2. Wow... if i ever become half the man he is
Gil ,   Tel aviv   (12.02.05)

3. and Israel loves you Azzam; egypt is swine
(12.02.05)
4. Thank G-D Azzam Azzam is free!
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.02.05)
How very sad that this excellent Israeli citizen spent 8 horrible years in jail for something he was not even guilty of. This is a warning to all Jewish and Druze Israeli citizens this could happen to them if they visit a Muslim country. Azzam Azzam, thank you so much for speaking out for Jonathan Pollard who was given a life sentence in America when he was only supposed to get a sentence of 2-4 years. G-D always bless and protect you and your family, Azzam Azzam.
5. Like the rest of you, they'll employ you now on a checkpoint
Salameh ,   Gaza, Palestine   (12.02.05)
Because it's simple and easy, once a dog, always a dog
6. #5 Salameh you sound jealous
Cynthia ,   USA   (12.02.05)
The Israeli Arabs experience a higher standard of living and more freedom than Arabs in any other Arab/Islamic country. It's no wonder they remain in Israel. At the same time, your standard of living declines while poverty and chaos escalates.
7. grave
murtada ,   jerusalem   (12.02.05)
azzam you return from grave but remember there is another grave no one will return from it no radio to listen hebrew or arby and please be ready of that no return to any one
8. this asshole should have stayed another 50 years in prison
aa ,   london   (12.02.05)
9. #4: Don't be ridiculous
Michael Steiner ,   Praha, EU   (12.02.05)
You've probably never been outside New York, never mind the US, so don't spread your drek about what could happen to Jews, Israelis or Druze on the other side of the world. I've been to Muslim countries, was openly Jewish and never had any problems; on the contrary. Get a life.
10. #4 - michael, michael: do you not know, have you not heard..
mike ,   usa   (12.02.05)
you just set off a chain reaction of events which will result in all of us having to endure another salvo of cut/paste posts from you-know-who. michael, you should have recognized that she was being reserved and restrained (by not using ALL CAPS in the subject line) but now you have opened the gates of hell and now we all will pay the price of your folly! quick, write an apology or something before talkback armageddon befalls us all! please!!
11. Mike in USA thks you got me laughin'! great post!
(12.02.05)
12. Re# 4
Peggi ,   Fr   (12.02.05)
U make me laugh, this guy is a shame on the face of all Arabs who live in Israel. Why U're so proud of him, simply because he is aloyal spy to Israel. Alot of Isreali's visit Egypt and they do not have any problem.
13. 9- thanks
(12.02.05)
the propoganda in the USA, that Linda and Cynthia are victims of, has been trying to get the USA citizens to believe that ARAB countries are so barbabric and dark and un-free- Quite the contrary- Dubai, Kuwait, Egypt, Libya, Saudi Arabia--,Morrocco, etc. etc FREE, Mystical, mysterious- Great places- and most full of western tourists anyway- religion is not mandatory- it is a choice-
14. #1, 8 - how about Britain jailing you two?
Tahl ,   Israel   (12.02.05)
With some fabricated story of espionage to an Arab country? Maybe then you'd realize one tenth of what the poor man suffered. And, we'll finally be free of such hateful responses in here.
15. 13
Jared ,   Toronto, Canada   (12.02.05)
They're such wonderful countries that's why you if u live in any of them refuse to put your name down in an Israeli newspaper talkback! Not a choice as long as u make sure no one sees you making a choice! Actually some of the countries are not barbaric but have barbaric customs and traditions. Stoning women yeah not such a angelic thing to do! It's not Islamic to stone women but u do it anyways for committing crimes according to laws that do not recognize the right to a fair trial. Stone away my friend stone away at your own argument!
16. Assam Assam
Hilda ,   US   (12.02.05)
I'm happy to see that he is free. I wish with all my heart that pressure was put on the US to free Pollard who has languished in hell for over 20 years for a crime which others have either just had the wrists slapped or served only a year or two in the federal country club of a prison where they played tennis, lifted weights, and watched tv while Pollard was in the pit with no medical care and beastly certainly unAmerican conditions. We can suspect why. Michael Steiner, I am so happy that you wee not treated to a Nicholas Berg treatment in Arab countries. But then even Arab countries love Jews who are self haters. The Nazis treated Kapos ok too until it was their turn to go into the oven.
