31. A further reply to Gabor
Kate ,   London   (11.30.05)
"Unfortunately, under comunist rulership lots of Jews went to work for Hungarian comunist party and secret service in order to take revenge on the gentile society! Many anti-comunist Christians (and not only ex-nazis!) suffered from Jewish hands! " You spout the kind of anti-Semitic filth that one can read on any pro-Nazi website and you expect anyone not inside a lunatic asylum to believe that you're Jewish? Hungary had maintained an institutionalised system of anti-Semitism since the 1920s in which Jews were subjected to special taxes and prevented from obtaining government jobs and places at university. During the war, Hungarians collaborated en masse in the genocide of over 600,000 Jewish men, women and children. Virtually none of these criminals was ever punished for their enormous crimes. In addition, the property that was stolen from the Holocaust victims now lies in the hands of the Hungarian state and individual Hungarians. Of course, none has been returned for, like you, Hungary is still living in a state of denial. I have absolutely no doubt that some communist officials had Jewish origins, just as the vast majority had Christian origins. The notion though that the former were out for revenge is simply the product of a mind seeking to justify the enormity of the crimes carried out by Hungarians during the war. The revenge that the Jewish people have taken against Hungary is not one that required violence but that followed from the natural course of events. You see, Jews were, despite the enormous discrimination, the bedrock of Hungarian intellectual and commercial life and as a direct consequence of the genocide of the 1940s and the pogroms of the 1950s, Hungary has been stripped bare of all this talent and must now remain forever a second-rate nation. In other words, you did it to yourselves. For further information about the virulence of Hungarian anti-Semitism I suggest you Google the following article which appeared in Physics Today 2002: "Numerus Clausus Led to Hungarian Exodus in 1920s"

Kate ,   London   (11.30.05)
There is no such thing as a "pure Jewish race". If there were we wouldn't allow converts and there have been many in Jewish history. In any event, the concept of a race is only dangerous when it is taken to extremes as in Hungary and is used as an excuse to murder hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians. This of course is all of a piece with your libel about Jewish communists "obtaining revenge" against Hungarians. Once again, you are trying to minimise the enormity of Hungarian crimes by attempting to criminalise the Jewish people. If in your mind Jewish = Nazi you then suppose that your nation is let off the hook for its numerous acts of wickedness against the Jewish people. None of this works. The stain of shame that marks the Hungarian nation is indelible. It will never wash out however hard you try to distort reality and history.

As I said before, if israel is invited to join EU, I hope they politely decline the invitation. Only an idiot would attach his raft, to a Titanic.
34. YOU THINK THAT'S RACIST!

35. To Kate, the "Jewish nationalist"
Gabor ,   Budapest, EU   (12.01.05)
Thanks Kate for your "lesson"! Firs of all: You have no right to take in doubt my Jewishness! Who are you, the "ambassador of King David" in London? Seconds: I didn't try to neagte or minimalize nazi crimes neither the role of Hungarians in the Shoa. But, I don't accept your point of view regarding the condemnation of a whole nation (Hungarian or whatever)... It would be the same generalization which led to the discrimination of Jews in all Europe. Even if the Jewish people had to suffer enormous persecutions and genocide, we don't have the right to judge others just because we AREN'T G_D !!! The majority of today generation didn't live under the fascist regime, despite of this there are many gentiles in this country who take responsibility and actions in order to don't forget what happened to our ancestors (by the way also my gandparents had to suffer from the persecutions). Why should I hate somebody just because he or she is Christian, born after the war and his/her parents weren't nor nazis nor their supporters? Why do you think that EVERY gentile Hungarian was a SUPPORTER of the NAZIS? I think you can think only in black and white! Jews contributed to many things in Hungary but saying that "Hungary has been stripped bare of all this talent and must now remain forever a second-rate nation" is simply sciovinistic, i.e. you HATE Hungarians, and everybody who is not Jewish! We Jews don't have to forget but we have to forgive to those who were personally innocent. I suggest you to hate those INDIVIDUALS who contributed to the Shoa. If you hate Europe so much, why do you live here? point 3.: I didn't say that "Jews are a nazi nation"! I only told you : some Jews, i.e. those religious extremists who think they are above others often operate with similar thoughts like the nazis in Germany: for example those who always try to take in doubt the Jewishness of otheres in order to "save clean Jewry". They are against Reform Jews, against converts of other Jewish streams etc. Converting in Judaism today is probabely one of the most difficult processes... but this is an other topic!

