61. I HAVE A SOLUTION TO JERUSALEM
(12.16.05)
Lets divide BOTH Jerusalem AND mecca. We share half of what is holiest to us, and the muslims will share half of what is holiest to them. Can the muslims live with that? I sharing within them? OF COURSE NOT!
62. Re: Linda Rivera - #31 - Right On!
Steven ,   New York   (12.16.05)
Dear Linda, GOD BLESS YOU! You have said better than any Jew does. It is sickening to read that stupid and demented Jews believe that there will ever be peace between Muslims and Jews. This is not a war about a piece of land here and a piece of land there. READ THE QUR'AN IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHERE THE ARABS AND OTHER MUSLIMS ARE COMING FROM! Shame on Jews and especially the so-called "religious" who never say a word about the Holy Temple Mount. They are too busy praying to a wall built by Hordos ha-Melekh, and Apikoros of the first order! It is Har Ha-Bayit that is holy, not the Kotel!!!
63. YNET's polls
Rick ,   California.USA   (12.16.05)
Remind me of Arab elections. The incumbent receives 99.9% of the vote. 49% agree to split Jerusalem....come on!!
64. separate jerusalem according to ethnic localization of pop.
Xavier ,   Paris   (12.16.05)
and there will be peace. After being divided, Jerusalem will not suffer from situation because we will have final that and will always remain Israel's capital. It will also stabilize israel's frontiers and keep a comfortable jewish majority that will save Israel and its democracy. Finally, the palestinians, who are generally willing to destroy our beloved country, are saving Israel's life and raison d'etre, because they are for the separation. this is one of the most reasonable point of view.I hope the remaining 49 will be converted faster to those ideas.
65. The Koran Commands
Ahmed ,   Riyadh   (12.16.05)
I'm actually Seth from DC and my point is that nobody can assume contributors accurately represent themselves. I support giving away part of East Jerusalem as part of a lasting peace and believe the majority of Palestinians (including an increasing number of Hamas members) want a lasting and just peace. Arafat rejected exactly such a plan that would have saved countless lives on both sides. Sharon will hold onto some of the settlement blocks and evict countless West Bank settlements just like Gaza. I believe he will transfer Arab-occupied Israeli lands to a new Palestinian state to compensate for holding on to part of the West Bank. Just like Begin, it takes an old right-winger to make peace and I believe it will happen within five years. Call me crazy. There are extremists on both sides but I believe the Jews & Palestinians want peace.
66. #5 How did Muslim and Arabs get to Jerusalem?
AK   (12.16.05)
No occupation? How did Muslims get to Damascus, Alexandria, Istambul, or anyplace else outside Arabia? Arabs are the biggest imperialists occupying other people's lands -- just ask the Assyrians.
67. Blessings to Jacob and his children

Ma Tovu O hale-ha Yaacov Mish-k'note-ha Israel May Adonai bless you through Yeshua
68. Re: "separate jerusalem" etc. etc.
Kate ,   London   (12.16.05)
Xavier writes: "separate jerusalem according to ethnic localization of pop." A most excellent idea, for Paris that is and not Jerusalem. After your recent troubles I think it's the only way you'll be able to hold your society together. "and there will be peace." Right. And next year the Pope will support gay marriages and abortion. Do you think you could let me have a little of what you are smoking?
69. JERUSALEM BELONGS TO THE JEWS!
Daisy ,   USA   (12.16.05)
Let the Muslims go back to Mecca where they came from!
70. EU jackboot to stomp Jerusalem
David Ben-Ariel ,   Toledo, USA/Menashe   (12.16.05)
The fascist EU will divide Jerusalem and seize the Temple Mount for themselves, brutally betraying foolish Jews and foolish Arabs. http://beyondbabylon.blogspot.com
71. To Mira # 50 - What Are You Referring to?
Adina Kutnicki ,   NJ,US   (12.16.05)
To Mira # 50- What are you talking about? What does IDF suicides have to do with this survey? Are you suggesting that IDF soldiers are killing themselves because of angst over "occupation", and therefore relinquishing Jerusalem will solve their suicidal thoughts? Your post is the one that is obtuse. I can't make heads or tails out of it. And to be sure I am not verbally challenged.
