We as Jews need to remember how we have been treated for generations by our persucutors. If true there is not excuse for the army not to take immediate control of the situation and protect the Palestinian olive pickers. If our army and police can be seen to be fair and even handed in situations like this then maybe, just maybe it will help improve relations in these areas.

What I am missing in the above mentioned article are some more testimonies from sources other than Arab and the ultra-left. Also I miss the name of the Binyamin community which should not be very difficult to find out. Finally I suspect that this is just another slander by the media against the Jewish residents of Yesha. Or do you consider the IDF to be a bunch of radical leftists in league with the PA? Given what settlers seem to think about the Israeli government these days, that wouldn't surprise me.... What drives me nuts about this conflict is how people on both sides become so totally devoted to their own side that they are absolutely incapable of seeing anything wrong with their side at all. Read the stories of what these kids do, and then read about what the Hitler Youth did on Kristalnacht. It's basically the same story, and I'm fully aware of the significance of that comparison, but it's the truth. These people unfortunately exist everywhere, and the hilltop youth, Kahane Chai, etc. are Israel's version. I'm amazed that a story of teenage vandalism makes the front page of your news. Compare the crime of cutting the Pals sacks to the vandalism of over 70 cars in one night in one of our main cities by a gang of 4.

It only rated a small mention on one newspaper. Not alot of comfort for the 7o vehicle owners who have face huge repair bills. One homeless man was sleeping in his vehicle when it was attacked. He recounted his story of being terrified for his life and he has injuries as from broken glass. I believed it happened in Christchurch and the man identified them as being Maori. They haven't been apprehended. Not all is peaceful in this earthly paradise either.
