Are your from FOXNEWS? As they don't like covering the war in Iraq, considering the way it's going, they're making their big story this month "The War Against Christmas," as they call a little consideration for minorities these days.

Muslims seem to be making a rather concerted effort to dismantle everthing that they dislike here. Offices can't put up xmas decorations, stars of david offend, forget even mentioning anything relating to judaism (its called zionism now) everything that pretty much doesn't stem from pure sunni islam has got to go for these guys...You know, when you are in someone's house, its rude to try and rearrange the furniture...'Palestinians' take note...Sad when people can be offended by a simple cookie

When I was doing my MA in A2, a Jordanian woman in my Chaucer seminar asked me to advise on on which cookies were kosher - she wanted to be sure that she bought cookies that were lard free. Apparently, as Halal products aren't so easy to find in some places, religious Moslems buy kosher!

Yeah, I've seen orthodox books that do that, but they do not impose or market other people. It is used for private purposes and internal use only. Doesn't bother anybody, nor do they make it a public/political statement.
