It has nothing to do with revenge or hate. It does have to do with Torah, genetics and ideology. According to Torah this is a mistake; a Jew marrying a non-Jew is detrimental to both parties, spiritually and physically. Genetically & ideologically, the Germans (for the most) have not changed an iota.

It's not right that she was punished for her uncle's crimes as a child, and her children shouldn't be punished either. this isn't that unusual, I'm a jew, and israeli now and I also have "skeltons in my closet". My mother's side is part German and one of Hitler's biggest generals and right hand men is my cousin. Its happens because someone along the line converted to judaism. You know what I think--its the most devine retribution I can do..the thought that a decendent of a Nazi general is Jewish, it puts a smile to my face.

I am often astonished that some Israelis want to live an endless fight with the past. Himmler was a criminal and a ghost from the painful past. His distant neice is from the Present and Future. Tolerance and forgiveness drive many to forgive and turn a new leaf. Those who attack this mixed marriage reminds of the Ku Klux Klan who attach Blck-white marriages. Cross cultural marriage is a tool for reconciliation among different peoples to forget the past pains and look forward toward a happy and peaceful future. Do not teach your children intolerance.