72. Hashem Save!
Michael ,   SF,USA   (12.16.05)
Please Hashem, don't let these heretics give away our holy land. Our people have been connected to this land through the centuries. We have dreamed and continue to long for the peace on earth found in Yerushalayim. I long for the days of glory in the blessed temple. Why are Jews destroying our own heritage? Why are they angering Hashem in this way? What is to gain by denying the glory of the Lord, bless his holy name, in this sacred place? It is true that peace is the goal. It is true that a 2 state solution should be negotiated. But Jerusalem is the Jewish holy city. This has always been so, since the beginnning of creation. Please teach your children about the Torah. Learn the lessons of history. Don't be doomed to repeat history. Remember the 12 spies... Baruch Shemo, Michael

ok this time i will not tell write about donald duck ... i will try hard to dicuss with you an issue .... relgions was never an ID to prove from wher you are because people changing their relegion from time to time but most they stay on the same land ... who can prove that most of the Palistinians were not one day also Jews and many later became Christians and later becam Moslems ... is it possible or not ? ... who can prove that every Jew his roots belong to this land you cam call what ever you want ... you say allways there way never land called Palistin ... but also there was never land called Israel ... not all the Jews belong to this land and not all the Palistinians are forigners on this land ... the fact is which the near history says that some Jewish people came from many difrent places in world ... has nothing in commen together more than they are all Jews ... not same language ... not the same standerd ... not the same culture .... they collect them thelfs escaping from the Nzis maybe ... escaping from poverty maybe ... escaping from dictatorship regim maybe like the Russian Jews who has no idea about relegions but they just find a way to escape from their land ... all of them went to the same land which more than 80% from them had nothing to do with this land before .... you think this is enough reason to throw people out of their homes ... massacering thousends of them and there is a big possibilty that that they are killing their past relativs who knows ... where was the Jews before 1948 ... why they didn't fight for their rights before all of this thousends of years .... in case Hitler was not exesit and he didn't want to kill the Jews and England didn't deside to give this land to the Jews .... whar would be the situation now ??? ... if you have answers to all of this ... please inform me ... i will be glad to hear it
74. I am a christian palestinian and say No peace without jerusa
Jad ,   Ejerusalem Palestine   (12.17.05)
75. MECCA IS HOLY TO MUSLIMS; JERUSALEM IS HOLY TO THE JEWS
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.17.05)
At the time of Muhammad's death, there was not a single mosque in Jerusalem. Jerusalem is mentioned over 800 times in the Bible, not once in the Koran. Muslims pray facing Mecca. Muslims are infamous for taking over and desecrating and destroying the holy sites of other religions-Jews, Christians, Bhuddists, Hindus... The Muslims build mosques on top of the holy sites of other religions to signify that their religion is superior to all others. Muslims did this on the Temple Mount. During the time Jordan controlled Jerusalem from 1948-1967, no foreign Arab leaders visited Jerusalem. Jordanian radio broadcast Friday prayers not from Al-Aqsa Mosque, but from a mosque in Amman. Jordan destroyed 58 synagogues in Jerusalem. Jordan's army desecrated the 2,500 year old Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives. Jordan used Jewish tombstones for pavement and latrines. 13th Century Arab Muslim biographer Yakut, noted: "Mecca is holy to Muslims; Jerusalem is holy to the Jews."
76. Linda
(12.17.05)
Jerusalim is holly for the Christian too and for the Moslems and it was ever open for everybody to visti from all the relegions , where was the Jews all of this years before 1948 .... why they didn't fight for their land before ... why they had to wait till England gave them this land ... why they left this land and escaped everywher .... the Palistinians didn't care about the huge arsenal Israel made by the Help of the USA and stayed to fight for their rights even with stones but they didn't escape like the Jews ... the people who leave their land and they don't fight for it .... they don't deserve to live on it .... ok hatress
77. Too bad a New Reality hasn't dawned for you Rich

I fear it never will either.
