History says this land was RENAMED Palestine or Aelia Palestina by the Romans in a further attempt to put down further rebellions by the Jews against Roman rule. It was known as Judea before this due to the Jews (imagine that) and this being their homeland for centuries before Roman rule. Many nations have come and gone, but the Jews endured 2000+ years to come back and reclaim their birthright.
