mark N ,   holfnagz, sweden   (12.08.05)
They should just cut out the political correctness and call them fighting monkeys.
3. "guerilla" warfare defined
(12.08.05)
guerilla is the Spanish word for "little war" or "battle" individuals participating in "guerillas" are "guerilleros" -- "fighters of little wars" in its international meaning today this word is contexted to mean any group of military fighters who are not backed a nation's government. As I recall the term was first popularized in the late fifties early sixties when it was connected to Fidel Castro and Che Guevera. As you can see it has nothing to do with poliltical correctness or gorillas!
4. WILL ISRAEL'S GOV'T NEXT CALL HIZBULLAH, Freedom Fighters???
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.08.05)
Is this propaganda another excuse not to fight back and win the religious war of jihad that is fought day and night against Israel?
5. Nobody can deny
SAVAG ,   Berlin, Germany   (12.08.05)
Nobody can deny that israel occupied lebanon and is still occupying the Shebaa farms which is a lebanese territory. So for sure each occupying power should face resistance. so stop hiding behind ur fingers. A person who defend his land is not a terrorist.
6. IDF are public relation failures
randi ,   Jerusalem   (12.08.05)
why can't anyone in Israel understand that public relations is a profession and needs to be left to professionals. to the IDF: Hire someone it will cost the country a lot less then all of your failures do. Everyone uses such amatures it is embarrassing to be represented by such stupid idiots.
7. #5 People calling terrorists freedom fighters
Isac ,   Florida   (12.08.05)
What an ignorance?!!! 1.) the U.N cerified, that Israeli troops COMPLETELY withdrawled form Libanese torritory. Since Arabs are so fond of the U.N., even you shouldn't have a problem accepting this fact. 2.) Does your opinion "a person has the right to defend his land" mean killing civilians??!!~ Stop with your crap and your arab-street-a-like propaganda and do present the actual facts. Since you do not have ANY you respond simply with your "JIHAD" bull.
8. What's In a Name Anyway?
Joe Levi ,   Los Angeles, USA   (12.08.05)
Look fellow posters, call them what you want, they are a bunch of thugs and murderers (of Jews). Let's call a spade a spade, and get back on the point. They are an illegal militias in Lebanon, above all laws, whose formation is designed to destroy Israel and everything Jewish in the area. The bottom line is they have some power, with 13,000 rockets, etc. They MUST BE DESTROYED ASAP. I am for a Korean type barrier, with mines, between Lebanon and Israel. I am also for ridding the south of Lebanon of these vermon one way or the other. Syria-, Iran, Hezbollah, they are all the same, and should be the targets of Israeli defensive actions.
9. Hizbollah freedom fighters
Hilda ,   US   (12.08.05)
Linda you are so right. Have you seen any newspaper in the US call any of these Arabs what they are terrorists? No they call them militants, insurgents, freedom fighters. so stupid self hating Jews call them that too. I give up . If Israelis can't define them correctly how can we expect Bush and Condi Rice?
10. This Is The Result of Limited Conflict Doctrine
Adina kutnicki ,   NJ   (12.08.05)
This was no slip of the tongue. Unfortunately the IDF high command has been infected with the "limited conflict doctrine". This doctrine does not fight to win a war, rather to contain certain elements. Due to this defeatist atmosphere, many in the high command believe they are fighting guerilla type groups. While they know that Hizbullah's actions are that of terrorists, they are loathe to admit it. Otherwise they have no excuse for their inability to destroy them. Operating against guerillas requires a less vigorous approach than operating against terrorists. They see the Hizbullah threat as unwinnable under the doctrine they have been force fed by the political establishment. I feel sorry for the brave IDF soldiers who fight with one hand tied behind their backs.
11. Let the IDF tell u
SAVAG ,   Berlin, Germany   (12.08.05)
Let the IDF tell u how they where defeated by the Hezbollah and were obliged to withdrew from part of south lebanon or would i say RUN AWAY!!!

SAVAG ,   Berlin, Germany   (12.08.05)
i guess ur the one who is ignorant because Hezbollah have never targeted the civilians unless the israelis targeted the civilians all the military operations were done on the occupying army. so go have some readings or go ask some IDF soldiers who ran away from lebanon and they will tell u.

15. To Nbr 5
Hiram ,   Tel Aviv   (12.09.05)
An organisation not courageous enough to attack military targets and which turn to murdering civilians in IS a terror organisation. Islamic terror organisations , short of having brain and strong political sense are plainly and simply murderers. Their ( leaders ..unsure if this word is correct when referring to such bands of gangsters) capitalize on hatred for the Jews, jealousy of Jewish successes in order to avoid looking at the failures connected with Islamic ideology of Jihad. Terror organisations will be eradicated and the replacers of the replaced....will also be eradicated .
16. IDF PR Solution
Joel Leyden ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (12.09.05)
Solution: Fax Brig. Gen Miri Regev who heads the IDF Spokesperson's Office in Tel Aviv and demand that experienced, veteran PR native English speaking pros living and working in Israel who no longer serve in the IDF get back into service there.
17. Please cut the crap, thank you.
raz ,   Canada   (12.09.05)
>> "An organisation not courageous enough to attack military targets and which turn to murdering civilians in IS a terror organisation." Hizbullah targets are strictly military, unless Lebanese civilians were targeted by the IDF. Even the IDF agrees, and that is exactly why they stopped labeling Hizbullah a "terror" group, since it does not fit the definition. You probably do not agree. If so is the case, research the number of attacks purposely targeting Israeli civilians and divide that by the number of total attacks launched by the Hizbullah. You will get a ratio of 0 and will be forced to accept reality: Hizbullah is not a terrorist group. Still unconvinced? Then post the last attack that purposely targeted Israeli civilians. Then post the last attack that purposely targeted Lebanese civilians. You'll clearly see who is the source of terror. Have fun.