17. Stienr; You are an Arab. You are not fooling anyone!.
Daisy ,   USA   (12.03.05)
18. Azzam Azzam had it a lot better than any Palestinian
Marlene Newesri ,   New York City   (12.03.05)
At least Azzam Azzam had due process of law and was tried in a court of law. That says a lot more than countless numbers of Palestinians, many of whom have been sitting in Israeli jails for years without any charges and denied representation or due process. He even had visits by prime ministers, MK's, and Israeli embassy officials.
19. Cynthia, your remarks are truly ignorant
Marlene Newesri ,   New York City   (12.03.05)
Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel remain there because that's where they come from, in spite of all the racist laws and policies which they are subjected to. Living in a racist society can never be described as a "higher standard of living." Your comment is like someone telling Rosa Parks or Martin Luther King, Jr., during the 1950's that they had a higher standard of living in the United States than Blacks living in South Africa, so that's why they must have remained also. Based on your comments, Rosa Parks should have continued giving up her seat to white folks because she had it so good as compared to elsewhere.
20. If you want to be half a man Gil
Marlene Newesri ,   New York City   (12.03.05)
or better yet, a bit of a human being, then shed some tears over Palestinian prisoners who are rotting away and tortured in Israeli prisons, many without any charges, and speak out on their behalf. As long as you're in Tel Aviv, do something worthwhile.
21. actually Daisy...
(12.03.05)
if you read M. Steiner's comments with any amount of consistency you'll see that he's a member of the moderate and educated right. I don't always agree with his comments but at least he's original and tends to think things through before commenting. Which unfortunately I CANNOT say about you, Linda Rivera, Dacon9, Adina Kutnicki, Bunnie Meyer, AK and a few other posters of the same ilk. All of you lack originality and are just a bunch of extremist racists sowing the seeds of hatred!
22. Linda and Daisy
Emad ,   Egypt - Switzerland   (12.03.05)
every day you prove more and more how ignorants hatresses you both are , Linda is a victim of smoe terror zionists way of thinkig scared her and orderd her to hate the Arabs and the Muslims and they washed her brain (if she has one) and Daisy is a 100% ignorant of everything and i asked her many times to write about Donald Duck may be she has better idea about him than about what she is writing here , Linda , like most of the guys here noticed that you didn't move out of NY , how come you speake about countries millions of tourists visiting them every year and your double scale in one issue is showing how fanatic and hatress you are , you asked to put Mr. Venunu the hero forever in jail and to free the spy who cheated your country Pollard ... Egypt the barbaric country(like you dicribed it) freed Azzam and the US the most civilised country didn't free Pollard , if you love Israel and the Jews that much why don't you move to Israel and struggle from there and see the facts on the land not only in the internet , i invited you once to visit Egypt on my account in 5 stars hotels and i will show you everything you like to see there and we will see what you will write after , go to church and pray to God to forgive you about how you are hating another people because a real Christian should not hate anybody Jesus told us this ... right ? keep smileing .... if you can
23. #20 Why only half a man?
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (12.03.05)
i would prefer to remain a full man and not shed any tears for the criminal murdering Pals that rot in Israeli jails. Im doing lots of worthwhile things in Tel Aviv for example generating deals that bring in huge foreign investment to the country and enjoying building up my family here. I don't spare even a spit of saliva for the scum you mention.
24. What hypocrisy No. 23
Marlene Newesri ,   New York City   (12.03.05)
You shed tears over Azzam Azzam who had due process of law and was released, but hundreds of Palestinians rot away in Israeli jails who have never had due process of law, and who were never found guilty or innocent of any wrongdoing. They're rotting away strictly because of their identity. While you enjoy building up your life and family in Tel Aviv, I wonder if it ever bothered your conscience how Israel destroys the lives of Palestinian families by destroying their homes and their lands who have lived there since the day of their birth, or who oppresses them. I wonder how you would like your family to live that way or how you would like your child sitting on a pile of rubble after a government had bulldozed your house with all your belongings inside. How does it feel to be able to live in Tel Aviv while a refugee is not even allowed to return to his beloved village from where he was expelled.
