31. #28 Jewish life in Syria is almost non-existent
Cynthia ,   USA   (12.11.05)
In 1948 there were about 33,000 Jews living in Syria. Now there are less than 100. Jews left Syria due to persecution between the 30s to 50s. In 1933, a Jewish agent stationed in Damascus helped my mother-in-law and her family escape from Syria to Israel. They left their business, home and belongings behind but made a new life for themselves where they could be free.
32. Anyone know...
Kevo ,   Miami, USA   (12.12.05)
...where I can purchase a copy of World Net Daily? Is it sold on newsstands? Can I subscribe and have the paperboy toss a copy at my door each morning? Anyone? Oh, that's right, World Net Daily is not a real newspaper. Or magazine. It's a freakin' website. Run by a Moonie operative from his kitchen table. Has anyone stopped to consider that Syria may have rejected this 'reporter' because he doesn't work for a real news operation and instead 'reports' for a cult run website who's followers worship some Korean fascist who considers himself Godlike. Could this be the reason Mr. Klein was prevented from entering Syria? Nooooooo...it has to be because of his religion. BTW...why is a Jew working for the Moonies? Hasn't Rev. Moon declared himself to be the Messiah? Wouldn't that conflict with Mr. Klein's religous beliefs?
33. sam - why was he refused? because no freedom in syria
mike ,   usa   (12.11.05)
and because asad is a dictator. contrast that with israel, who lets in arab news reporters despite them reporting nothing good about israel. just because in syria jews, christians, and muslims live side by side with each other doesn't mean that the jews and christians can say and do as they like. how many jews have government positions in syria?
34. #21 ynet declined to publish my decent reply ...
Observer ,   Ohio, USA   (12.11.05)
... with a couple of references, seemingly because they don't accept genuine contra-Zionism opinions.
35. Arabs are jealous of Jews.
Daisy ,   USA   (12.12.05)
Face it Jews are superior to Arabs in every way. Arabs like edward and asseshole are filled with jealousy and anger toward the Jews because of this.
36. DANIEL PEARL
DEBRA ,   USA   (12.12.05)
WHEN DANIEL PEARL WAS MURDERED IN PAKISTAN BECAUSE HE WAS A JEW,THERE WAS A LOT OF SECOND GUESSING BY AND OF HIS EMPLOYER, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL. SHOULD THEY HAVE ASKED A JEWISH REPORTER TO GO THERE AND COVER THE STORY? DIDN'T THEY REALIZE HOW MUCH DANGER HE WOULD BE IN? MOST AMERICAN JEWS THOUGHT THE WALL STREET JOURNAL WAS WRONG IN TELLING PEARL TO GO TO PAKISTAN. THESE COUNTRIES HATE JEWS SO MUCH, ISN'T IT DANGEROUS FOR A JEWISH REPORTER TO ENTER THEM?
37. Aaron Klein denied entry visa to Syria
yha ,   canada   (12.12.05)
Syria denied entry to Aaron Kein for whatever reason is not a big deal. I have been denied entries countless of time simply because I am born in Syria. If it is up to me I would denies entry to all those who deny entry to Syrians. Jumblatt is blinded by his hate of the Syrian government consequently he does not know what he is talking about.

You're right about all the international journalists in Israel. In fact, the only place that has more of them is...Washington, D.C.
39. To Edward
NYC Girl   (12.12.05)
I'm not religious either. In fact, I'm an atheist. But the more that racists like you keep spewing your bulls--t, the more I'm going to support Israel.
40. To George in Lebanon
NYC Girl   (12.12.05)
If you think Aaron Klein was kept out of Syria because "he said something damaging," wait until John Batchelor gets a hold of them. And as far as your comment about Syrian doctors driving cabs in Israel, do you have any idea how many Russian doctors end up driving cabs in New York? Apparently, you don't because you only seem to have a fixation with Israel.
41. I wouldn,t let the spy in either
richard Hitchings ,   methil   (12.12.05)
why should Syria let spys into their country??
42. To Kevo # 37
ron ,   NJ   (12.14.05)
To # 37: Notwithstanding your brilliant analysis Aaron Klein also reports for ABC radio, just like John Bachelor. And, if you've ever listened to Bachelor (I do regularly), he is extremely hostile toward Syria, calling them an outlaw regime etc., yet he was granted a visa. So ... what changed between the meeting with the Washington Syrians and the Amman Syrians? Oh ya, they realized he's a Jew! If there were any doubt, it was confirmed by one Syrian official.
