1. Dumbass
J K ,   NYC, USA   (11.18.05)
This traitor is finally freed and he cant even hold to the terms of his release. Too often we think of the consquences of our actions too late. He's going to wind his sorry ass back in jail (where he belongs) and then bitch and moan about how unfair life is. Hey pal...you spill state secrets, you can expect life to be tough.
2. Vanunu is doing Peres & Sharons dirty work
Juke ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.18.05)
Vanunu is doing Peres & Sharon’s dirty work, the self destruction of Israel. He should have never been released from jail. I wouldn’t be surprise if he was talking to Palestinian Authority & Iranian agents who would love to add Dimona's nuclear reactor as a prime target for their missiles. Vanunu and the judges who released him from jail should be sent jail and throw away the key. Better yet maybe Peres can have silenced once in for all as he done in the past.
3. Sling him back in jail
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (11.18.05)
I mean sling as in throw with force so he bounces off the nearest jail bar and lands on the floor with the jail door crashing behind him with a loud CRAAAAAAAAAAASH!!
4. traitor to the bone
gil ,   ashkelon   (11.18.05)
Should someone expect traitors would abide by laws of a country they want to destroy? Are we so simple-minded?
5. Vanunu
gerschor ,   Raanana, Israel   (11.18.05)
Put him back in jail and throw away the key. This man is a threat to the security of Israel, and his promises do not mean a thing.
6. He's just a bad guy
Drumgoole ,   Newark, New Jersey   (11.18.05)
This character disordered arrogant traitor just enjoys the attention he is getting. He has no sense of loyalty and will turn on anyone. The questions to be answered are these: 1. Is he dangerous to the State of Israel because of his knowledge of the nuclear program. If he is, why was he only sentenced to a relatively short term in prison and not to life? 2. If he is not dangerous to the State, just encourage this narcissist to leave. 3. If he remains dangerous to the security of the State, bring charges of parole violation and put him back in jail.
7. Vanidiot...
J ,   NY   (11.18.05)
8. Set Vaanunu free, stop harassing him!
Hillel Hazaken ,   Tel Aviv   (11.18.05)
Vaanunu is a great human and all those who persecute him are moral dwarfs. Israel has gone bezerk due to the ugly occupation and the incessant stripping of the Palestinian's human rights and robbing them of their land. Instead of restoring its sanity and humanity, this bully of a country country punishes those who stand for the humiliated Palestinians.
9. no matter what they take from you they cant take away your
aa ,   london uk ....   (11.18.05)
dignity ..... stay strong vanunu , you are a brave man
10. Vanunu
Anthony ,   Toronto, Canada   (11.18.05)
If I knew that my government was secretly and illegally building a nuclear bomb facility, I would think it my moral duty to speak out. That is really all that happened. He is a hero.
11. i see all the Jew haters are out in full force..
John ,   Ohio   (11.18.05)
For those of you who call Vanunu a hero and praise him you are misguided by your disdain for Israel. Bastards everyone of you including your hero.
12. To #10; Yeah, real hero, sold pictures for hundreds of
(11.18.05)
thousands of dollars because he needed some cash.
13. Stupid liberal Jews!
Roger ,   USA   (11.18.05)
They should have decapitated that traitor 20 years ago or at least locked him up for good.
14. ANOTHER MISTAKE
SAMUEL BLAIR ,     (11.19.05)
VANNUNU SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN PRISON FOR LIFE. ONLY 'MURDER WOULD HAVE BEEN A WORSE CRIME. ANY OTHER COUNTRY WOULD HAVE EXECUTED HIM. ISRAEL HAS HIM NOW AND SHOULD PUT HIM AWAY FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. SHALOM
15. Jewish Vanunu sympathizers are totally f----d.
Tahl ,   Israel   (11.19.05)
I guess I can sort of understand some of the goy antisemites who praise this maggot, they would embrace anyone who's against Israel, Zionism, and Jews in general - no matter how much of an idiot and a clown he is. What I fail to fathom, is what's behind the sympathy of Jews toward this maggot? People like #8, apparently suffer from a full-forced amnesia (or are simply f----d in their head): they forget Vanunu's rhetorics from just very recently - that the establishment of Israel, their own homeland that keeps them safe - was a crime against the Arabs, and that the Jewish religion is corrupted and heretic. How can a Jew living in Israel, condone such outrageously flagrant rhetoric? Is their hatred toward their own country and people this big? I am truly ashamed I share my country with such lunatics.
16. He did it for one thing: MONEY $$$$
(11.19.05)
Hes a snitch. Nothing more, nothing less
17. # 8,9 10
gil ,   ashkelon   (11.19.05)
The countries you are from have some concern about you and i'm sure #8 is not a ta resident.
18. We have the technology....
(11.19.05)
if it is so important for the Israeli security services to keep track of this "misken" (pitiful person) then why don't they put a Personal GPS non-removable bracelet on him. It would save time and money. But mostly I think since he's already served his time for his acts of treason against the State, the State should just let go and forget about him. The sooner the State does that the sooner everyone else will come to realize that he's just a "misken". Basically the State is practicing a form of 'overkill' in this matter and should just stop.
19. Nuclear whistleblower
H. Liebersohn ,   London, England   (11.22.05)
The crassness and inaccuracy of the anti-Vanunu talkbacks tell it all. He wasn't anti-Israel, he just believed the citizens should have a right to debate nuclear weapons, which make Israel a target and a tinderbox of trouble in a troubled part of the world. Like Clive Ponting in UK and Daniel Ellsberg in the US, history will make clear he is a hero no matter how many siege-mentality ranters shout "traitor". If you want Israel to be a respected country, let him go - baying for blood and beheadings are really not what Judaism ever held as a vision for Israel. More to the point, there are no secrets left and these arrests are vindictiveness - unworthy of a so-called democracy. Hope (no, not a self-hating Jew either, should that cliche spring to mind)
20. vanunu
sheila simpson ,   england   (11.22.05)
Your friends salute you Vanunu. One day, in a saner Israel your sanity will be recognised . Peace is along road. sheila
21. free Vanunu
Doreen ,   U.S.   (12.02.05)
It doesn't matter whether you agree or disagree with what Vanunu did. He served his time and and is no longer a threat to Israel. His nuclear information is 20 years old! His freedom should not include restrictions. This opinion has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with antisemitism. Bravo for #8 for telling it like it is. Israel has become a bully nation that disregards human rights for the Palestinian people and this is weakening, not strengthen, Israel. I am pro-Israel, pro-Palestine, and especially, PRO-PEACE.