25. Donald Duck would contribute much more
Marlene Newesri ,   New York City   (12.03.05)
It's still important to emphasize that Azzam Azzam is at least a free man today and did have due process of law while even being able to have visitors. However, Mordechai Vanunnu, an Israeli citizen, who already served an 18-year sentence mostly in solitary confinement for simply speaking out about Israel's nuclear weapons is NOT permitted to leave the country, and is virtually still a prisoner of Israel. Interesting too because another young woman who won't serve in the Israeli army and who has also spoken about Israeli racism here in the states is now back in Israel, and she's not permitted to leave the country. Ahh...what a wonderful "democracy." !! I wonder why Egypt should even believe Israel's insistence that Azzam Azzam was innocent. After all, let's not forget the :Lavon affair. That was back in the 1950's when the Israel secret service set up a spy ring in Egypt with the sole purpose of blowing up US and British targets. The objective at that time was to alienate the Uhited States and Britian from Egypt by making it look like it was being done by Egyptian citizens. Who knows, that may have been why Israel attacked the USS Liberty, hoping to destroy it altogether with everyone on board, and blame it on Egypt also. And to Emad in Egypt: I think carrying on a conversation with Donald Duck would be more substantive than anything that Daisy or Linda has ever "contributed" to these YNET feedbacks.
26. POLLARD'S "SIN": HE PERMITTED ISRAEL TO ACT IN ITS DEFENSE
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.03.05)
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=24659 September 26, 2001 Terror in the U.S. and the Jonathan Pollard case By Larry Dub © 2001 WorldNetDaily.com "... thanks to Jonathan Pollard, Israel was ready with gas masks and sealed rooms when Iraq attacked her during the Gulf War... The usual sentence for spying for an ally is 2-4 years... Indeed, the Government's own Victim Impact Statement (VIS), which was submitted to the court prior to sentencing indicated that Pollard's greatest "sin" was that by giving Israel vital security information which permitted the Jewish state to act in its own defense, he had made Israel "too strong" and thus angered America's "moderate" Arab allies...
27. HUNDREDS OF ISRAEL'S POW/MIAS & POLLARD BETRAYED & ABANDONED
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.03.05)
It is immoral and cruel that hundreds of Israel's brave POW/MIAs, including Ron Arad, and Pollard in the U.S. are left in prison, betrayed and abandoned. At the same time, under intense American pressure, Israel has released THOUSANDS of terrorists from Israeli jails enabling the terrorists to rejoin the religious war against Israel. THE ONLY THING ISRAEL GETS IN RETURN IS A MASSIVE AND DEADLY INCREASE IN TERRORISM.
28. Azam sold his Faith
CANADA   (12.03.05)
I have many friends from the Druze faith who think that Azam Azam is one of the worst Druze in their ranks ...this type is among the minority who betrayed and violated their Faith and whould alwayes be a shame in the Druze community all over the world , Azam used his Arab backround to spy on an Arab country for the benifit of another country (suppose to be in a peace treaty) . now Pollard case is similar in motives but America is not weak and corupted Egypt ...people wake up and eat you falafel and Ful .
29. the article is about AZZAM AZZAM, not POLLARD POLLARD
mike ,   usa   (12.03.05)
so it seems that any article is free game to write about whatever in the world you want. you think you're advertising your concern and love, but instead you display your dementia. loonie rivera strikes again!
30. #28, #29 UNJUST IMPRISONMENT for both AZZAM AZZAM & POLLARD
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.03.05)
#28, Egypt's so-called evidence was : "CONCEALED INK WRITTEN ON UNDERPANTS" What a joke! #29 It is more than obvious, the reason I mention Pollard is because this is also a case of massive injustice. Pollard was only supposed to receive a 2-4 year sentence which is the norm for his offense. Instead, Pollard got life.
