1. It's about time such a film came out!

All everyone is bombarded about every day is the Palestinian refugees....what no one will talk about is the equal amount of Jewish people that were chased out of Arab countries where they had lived for thousands of years and forced flee for their lives. They ran with almost nothing on their back and their property was confiscated by the Arabs. Where is their justice? Yet you dont hear them bleating daily about their raw deal.
3. The Other Refugees
NYC Girl   (12.14.05)
It's definitely about time and the blame should be placed on successive Israeli governments for being so obsessively Eurocentric and overlooking the suffering of Jews who were living in Arab countries. Maybe, in addition to the obligatory pilgrimage to Yad Vashem, foreign dignitaries should also be encouraged to meet with Israelis who came from countries like Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Egypt, and find out something about their experiences.
4. A LOAD OF RUBBISH
Aaron ,   Ma"alot   (12.14.05)
Did the documentary show how israeli agents bombed jewish communities in Iraq and syria and blamed the arabs so that jews would move to israel?? They did the same, even more in egypt. The game is very obvious: israel plans to negociate the right of return of the palestinians for the fabricated rights of the jews in arab countries. See you in court !!!
5. Load of what?
steve   (12.15.05)
Are you kidding me? The Israeli government would not ever purposely bomb Jews in other countries. I really wonder what will happen when palestinians are at the gates of heaven and realize that g-d didn't want them to kill their Jewish brethren. Then the jokes on them.
6. Aaron from Maalot is really an Arab
Dudu ,   Kfar Sava   (12.15.05)
One does not need a PhD in Boolean logic to see this.
7. #4 - a load of crap
J K ,   NYC, USA   (12.15.05)
a) How about sourcing that? Or should we just take your word for it? b) I can see how its possible they might have x, y or z to 'convince' people to move and maybe some were so inclined, but without a concerted effort bigger than the Mossad itself, there is no way for them to get 850,000 people to flee without the 'incentive' of the gov't or the incitement of the people and the confiscation of property and so forth. Even if there is some truth to what you say (and thats doubtful), it would not have been enough,
8. 1 Film is not enough. We need websites, publicity & more
Yael ,   Rishon   (12.15.05)
9. To #8
CZ ,   New York, NY   (12.15.05)
You are right, we do need more publicity and websites etc but FYI there are a few other films out about it ,although they are not well known. For those in NYC, Makor recently has been showing films on this topic. The next one coming up is: The Last Jews of Baghdad: End of an Exile, Beginning of a Journey Tue-Thu, Dec 27-29, 2005, 7:00pm, Steinhardt Building, 35 West 67th Street
10. The true story
Egyptian ,   Egypt   (12.15.05)
The Israeli government actually purposely bomb Jewish interest in Egypt during 1954. Also they target the western interest in Egypt to create some sort of tension between those countries and Egypt. After the group were arrested the deputy of Israeli defense minister resign. But the majority of Egyptian Jews were Innocents. There already a web site for Jews from Egypt. http://www.iajegypt.org/
11. A Load of Rubbish from #4
Cynthia ,   USA   (12.16.05)
You're just another arab story teller. The Israeli or Jewish agents helped Jews escape from these countries. They took care of them and made sure they were absorbed into Israel and other countries while Arab countries let the Palestinians rot in refugee camps.
12. Website on Jews from Arab countries

13. Jewish refugees from 22 Arab lands
Emanuel Lombard ,   Steeles Tavern, Va.   (11.04.06)
I believe thaet Israel has made a terrible mistake in not making sure that the message of the Jewish expulsion from Arab lands is CENTRAL to any peace with the Arabs and for world understanding. In a way, by its silence, it is really the cause of much suffering.
14. #10 Egypt
ESLombard ,   Steeles Tavern, Virg   (05.24.07)
A sad admission: #10 is probably referring to the Lavon Affair which, some say, was an Israeli under-cover attempt to drive a wedge between the US and Egypt. It proved an embarrassment obfuscated by the Sinai Campaign of 1956, an even greater fiasco.