78. Don't talk about occupation number 5
Michelle   (12.17.05)
Especially when you consider the fact that Arabs are living on Western lands. Enjoying OUR FREEDOMS and living off of OUR GOVERNMENTS! Hypocrite!
79. no such thing as a palestinian...
ari   (12.17.05)
and if you keep arguing there is then you may come to the conclusion that Palestinians=jews/israeli's. Look at the facts and the truth. Oh I forgot you are a race and religion of death and lies. You make things up as you go to suit your own demented goals.
80. #57, Kate:
Michael Steiner ,   EU   (12.17.05)
An insistence on territorial specificity is not and never has been a tenet of Zionism. Establishment of a homeland of Jews (pre-Israel) and defense of the homeland of Jews (post-1948) are the core precepts on which Zionism is based. Whether that homeland even includes Jerusalem or not is in fact debateable (it does, as far as I'm concerned). If you look at the plans of early Zionists, you can see that they considered several locations other than haAretz as the site of the said homeland. But that's beside the point: most of us agree that Israel has the right to possession of the land within the borders from the time of its recognition (1948/1949). As far as Jerusalem, giving away a few predominantly Arab neighborhoods to a Palestinian state is perfectly fine by me. I don't think for a minute that doing so would detract from Israel being my homeland or that it would emasculate Israel in any way. And all those who're foaming about it seem to me to be unable to see the woods for the trees. The biggest irony is that the most rabid on here appear to be jerks from the USA who're not even Jews. I sincerely wish they'd mind their own business. As far as your orgasm analogy, I'm well versed in the matter. But I can't say I'd mind doing some revision with you, Kate. ;-)

You clearly find it hard to understand. I am under no obligation to reply to what you claim are "pertinent" remarks, for indeed I find them to be impertinent coming from you. I am not prepared to be lectured to by foreigners, who don't have to pay any consequences, security and economic, for their "pertinent" opinions. My discourse is with my fellow citizens and not with you.
83. to AK 66
(12.17.05)
Most of the Arabs who are now in Egypt , Syria , Palistin and so didn't came from Arabia ... and each Moslem now his roots is Arab ... for example in Egypt there is more than 60 millions Moslems ... most of them where one day Christians (Copts) and with time many changed their relegion or married to Moslem an so became .... i think in Palistin is the same thing ... the roots of the people there are Jewish and with time alot changed it can not be the all the Jews left this land to the arabs and if they did ... so they don't deserve it ... good honored people they don't leave their rights ... only cowerds do this .
84. ETERNAL CITY-JERUSALEM-THE HEART & SOUL OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (12.17.05)
Israel's most famous king, king David founded Jerusalem. Reigious Jews pray three times a day in the direction of Jerusalem. Jerusalem is mentioned constantly in prayers. Passover Seder ends with: "Next year in Jerusalem!" And at the conclusion of Yom Kippur. Jerusalem is mentioned in the blessings at the end of meals. During Jewish wedding ceremonies, the groom breaks a glass as a sign of mourning of the destruction of the two Temples, accompanied by Psalm 137: "If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget her skill. May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy." During the First and Second Temple periods, the Temple was the central focus of Jewish life. The First Temple was built by King David's son, King Solomon. 2 Chronicles 2:4:"Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of the L-RD my G-d, dedicating it to Him, to burn fragrant incense before Him and to set out the showbread continually...on sabbaths and on new moons and on the appointed feasts of the L-RD our G-d, this being required forever in Israel." The great, the mighty and the awesome G-D of the universe returned Jewish Holy Land and holy places to the Jews in the 1967 Six Day War. The response of Israeli leaders was shocking. They gave control of Judaism's holiest site, the Temple Mount to Muslims. There are no words to describe this terrible offense - this terrible betrayal of the Ruler of the universe, the Holy One of Israel. Control of Jewish land and the HOLIEST site on earth, the Temple Mount, has been given by Israel's leaders to the enemies of Israel. Bringing down upon Jews ever increasing terror, death, destruction and war.