Thanks for your reply! I don't think the EU is in such a drammatic situation. Of course, there are problems... Don't worry! We are going to overcome them! One more question: What about the US in Iraq? If America is a military superpower, why does it have still so much trouble there? With all thoes super weapons, money, and "intelligence" they should long have won the war! Is America the second Titanic??? I hope it itsn't as we are all in the same ship in a war against terror and Muslim extremism. What we Europeans really hate in Americans is this typical arrogance and sciovinism what we can read also in some of the talkbacks here too. Americans seem to be like one of the Wild West movie figures: aggressive, arrogant, uncivilized and unpolitely critcal. But no wonder! They had such a short history.... we must be patient with them:-) Even if some Israelis prefer to love America and hate Europe, there are facts: Israel is more European in its civilization than pro-American Israelis or ex-American olim khadashim would like it to be. PS.: What about the pro-Israel rally in Rome and other European cities? There were Americans and Israelis in our streets? 15.000 Romans -according to some readers of Ynet- are subjects of hate (see the hate "rally" of Kate from London) just because they are gentiles and their parents or grandparents had a man called Mussolini??? Take care!
37. Oh, SON - you did not ...
Sar ,   Idaho, US   (12.01.05)
Listen here, Gabor. The United States military rolled over their "established" armed forces. It was "conventional". Take it from someone who holds weaponry patents and designs tactical equipment, the US was not fully equipped or prepared to fight a "guerilla" resistance. That's all it is. *** Americans seem to be like one of the Wild West movie figures: aggressive, arrogant, uncivilized and unpolitely critcal. But no wonder! They had such a short history.... we must be patient with them:-) *** Well, I can't argue with that ... (adjusts cowboy hat and spits out chew) ... I guess you will just have to wait. As far as the PS note. I'm going to have to keep it "American" and leave that with a: (whine) booohooo ... (tear) ...

I am an ex-European, so obviously I don't wish Europe any harm, even if I disagree with most of EU's policies. Over the years, Europe has become a much different place from the one I born in and the changes are not for the better. Yes, Italians have rallied once in support of Israelis, but Europe still allows -- no, it still promotes demonization of Israel -- something that defies reason and simple common sense, and something I didn’t really understand until I read “Eurabia”. Please read it. Also read Oriana Fallaci’s books. There is a pending case against her in Italy for insulting Islam in her book “The Rage and the Pride”, for which she could get 3- year sentence. Read her latest books before EU imposes prison sentences for merely owning them (a warning for all those who are worried about free speech in Europe – any criticism of Islam or Muslims is off limits.) Another European problem is the fast growing Muslim immigration and their high birth rates coupled with the practice of polygamy. As a Hungarian, you know that your country, like the rest of Europe, has a very low birth rate, below replacement value, so those Muslims will comprise ever growing percentage of European population. For now, those immigrants are not yet rushing into Hungary, but they will as soon as Hungary become economically more attractive. As a member of the EU, Hungarians will not be allowed to do anything about it. You mention our problems in Iraq, but that only underscores the nature of our common problem and the enemy we ALL face. Should the US loose in Iraq, Europe will pay the price long before we do. So pray for our success. Sad that it took Hungarians 60 years to gain freedom from foreign control only to hand it over to Brussels’s bureaucrats, and for what?
39. Response to AK
Gabor ,   Budapest, EU   (12.02.05)
Hi! Thanks for your correct answer! Well, I agree with you in almoust everything expecting one thing: Hungary as a member state in the EU has some influence on common policy, like all the other states within the comminity. Most recently there are more and more pro-Isral voices in the European Parliament and Commission thanks to the 10 new memberstate. Hungary is probabely the most correct member state of the EU towards Israel. Soviet occupation can't be mentioned "on the same page" with EU membership because in Brussels each member state has a voice upon its percentage of population. We have now 25 member states, Hungary belongs to those of medium size with enough influence. Growing muslim population is a big problem in Western Europe but many countries ercently made their iinternal policy towards immigrants more severe. Some of the radical imams are going to be expelled or already have been expelled (UK, Holland etc.) Don't forget the Palestinian doctor living in Budapest, who wanted to assassinate President Katzav in hungary but due to effective steps made by Hungarian and Israeli-US secret services he was arrested. Livin here, I know more and more people begin to see Islam's radical nature and also the EU politicians will finally understand danger. The biggest problem is in Wester Europe due to their left-wing nature of thinking (i.e.: sympathy with "oppressed" nations: here Palestinian and Arab propaganda has been very effective!) I hope the West (including US, EU, Israel) will finally win over terrorism., so I think will are on the same side :-) Shabbat shalom for you and all Ynet readers!
40. YEAH? WHATEVER ...

"I hope the West (including US, EU, Israel) will finally win over terrorism., so I think will are on the same side :-)" So ... one day I'm just cruising the Internet to edjucate myself about Israel because I saw some "numa-numa" video with a bunch of hot ladies like this, "Roni Superstar", Ninette Teib, or Agam Rodberg - and all of a sudden - EVERYONE is making fun of Americans. Like - we're all wearing stupid cowboy boots or something ... COWBOY BOOTS ... WELL WHATEVER ... And I have some news for you, ... ... ... "I CAN DO MORE THAN 97 PUSH-UP IN A MINUTE!" ... ... ... That didn't make a whole lot of sense, but it makes me feel better ... TERRORISM IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY! EVERYONE!
