1. Tefilin in the AM, Non-Kosher in the PM
This line from this article struck me hard: "But as a rabbi, how can you accept people that put on tefillin in the morning and eat non-kosher food in the evening? "
I am such a person, I don't eat treif such as pork/shellfish but I do eat nonkosher meat and mix meat and cheese. I also put on tefilin in the morning. But I feel that as a Jew, I do what works for me and I feel that giving something is better than nothing, going to shul on the high holidays and some Shabbat's is better than doing nothing. It's when other Yehudim judge me that I get irate. We each do what's best for ourselves, we each have a connection to H' that we are comfortable with, no Yehudi is better than another, but I do feel that we should all do something to say to H' Toda for the good that he brings into my life.
