I studied in Iran from 2000-2004. Believe it or not, there is a secren underground society that detests the government.. I don't know if they can overthrow them ,but they want freedom and love to hear stories about the USA. Yes, we have a dictator too, who is almost as bad.

G-d watch over and keep her safe. She is very brave. Years ago under the Shah Israel and Iran were friendly. A friend of mine went to Iran and worked there, reportd very good relations toward Jews. . Also there was an Irani man who worked with my husband . We socialized with him and his family and then he returned to Iran and that was the last anyone heard of him. I hope he is still alive and well but I doubt it.

I am not surprised at all that this young woman feels this way. In California there were many Iranians protesting against the mullahs AND supporting Israel.
