1. Good player
Peggi ,   Fr   (12.01.05)
Why such important figure comes to Israel, he is sure that he does not develop any thing special towards Israel because he sees what Israel is doing to de-stabilize the region...
2. player v. jew
aviva ,   jerusalem   (12.01.05)
good player. hard to see why someone who doesn't consider himself a practicing jew or identify with the state of israel is of much relevance to us though.
3. Instead of badmouthing Israel
Roger ,   USA   (12.01.05)
put down your fires in France.
4. Great player
Free ,   Los Angeles, US   (12.01.05)
He's a great player not just a good player, and Peggi your assumption as to the reason he has not developed an affinity towards Israel is just that, an assumption. If anyone is de-stabilizing the region it is the numerous Arab leaders who pilfer their country's coffers and then use Israel as a distraction, or the many Europeans, like yourself, who have found an outlet to express their anti-semitism by bashing Israel and excusing the murder of innocents by terrorists, or as I'm sure you would call them "freedom fighters." I guess what I'm trying to say is: put a crepe in it, or go watch some Jerry Lewis, or smoke a pack and a half of cigarettes while you read this. Whatever you just please stop with your ridiculous assumptions.

Peggi ,   Fr   (12.01.05)
So, if U leave your place in LA and decide to go to Israel, U would like to reside in a settlement in the West Bank where they had stolen that land from Palestinians.Do U think any honest/straight person would accept to reside on others stolen land. I do not think you accept this for your self.
6. WHO CARES
guy ,   canada   (12.01.05)
Why is this even a story? he has nothing to do with israel, or judaism. Hes a dumb jock, and who cares if his mother reproduced with some goy, and now this goy wannabe is a basketball player.
7. Peggi from France
Yisroel ,   USA   (12.01.05)
There is no part of this world that wasnt stolen by the country who owns it now. There is no such thing as stealing land whoever wins a battle, and especially when they were attacked, gets the land. Just like America, Australia, and even France.

aa ,   london   (12.01.05)
in america and france and everywhere else in the world people are equel and people have rites except for israel if you are not a jew then you are not humen...
9. to #8 and Peggi
Alex ,   Australia   (12.02.05)
You two go on about rights and stealing, hey wake up, the only people stealing anything are the so-called Palestinians, if you read history you will see that there never was a sovereign state called Palestine and there never existed a people called Palestinians, no Palestinian language or unique culture, these people are Arabs and muslims who deny the rights of others, just look all over the middle east. Israel existed as a nation well before these people new what nationalism or sovereignty was. So the two of you need to go off and do a bit of reading, get an education, at least look with some balance at what is happening instead of sucking up all the Palestinian lies and propaganda.

So you're basically telling me that your only problem with Israel is the settlements in the West Bank, right? I didn't think so. See the thing is that even if Israel, withdrew all of its settlements from the West Bank, the so called "Palestinians" would not be satisfied. Demand after demand would be made until, the initial goal of the anti-Jewish movement, which the recent intifiada is a part of, will have been satisfied. The pushing of the Jews into the sea. In other words the complete destruction of Israel, which Arab leaders espouse all the time, but people like you don't take an issue with. It's not surprising that you wouldn't take an issue with the murder of another 6 million Jews, because you are deep down an anti-semite. Just face it. You might color yourself a liberal, but your true motives are apparent by your lack of objectivity. It's funny how Israel is the one country in the world that is held to such a higher standard of care than any other nation in the world. So before you criticize Israel, take a look at yourself and ask yourself why it is that you hate Jews so much. Just ask yourself that question, and then after you've done that engage in a re-analysis of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Then maybe you can look at it objectively. Oh yeah ask yourself another question, compare tiny little Israel, to every single Arab and Muslim nation in the entire world, and tell me who has produced more Noble Prize Winners, who has produced more technology to help cure and fight disease etc.? Then ask yourself why a country with less than the numer of Jews killed in the Holocaust has achieved more in the past fifty years, than the cumulative of all of the Arab and Islamic countries in the past 250 years?

you are an ignorant fool Israel is the only place in the mideast in which arabs can vote - so people are not treated as human in all your arab countries - if things were so good in france - why did the arabs start an intafada there if things are so good for you in london why are you planting bombs on subways by the way learn to spell
12. Stop the lies 11
(12.02.05)

13. Cut the kid some slack...
d ,   arlington, va   (12.02.05)
He's a great player and he's a great kid. And he is not just a dumb jock. He was an A student in high school and I believe he scored 1300+ on the old SAT. Given that he's a minority, with those kinds of academic credentials he could have gone to any school in the country. And I'm sure his faith will deepen as he matures. Remember, he's only 18.

Josie ,   Israel   (12.03.05)
I am not Jewish, and I get better treatment here in Israel than I was in my home country., which is not a muslim country either. And I know for a fact that many goyim feels the same way I do.
15. to aa our annonomous writer
Hilda ,   US   (12.04.05)
Apparently you feel you are nobody because you never identify yourself--except as an antisemite. You certainly don't know Israel where citizens are diverse. There are Arabs who are members of Knesset, professionals, even ambassadors. Where is any Muslim country can you say that anyone but Muslims count or in some cases even allowed to enter the country
16. FOR GOD SAKE
PILPELET ,   H ISRAEL   (12.04.05)
YES FOR GOD SAKE LETS REMEMBER WERE TALKING ABOUT A YOUNG BOY THAT HAPPENS TO PLAY A SPORT VERY WELL AND IS NOT VERY RELIGIOUS JEW . I DONT SUPPOSE ANY ONE QUESTIONED HIS FAITH OR ANY LOYALTY TO ISRAEL BEFORE HE BECAME FAMIOUS ...............IM A SCOTISH BORN ISRAEL AND AT THIS MOMENT DONT FEEL LIKE BEING VERY LOYAL TO ISRAEL WITH ALL THE CRAP THATS GOING ON HERE........SO LEAVE HIM TO MAKE HIS OWN DECISIONS AND DONT JUDG HIM

18. He's a Player!
Annonomous ,   NY, USA   (01.09.06)
Talk all you want about not being loyal to his religion. He'll prove all of you wrong when he makes it big one day! His words will be way more imprtant than all of your stupid assumptions.
19. Morons!!!
Czarkazem13   (03.31.06)
Last time I checked this was about a young basketball player not Israel's right to exist. Not too mention, but after reading both sides of the arguement, one should be embarrassed by the lack of understanding of issues and the lack of getting past their own biasnesses. With that said, the article was about Jordan Farmar, a really talented black/Jewish U.S. baller (not a goy by the hypocritical Halacha standards either). Nor is he a dumb jock (but why let facts get in the way). After reading three Israeli newspapers over the net in English, I wonder if the Hebrew responses are any better then this crap. No matter what the article. They should just stop talkbacks, it's embarrassing.
20. im a muslim basketball player...
aboo ,   France   (04.07.06)
and i certainly am not an anti-semite, being very tolerate of jews and other religions. i dont appreciate the slander of muslims or arabs in this talkback session. It is neither totally the muslims fault or the isrealis fault, but both. we need to work together for a common goal of peace and understanding. Let us praise the man for coming out and accepting his jewish faith. - A Muslim Basketball Player
21. great player
slim ,   chicago il   (04.18.09)
He is a great player, and god is just as real as santa, so maybe thats why being a jew is not a big part of him.
