them, they should know how long they lived there. People who lived there for 28 years are now being asked to submit bills showing water and electricity from 28 years ago. Do YOU have water bills from 28 years ago? The government, read here corrupt Sharon and his main thief Yonatan Bassi, are trying to break the people. There are no solutions...worse, the few solutions they've come up with, the government has dangled in front of the refugees, and then refused to honor it. The refugees regularly face humiliation by hotels that haven't been paid - including one place where a short while befor shabbat, the hotel closed the electricity. What kind of country is this that abandons its own people? The answer is - the same kind of government that would surround its own people with barbed wire...knowing the obvious trauma that would cause the nation. The same morons who sent soldiers dressed in black - again, ignoring the obvious Nazi-connections to that symbolism. In short...Sharon and his lapdog Basset Hound Bassi aren't good enough to lick the shoes of these people...and shame on any Israeli who is silent during this time. If you haven't donated to help these people...if you haven't sent them a note...shame on you. We cannot rely on this corrupt government while trauma after trauma is inflicted on these people.