85. to the idiot in # 15
me ,   me   (12.17.05)
you are so ignorant! Opposit to your heatred statements .... the quran DID talk about Jerusalem. EXACTLY in the middle of the quran, Ch 15 is Surat Al Isra which describes Mohammed Journy from Mecca to Jerusalem! THE FIRST VERSE in the sura talks about that, Fool! Jerusalem was the direction of Prayer for 16 months, b4 the command came to chane to Mecca, Lets look at yoru fake Tora - Its translation or Translation of Translation - at least 4 translations - u canot translate a joke - how can you translate teh word of God! Islam spread b/c idiots like you - who bash Islam, and when people wanst sto learn about these lies, discover nothing but the truth All the nonesense talk about 'women abuse in slam' and now, most who enter into islam are women! in the USA! I have 3 ex-jew friends who are now muslims - one of which was a rabi! You only fool your self by uttering stuoid remarks.
86. It is of course
thor ,   prs   (12.17.05)
completely unfair that the city that is the nr 1 holy place for the jews and also the christians should not be open for these people. That the temple mount which is the most holy place in judaism and only the third in islam should be reserved for moslems is also completely unfair. When there are two other places with greater religious significance than Jerusalem, why this unfairness?
87. #85:
Michael Steiner ,   EU   (12.17.05)
You're right about #15: he/she does appear to be an ignorant idiot. However, you are no better, else you'd know that the Torah has never been translated, except by Xians. Any sefer torah one can see in a synagog is the exact same Torah in the exact same language as the original of thousands of years ago. What the Xians have done to it with its hundreds of translations, then their additions and translations of those additions is a totally different matter altogether.
88. A further response to "Michael of Haifa"
Kate ,   London   (12.17.05)
"Michael of Haifa" writes: "You clearly find it hard to understand. I am under no obligation to reply to what you claim are "pertinent" remarks, for indeed I find them to be impertinent coming from you. I am not prepared to be lectured to by foreigners, who don't have to pay any consequences, security and economic, for their "pertinent" opinions. My discourse is with my fellow citizens and not with you" But Israel is a state that owes its continued existence to the goodwill and exertions of the Diaspora Jews. Playing the "ugly Israeli" may do wonders for you ego, but you ignore our advice at your own peril. In addition, while Israel is directly responsible for almost all of this current and terrible wave of anti-Semitism in the world, we have just as much right as you to voice an opinion about these matters. My own opinion is that if you give away the very essence Jewish birthright, you no longer deserve the support of the Jewish Diaspora and should be left to fend for yourselves. I certainly am not willing to fight tooth and nail in almost impossible circumstances to allow secular Israelis to attend nightclubs in soulless abominations like Tel Aviv. I suppose we Diaspora Jews can consider ourselves lucky that at least 49% of Israelis have not taken leave of their senses.
89. Re: "to the idiot in # 15"
Kate ,   London   (12.17.05)
First of all I was going to ask for an English translation of your post. Then I realised that it would be far better if I advised you to lie down in a darkened room for the rest of the day. Perhaps your mother should also phone your local doctor just to be sure. Do take good care of yourself and let us all know how you get on.
90. Re: Response to Steiner
Kate ,   London   (12.17.05)
Steiner writes: "As far as your orgasm analogy, I'm well versed in the matter. But I can't say I'd mind doing some revision with you, Kate. ;-) " I was going to reply in full but the above suggestion has quite turned my stomach and made me unfit for the task. Why you imagine I'd want to make out with a man at least old enough to be my father, I really don't know. Men and their ridiculous vanity. Sigh.
